Hey bro at this time you had already new esc and servo like you said give up on the second run, no more power cuts or erratic running i see and that prop will surely give a hard time on the esc. It will be a blast on a bigger lake. Nice video man.

You should know this or have this figured out already. You have a ballast hole on the left side of the boat that fills with water when stationary for self writing purposes, your boats always gonna lean to that left side batteries or no batteries inside the boat left-hand turns are going to be more difficult because, that open hole is gathering some water inside where your right side is all solid hall. Hope you understand what I’m explaining.

boats with off-set helms only turn owing to moving - they dont have a propwash on2 the rudder - another factor is paddle effect from revving up - u go sideways at the stern - in effect its like rudder input! ive found that the fins or knives can hopelessly impede the rudder espec when the prop paddle effect is on. - flipping one or both right up and only leaving the leading edge as now a trailing edge and with greatly reduced area - better even getting or making different sizes?? - its a balance between how it steers during different speeds - trading turning ability for speed or stability at speed for manoeuvrability.... with that speed u need a bigger pond - how about the sea or one of the great lakes?? happy speed-boating!!!😀😄😁

Thanks for the info. I have access to a pond 10x larger and a small lake for speed runs. That pond in this video is in my back yard. I've been learning a lot about the boat world thanks to you and others that chime in.

Boats with flood chambers tent to list to the side, I have 4 boats with flood chambers including 2 sonicwakes, all have a list because it’s designed this way for self righting. Btw what is the size of the prop?. Rcboatbitz sells a great turn fin that works excellently on my sonicwakes. Check out my video on Bequia kee tee

I just thought it was from the heavy lipos I run. This is my first self righting boats but am familiar with the flood chamber so that does makes sense. I'll check out Rcboatbitz for turn fins as well. I'll check your channel out now. Thanks

Jesus, you need half the damn lake because of the horrible cavitation

@@nwirc the cavitation is just from the design of the prop, not much tuning for that.

Yeah, you're getting a lot of cavitation. Try some different props. I recommend a 4519 from Oxidean Marine or 3 blade 4316. They're both great props and will give you better acceleration and less cavitation off the line then that stock prop. And an ABC 1816 cleaver balanced and sharpened will give you awesome top speed. I'm getting about 80 to 85mph out of mine with a Spektrum 160A ESC and 2 CNHL 4s lipo's.

Stop trying to turn left with rc boats designed to turn right. If you wanna turn left get an inline rudder and or a RH prop. Proboat has gone away from any semblance of a “club race” type rc boat and just makes all this plastic crap now but forgot to set them up correctly for turning left.

    • @nwirc

I understand it leans but it leans more with the heavy 9000mah lipos. My v2 must have a defect cause unless I tape the canopy it will get water in it every time. And I do tighten the canopy bolts tightly.
