      Hello I appreciate your concern. Yes my family and friends are very supportive and I have gotten better since then. I stopped cutting and I'm doing better mentally at least. I started talking to my friends about it and never really realized how common ibs is. Looking back at the comment I made I cringe honestly. I go through periods of being very optimistic and periods of being pessimistic. When I was diagnosed with ibs and was told that it is incurable I was never the same since. But your video has given me hope. Seeing how happy you are, honestly it's contagious. Thank you.

      H Pylori is a bacteria that causes stomach ulcers and changes the PH of your stomach acid sometimes causing acid reflux, you have to use triple antibiotics to get rid of it. If that fails, then you can also use natural stuff like eating lot of Broccoli Sprouts, drink Celery Juice and Mastic Gum to eliminate it.

    I saw this video a year back when I was diagnosed with IBS. At that time I was terrified thinking there is no cure to this syndrome.
    I didn't give up, I watched several videos and found only handful of them useful.
    I worked really hard to cure it , and within 2 months of intense efforts I successfully went symptom free. In another 3 months I lost my fear of ibs. At the beginning it was very tuff , I could only eat rice , pulses and bland food. After about 9 months I went back to eating everything.
    I also read books that empower you to find a cure and it helped me change my beliefs and fear into positivity.
    Meditation plays a key role in healing ibs.

      @@AnnaCheney Hi there.
      I had IBS mixed.
      Although my symptoms were very minimal I decided to tackle it before it got worse.
      This goes back to December 2018 when I noticed pain in my Umbilical region , after I consumed a piece of cake which was infected. It started of as bacterial colitis. Since I took a lot of stress and was nervous most of the time the pain gradually increased, until I had pain almost every moment. Doctors said it was psycological ( indeed it was, 100% of physical ailments are psychosomatic) but the pain doesn't go away by not thinking about it. It goes away when you stop worrying , stressing and most importantly stop the buffering of negetive thoughts. Easier said than done. Why most people suffer from ibs and not all? Its because of the neuropathway that we create unknowingly that reaches the gut. Normal stressful situations kills the gut bacteria and affects daily bowel habbits. IBS is just the advanced version of it.
      What I did to recover from it:
      I gave up on meat and spicy food.
      Went to a doctor who set my gut biome by prescribing Rifiaxmine, probiotics and Smooth muscle relaxants ( muscle relaxants will only work best when you stop sending negetive signals to your gut, I suffered pain inspite of taking them)
      Never consume laxatives as it would aggravated your discomfort or eat such food.
      Once I set my gut biome to normal I decided to stop the pain killers , since it doesn't provide cure.
      I read Bibel stories where learned Jesus Christ had the power to cure diseases. Everytime I prayed or connected to the divine realm the pain vanished, only to come back later.
      So it was clear to me that I needed to be positive throughout the day. It was not easy, I had breakups , financial breakdowns and suffered from depression and anxiety for 2 years, so being positive was hard. I thank my god for bringing me a beautiful book that changed my life, "THE POWER OF YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND BY DR. JOSEPH MURPHY". This book Gave me hope and I took the first step to relieving my discomfort. I took it step wise. Reduced the pain from 18 hours a day to 16, then 12 and so on until it was gone. I tricked my subconscious mind to be positive by chanting positive words at the back of my mind. After about a month of doing this my pain had disappeared.
      When I saw your video, i thought I would be lucky to find a bug in my gut, so I could get back to normal life by getting rid of it.
      I lived in constant fear, reading comments where people say they suffered for years. I didn't want to suffer, and decided to push the brakes and take a different approach to every aspect of life.
      You can watch videos on how to cure IBS by one of the healers out there in youtube. He suffered the same and cured his ibs as well. He was my inspiration too.
      Lastly meditation is the most powerful tool to cure any disease. It helped my to conquer the pain rapidly.
      All I did was to turn every sickly cells in my body to healthy by feeding them messages of perfect health through prayers, doing good. It's hard work but pays off well once you achieve your goal.
      I did high level of meditation to release my fear. You will find videos on that as well. I decided to live in pain so that I could find a cure.
      I am a Doctor from India. And I belive Medicine can help you in great ways but the cure lies within you.
      Have a great day and live happy no matter what.

