I really hope he gets the Heisman. Boise State was a JUCO school up until about 1969, and became Div. 1A in about 1996. Jeanty winning the Heisman would be a program milestone. And he is all about adding to the legacy of Boise State running backs. I hope he gets it.
I’ve watched Jeanty LIVE. In person, Jeanty’s “burst,” speed, quickness and power “pop” your eyes. Early on, almost every commentator who just watched tape would say, it’s the weak competition and poor tackling. However, in person you see Jeanty elude and shed contact with such power it’s surprising and…stunning. Other times Jeanty just runs over the defender. In most of his runs if defenders don’t get a total head to toe body wrap on him, he will break away. Every time Jeanty touches the ball there is a real chance he could take it to the house. Jeanty is still putting up gaudy numbers even when coaches scheme by spying Jeanty with their best defenders and load up the box with 70% of their personnel committing to stop him. He is flat out the best running back in the country.
So what is their explanation for what he did to Oregon? People who are saying that have an agenda and probably want Travis Hunter or Cam Ward to win the Heisman.
Just an FYI, Ashton's 40 yd time is 4.42, he squats 725lb with ease, Coaches won't allow him to go higher. Once in space would be tacklers bounce off him like like a bowling ball contacting the pins. He is phenomenal at RB and more so as a human being. Whether he wins the Heisman or not, (Very bias towards Power 5 conference players) his NFL career will out shine any of the others that are invited to the Downtown Athletic Club in NY.
Long time BSU fan here - Jeanty is the best we've ever produced. And that's including Ajayi and Kellen Moore. Because I think this kid has the stamina to play in the NFL. He's injured and tired now in week 13, but still bowling through people.
If you watch film of him pre-Hawaii you will see him faster, burstier, better moving laterally and spins, more bowling ball running and brutal stiff arms. Since Hawaii he's been so beat up that he has lost some of those traits due to injury. Even at 70-80%, he's is still massively impressive.
His vision is amazing he always finds a seem his lateral quickness and contact balance is off the charts and his speed might not be elite it’s more than adequate and he is a much h better receiver than he is given credit for. He is this years Brock Bowers. He is the biggest no brainer in the draft. I will be shocked if he is not an elite H.O.F caliber RB in the NFL
Travis shouldn’t even be in the conversation He wasn’t in the conversation until prime came out and took the podium every two hours Ashton j deserves heisman 🏆 EASY
You cant judge Jeanty on the films starting with the Hawaii game. He got beat up that game and on due to OL injuries and teams putting 9 in the box. Before Hawaii he was much quicker, faster and more explosive. Go back to the tape and see what he did to Oregon.
Travis Hunter has an attitude of entitlement, while Jeanty is more humble despite how extremely talented he is. Travis Hunter is the complete opposite of the type of person Ashton Jeanty is. Travis Hunter acted like a little b**** when he was asked about Jeanty making the Heisman run.
It’s a one man show…he’s winning the way I see it. Vegas knows what their doing…. They have Travis there so they can manipulate money bets. Travis has had a second bad game in a row and he’s moving up in the money and “pulling away”. lol. The media is behind Hunter but that is in now way shape or form meaning he’s having good games. Go back and watch the tape Hunter is simply not making his team win…especially when he has multiple poor to mid performances. While Jeanty is amazing to great every game
This is a fact. I talk about Ashton on my tiktok page same name as I have here. The CU fans harass me. Might be good to have some of you on here come and help them deal with reality.
There will always be those who overlook him or downplay his success simply because he plays at Boise State. (Those same people will likely rip on me for posting this comment.) Veremos.
In order for Travis to win he should get 2000 yards receiving and 10 interceptions, in my opinion. Come on, let’s just set ridiculously high bars… Jeanty leading a top offense in the nation and all major RB stats in the process. IN MY OPINION if he keeps leading his team to a MW championship, gets into the playoffs and continues to dominate RB stats he should win over Hunter average stats who’s just overplayed.
@@BetterLiving247being mediocre isn't Heisman quality. Hunter is ranked #14 at WR and #58 at CB. "Total snaps and Total Breaths taken" during a game doesn't count for anything

THANK YOU for posting this video!
This is the best analysis of this player (Ashton Jeanty) I have seen thus far. Well done.

Correction 600 something…coaches said he COULD do 700
One of the best overall players in college ball, PERIOD!

Setting records. Unbelievable. Unlike others being considered. Nice to be able to play - yet is it the best in college football. Jeanty is for real.
Jeanty has said, "I am a man of God disguised as a football player", meaning that he is just a good God-fearing person.

Saying he isn’t the “burstiest” when he runs 23 mph is wild 🤣
Plus, teams are stacking the box to stop the run and Jeanty is still getting 150+ a game
I'm interested to see if he ends up being a top-10 pick or not.
With how much people have talked about this being a “down year” I’m very interested as well!
He will

Ashton is the better person if that matters.
Travis is a fantastic person, too. Shame on you for acting like you know otherwise.
Calm down bud, I agree comes across as a better person. It’s an opinion, get over it.
Haha coach Primes fanboys are super touchy
#HEI2MAN
Funny part is that hashtag could work for both #2 or #12.
@@seachyattthat's why Colorado fans just recently started doing it. They are trying to copy the Jeanty Hei2man tag
Why is San Diego state the focus game of this video instead of highlights of all the other games??

5 starting offensive linemen injuries and still putting up numbers.

DUDE! stop giving away his secrets. Just say he’s lucky and has a low center of gravity. Come on. We need him to survive the playoffs.
haha it needs to be known!

He's got 18 catches for just over 100 yards. 😂
in order for Jeanty to win IN MY OPINION he would have to have a Barry sanders 1988 kinda season. He’s having a great season at Boise State

@ nope. He plays both ways
Uh, thats what I said.. Jeanty still more deserving

@Idaho27 does he? Where does he stack up against other running backs in receiving yards? 18 for 100 yards isn't heisman worry.
Jeanty has more yards after contact than Hunter does in total. Case closed. Hei2man Jeanty 💪
