Thanks for reviewing, Chris. I hid behind the cushions for the Glenrothes review but I’m enjoying so much of what comes out of Loch Lomond - OB’s and indies. I tried the Lowrie’s last night funnily enough (courtesy of James) and was really impressed- good price too.
And price has its part to play too: you expect whisky to be damn good for £150/bottle, but not necessarily so at £35 - the price of TB’s BSW and SRV5 - both of which are stunningly good for the money and comfortably on a par with McLean’s Nose.

I’d never thought about Loch Lomond being constant regardless of age (until it gets really old) but that comment lit some lightbulbs in my head 😊 Cheers 🥂

I like most of the Inchmurrins, an underrated distillate IMO. SMWS has been bringing a bunch of really nice ones lately.

Gland you enjoyed the Lowrie's blend. The Thompson Brothers blends are incredibly good value for money, looking forward to your thoughts on the TB/BSW, SRV5 and of course the Dornoch single cask. Most of the single malt bottlings I have had have been great as well and also priced fairly in my opinion. Cheers

Forgot to say, I love the title. Surprised not to hear you say 'Billions of blistering blue barnacles!'

Cheers for your review Chris. I'm a fan of what they are doing, but to be honest the majority of their whisky bottlings I have bought and tasted have been older expressions. The rum releases I have bought from them have been fantastic - their 13 yo TDL was really good and the 10 yo Dominican they released last year was one of my favourite rums of the year. Good value with those rums as well imo.