When i tell about it to my parents, they don’t seem to really care about it. It also is just making me depressed constantly worrying about what could happen when i’m like going out or do an activity with friends. And on top of that, the pain is just really unbearable. If u still have the same problem. It's probably hard on u. I had been the same. I took homoepathy treatment for 4 months now, already 80% recovered. I pain disappeared within a month. My IBS -d got 80% better. But to completely recover along with the root cause, I would need 8-9months is my doctor said.
      It's obvious sometimes IBS shows different symptoms like me.
      First I had it because of stomach pain and irritation then during perios , hormonal changes. But finally I discovered it's because of acidity causing indigestion and bloating.
      So now I am not on ibs medication but only on acidity, which did controlled my stool once a day, and improved it far better.

    I have something that's probably IBS. I Very often have stomach problems but also lung problems. My stomach is often cramping in the middle, and if i take too deep breaths it is irritating my stomach. Anytime i eat something with dairy my lungs seems damaged, so that my breath becomes terrible for 1-2 weeks, and i cough up small clots of blood. I've tested myself for gluten but that was negative, and all they do for my lungs is to test if i can breathe in and out strong enough, and they won't do anything more. Also my stomach affects my anxiety a huge deal, so if I've not been careful for a while and eaten pasta or bread or something like that, the day after my mood is terrible. I hate life. I can't be as nice and bubbly as I want to be, and I'm tired most of the time. I hate not being able to order a cheezy pizza or having some creamy minced meat with pasta or something like macaroni and cheese, and having some pastries. I've had these problems for 30 of my 40 years and they'd better make progress with the research about this crap now. It's also hard to order food because they don't get the problem with milk. Some people think that milk intolerance and lactose intolerance is the same thing. They go "yeeah sure we have dairy free stuff". And then they serv lactosis free which i can't tolerate. And if i debate and ask if they understand the difference they like roll their eyes.

    My symptoms disappeared after I eliminated grains, sugar, high fiber veggies, beans, seeds and processed foods.

I'm wondering now if there's a potential parasite causing these symptoms since this seems to be more common in travelers... unfortunately, doctors in the UK are too quick to scoff at the idea of parasites, giving the patronizing "drink more water, take some senna" alternatives.

    This is amazing! So pleased for you. I am CONVINCED I have something similar. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease in 2007 and have had it under control (relatively) ever since. However, three years ago I moved cities and had a strange bowel movement and the next day and every day after (yep, even now) I had a constantly bloated/distended belly. I have had every test under the SUN except a parasite test because I'm afraid my doctor will laugh at me... so ridiculous I know... but I have an appointment with a different gastroenterologist very soon and I'm going to raise it with him and hope he can put my mind at rest at least. I'm currently doing the low fodmap diet and while some foods do make me more bloated and gassy, I still ALWAYS have a constant bloat and that's not IBS, i'm sure of it. Yet, I started having this problem about 5 months ago... the list of foods I am down to that I can actually eat and enjoy are: sweet potatoes, Jamaican pumpkin (like a squash), well-cooked carrots, ripe banana, gluten-free oats, coconut, almond butter, eggs, chicken, and some fish.

    My son has IBS symptoms starting from bacteria from chicken. He has had it for 6 months but in the last 2 it has flared up. I have given him Ivermectin to see if that will kill any parasites causing this. His diet has changed and it's really a healthy diet but no sugar is the main one. I'm waiting to see the results of this because we have tried everything. You look fresh happy and healthy.

    I'm really glad you're ok now. I wish that was my case too, but actually, before my IBS diagnosis, the doctors thought about the possibility of a parasite. I did lots of fecal tests and everything turned out to be fine, which should be good but actually it makes me feel hopeless. I've only had the symptoms for about a year and I can't imagine being years like this. I feel like I can't have a social and romantic life anymore because everything involves going for drinks o eating. Thanks for sharing your story.

      They could pretty much find nothing in my gut. So yeah, instead to cope I have no social life, no romantic life, no job and have to avoid all sorts of food. I have no income but hopefully soon some government support. So I can actually afford a hobby and new clothes.

