    I went on Chrome to do a search for buying a new pressure regulator for my Weber Genesis grill and saw this video. Tried it, and now the grill works great! You saved me money and time.

    I couldn't believe it worked - but it did! Thanks! I had connected and reconnected the regulator several times, but never opened the valve gradually as you suggested. Did that, and wow! What a difference!

    Worked for me after cleaning some of the parts to start the season and installed a new tank. Wouldn't heat up past 300 after about 15 mins. Followed the steps in vid and the temp shot up to 500 within 2 mins! Thank you.

    I was doing all these things and it still wasn't working. Then, I tried rotating the burner controls while the tank was disconnected. When I did that, I heard a slight "poof" sound. When, I hooked everything back up, it worked. I saw that at 0:53 in the video, you gave the burner knobs a very slight twist to the right, then back to the left. That's the step that got it to work for me. Thanks.

    Question.. I have a Weber summit gold and everything was working okay until tonight.. everything starts up fine but the first two burners, of the temp control
    Knobs are switched from high to low, the burners lose the flame and go off? The other four burners don’t have this problem but the first two, only work while set on high. The electrode is lose with the collector box being open on top. Could this be the issue? Or is it a propane air flow issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Tried this, didn’t work. Replaced my regulator, didn’t work. Replaced my burner and tank, didn’t work.
    No matter what, would hardly ignite. Local BBQ place told me with the elements turned to off, slowly turn the tank valve on, then off, ten slowly on again. Worked like a charm.
    Said if the regulator isn’t already pressurized when the tank is turned on, it’ll trip and block the flow.

    • @Studio1300Productions
      @Studio1300Productions  6 лет назад

      Hey Thanks for Watching! I agree... heat distribution is important when grilling, but I think it depends on what your serving up. When I'm doing BBQ chicken I tend to slow cook, with heat even and low... Steaks and Hamburgers, fast, and high heat... But that just me. Thanks again and I'll bring it up to the experts at RF Ohl. Keep watching!

  • @chrisg.5577
    @chrisg.5577 5 лет назад +3

    Ah, Ive been struggling with this for years, never really knew what was going on. So apparently, the regulator goes into a shut off mode when it senses a surge (leak/open valve)? Thanks for the vid!
    PS: Your grill grates are upside down. :)

    • @richsherie1843
      @richsherie1843 5 лет назад

      Chris G. Yeah, I see some people prefer them that way. The Genesis has them like that, but you can tell the difference.

    • @chrisg.5577
      @chrisg.5577 5 лет назад +2

      @@richsherie1843 Upside down, you have those horizontal cast ridges that hinder spatula use, and makes it hard to clean. Food is also more likely to fall into the wider spaces, and you have less flat surface for searing and grill marks.

    • @richsherie1843
      @richsherie1843 5 лет назад

      Chris G. Yep, and that’s where you tell the difference. But, some still like to use them upside down, I don’t know, maybe for thinner grill marks? I don’t know. I use mine right side up.
