I've just ordered my 1st rc boat yesterday, and i went big with the SW 36" V2. From driving 1/10-1/7 scale rc, i had to go big. Oh I've been binge watching your videos, all the other channels I've watched thus far, Aren't informative and give a detailed breakdown of the boat like you do. Thank you, and you've rightfully earned a subscriber.
And this is how you maintain your rc boat any rc boat some people grease every run the more you maintain it the longer itll last treat it better than your car :)
One thing I do is just before pushingthe flex cable into the coupling I wipe the grease off that end so no grease at all gets in where the collet grips the cable
@@jcallesano yes I just bought the impulse 32 and I tell you what, this boat is super fast the other day it got air born and it cracked on the right side all the way down the back of the boat thank goodness for the warranty it’s going in tomorrow to get fixed or replaced and I grease that one every night
Don’t wanna tell ya how to do the grease but if you read the manual it says to avoid greasing the first couple Millimeter’s of shaft where the collar tightens on to so you don’t lose the entire flex cable.
Roger that thanks for the tip. That's basically why I use a card to prevent grease from getting into the collet. Good luck not getting grease on the first couple mm of the shaft. Grease in the collet is fine I've been running boats for years and run my boats every other day. Trust me it will be ok👍
They make a mini grease gun that tube attaches to it threads right into it. I have to say that it works awesome! The grease goes exactly where you want it to in small amounts. Plus it squirts it right up the shaft! Peace "Boat Gang"
It should be slightly lubricated, I'd grease it just to be safe. I grease my boats before each run. it's like a ritual... I also remove the flex cable after each run so the cable doesn't rust

I can't find any delta force hulls any where OFFSHORE ELECTRICS HAS NO HULLS AVAILABLE. NONE, I've been checking regularly. Been wanting to build a vortex since last year. And I don't know where else to find deltaforce hulls. Mhz is to expensive for me.
Hi Man, I don't know your name. My name is Michele, I'm writing to you from Italy, I love all your videos and I've been a fan of RC Boats for more than 20 years. I have a Sonicwake V 2 that I've been using for several months. sea water with all the precautions you can imagine... I have never had any problems until now. Having had the problem that the transmission hose slipped inside the coupler, after having noticed that despite tightening to the end the coupler nuts, the whip kept slipping. (there is no grease in the coupler....) So I changed the whip, the coupler and the Teflon tube but I still have the same slippage even with the new coupler obviously original proboat for the sonicwake v2! What I notice is that the new coupler also reaches the end of its stroke by tightening completely against the nut that attaches to the motor axis, while, if I remember correctly, it can also be seen in the your video, the coupler shouldn't tighten completely... I can't understand where the problem is. It all started because at sea, as you can understand, there are waves and therefore the boat bounces with the propeller coming out often out of the water....I know this ruins the transmission, but I still put in new parts... that is, new coupler, hose and Teflon tube! Do you have any advice for me? Is there a better coupler than that one? original? If so, where could I buy it from? Thanks Man!!Thank you so much for your answer!
Have you replaced the flex cable yet? Look at your flex cable, make sure it's not compressed, if the end is compressed where the couple grabs onto it you'll need a new cable
I've been using dynimite because it's environmentally safe, I actually have good success with red & Tacky wheel bearing grease mixed with the dynimite grease. Grim Racer speed grease used to be my go to for all my boats but they quit producing it!
I have the same boat that I just purchased. Are you still running the liner in the stuffing tube? I plan on keeping mine greased after every run so I don't think I'll remove it.

hey man quick question did your v2 come with that bushing on your flex cable or did you put it on?
WHy do you need to leave a gap on the drive dog and the stinger? And how do i do that?
Cable shrinkage, if there's a lot of pressure put on the flex cable, it'll break if there's not a gap. Set the gap at the coupler before tightening