      If you’ve take any antibiotics it may have destroyed your gut microbiome leading to ibs symptoms. So look into feceal matter transplants, probiotics and fermented food. Also some doctors don’t test for more uncommon parasites that can cause IBS so go to a doctor that knows about the link between IBS and parasites. They may give you a more comprehensive test.

    In 2011, I traveled to Syria and one day I felt that I want to go toilet and felt something doesn't go right with my stool. From that time I started gradually to have the same symptoms that you had before to cure yourself. Two years after that, I told my father about this symptoms ''he is a Doctor'' and he told me '' my son this is possibly a Microscopic unicellular parasite'' he gave me a course of cure, I can't remember what are they,. Sadly, I was lazy and didn't take the issue seriously and didn't take the cure just because I don't like medicine. After that I traveled abroad for studying and have never discussed the problem with my father again. I checked with Doctors here in UK and I checked on the Internet, they all say it is IBS. Okay they all said IBS so they should be right. I made a diet, stopped eating gluten, did sport, lost weight, lab lab lab but nothing seems to help yet until I saw your video now. Now, I remembered what my father said. I hope this would be my cure as well.

    Super interesting to hear about this and I'm so glad you finally got rid of your stomach problems! The smile of yours in this video really shows pure joy and gratefulness which is so nice to see and 100% understandable(!!!). I've had IBS(?) myself for 10 years, and like yourself, I got food poisoned but in South America. I went to the hospital and they took some tests and concluded I had IBS. No tests were taken for parasites though. I'm super interested in visiting this doctor that you visited in Sydney. They just seem to lack knowledge about this in Sweden compared to other countries. Is there a way for me to get in touch with this person? I'm desperate for help :(

      @Ruktiet Год назад

      It's likely because of microbiotic overgrowth. Look into SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth); it's a MAJOR cause of gas production in the upper GI-tract, and EXTREMELY underrecognized and thus underdiagnozed. It's cause is often food poisoning with CdtB endotoxin producing bacteria such as Campylobacter jejuni, Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli, Shigella sp, Helicobacter pylori, etc., causing post-infectious anti-vinculin antibodies causing an auto-immune response to the vinculin in the nerve cells of the enteric nervous system, which damages the migrating motor complex, which causes stagnant food remains in the small intestine, which causes bacterial overgrowth. Look up all of these terms if you don’t know what they mean. The most important one is the migrating motor complex. It’s a series of peristaltic waves that occur during fasting (contrary to the normal peristalsis that occurs when eating to push the bolus of food down your GI-tract), and are intended to clean out your stomach and small intestine from food debris. It’s your best friend when it comes to getting rid of the overgrowth, and it’s interrupted by eating, even drinking water. Testing consists of a glucose or lactulose breath test that checks for the gases hydrogen gas, methane, and hydrogen sulfide. Most tests only test for the first two, which is a bad thing as it can lead to false negative results. Treatment consists out of taking appropriate antibiotics; 550mg of rifaximin 3 times daily for hydrogen gas, and add neomycin or metronidazole on top of the rifaximin if you have methane overgrowth. During this time, you should eat some FODMAPs as to keep the bacteria fed, because they become resistant to antibiotics when unfed. Phase two consists out of taking a prokinetic, preferrably prucalopride 0.5mg at least 4 hours after your last meal at bedtime, and fast at least 12 hours after ingestion. Don't snack between meals as to not interrupt migrating motor complex function, eat very low-FODMAP in this phase, contrary to the first phase, and fast as much as you can. Do this for about 2 monts. This should get rid of the SIBO. Phase three is avoiding a relapse by sometimes taking a prokinetic when you feel like you're getting bloated or start burping again a bit more. Look at Mark Pimentel's research to verify this.
      If it’s not SIBO, and your breath test is paradoxically negative, it might very well be SIFO (fungal overgrowth in the small intestine). Most often it’s due to Candida (albicans), but there are other species able to colonize the small intestine as well. These fungi produce CO2 as a gas metabolite, which is indistinguishable from the CO2 your body itself produces for normal functioning, thus it can’t be tested by means of a breath test. Treatment consists out of taking fluconazole 100mg for 3 weeks, and drastically reducing carbohydrate intake. Look into Satish Rao’s research to verify this
      Always discuss these things with your doctor before treating

    I have not-so-solid stool in morning. Sometimes I have to go to 2 Or 3 times to poop in the morning. Doctors said it's IBS. But after 2 months, I fed up and went over Medicine shop and bought a high Power DIARRHEA CURING ANTIBIOTIC and to my surprise, it worked miraculously. I started getting solid poop but not so connected so I kept on that medicine and my poop was unexpectedly better than before. After 4 days, I stopped eating that antibiotic and then the stool started to come like earlier. I got disturbed and then start searching on RUclips and in the way I come across your video and now I think that there is high probability that I don't have IBS but some INFECTION as antibiotic working miraculously. Now I am going to get the parasite test. Thank you for sharing your experience.

    Though your story is very helpful but the title is quite misleading. Your issue wasn’t IBS it was due to parasites which is totally a different thing. Those who live w IBS like myself know for a fact there is no cure. This is a life long disease. Yes there are treatments, supplements or diets to alleviate symptoms but there’s no one fix all miracles. Consider yourself lucky that you don’t have it. I do agree w one thing, if constipation is dominant, adding wholesome fiber like flaxseeds can make all the difference.

    • @AnnaCheney
      @AnnaCheney  6 лет назад +3

      SAMMY’S WORLD hi there. I hear what you’re saying. And I agree that there is no one fix all. IBS is a condition or disorder and I was diagnosed with it many years ago as I had all of the signs and symptoms. It can be caused by many things including stress, various foods, drugs, parasites etc.
      In my case, my IBS was caused by a unicellular parasite and I do consider myself very lucky to have found out about that and had a positive response to the medication.
      Have you been checked for parasites?

    • @sammysworld5485
      @sammysworld5485 6 лет назад +6

      Anna Cheney when I was 20 bk in 1992, I had a severe case of food poisoning that lasted a whole month. My IBS symptoms began from that experience frwd. Yes I had many stool test, colonoscopies & endoscopy but of course in those days Drs knew very little abt IBS or how to treat them. Now 25 yrs later I had to self educate & experiment w many different things. During 2012, I tested positive for H. Pylori which I successfully treated twice. So my Chronic GI issues are never ending. Though I take daily supplements to alleviate symptoms but they are never cures. It’s part of my life & I have learned to live w it to the best I can. This disease is literally a pain in the butt 😳☹️😣😖😫

      Hi Sammy. That sounds like an awful experience. I'm sorry you have had to go through this. Have you had a test recently for microscopic parasites?

    • @chantaln6352
      @chantaln6352 6 лет назад +4

      Hi Sammy, I honestly don't think it's misleading at all. As Anna stated in the video, for years she's been led to believe, by doctors no doubt, that she suffers from IBS. For everyone suffering with IBS, we actually know that IBS is a collection of symptoms and that they don't actually know what the cause of it is. That is why there is no cure, because they don't know what it actually is. Unfortunately there's not enough research that has gone into it in order to find out. I believe what Anna has done is, given us not only awareness but also hope, that this could be a huge stepping stone into finding out what the underlying cause of IBS might be. And to be honest I think Anna's video could hugely impact you by what you're saying, if you've had a bout of severe food poisoning, that could be why you got IBS in the first place if it's a parasite. It's definitely worth getting it checked into. I know you said you've been tested, but from the research I have done, apparently Blastocystis can be a difficult one to test for as it has to be done a certain way and maintained a certain way so that the parasite is still alive when it's being tested for. Hope this helps.

    I've just been to my doctor (UK) and we don't have a test for this parasite. The parasite you mention is mainly from people who travel a lot or from untreated water.
    The three treatments you got were an anti fungal, antibiotic and one for the parasite my doc said.
    Great that this treatment worked for you. But it doesn't seem a normal case for most ibs sufferers. Still worth checking, to be clear of the symptoms must be amazing.
    My doc also said there's a lot of speculation on that actual parasite being the cause of ibs like symptoms.
