@@Junkman2008 Bro you obviously don’t have a clue and have built up this shrine to Lamar as some kind of unbeatable god. I watched him at Louisville, I’ve watched him with the ravens - I am expressly telling you why people had doubts about him. Same as I am telling you why the Ravens had issues with the contract of a QB who runs a lot and was injured 2 seasons in a row…. Lamar is not a “normal” QB in the NFL. He is never going to be a Mahomes style QB or a Herbert style QB because that’s not who he is… what made him so good at college and what has made him so good at the NFL level has been his athleticism and his dual threat capabilities. You are either deluded or you don’t watch him enough to understand that. Lamar is great, I love Lamar but people need to really stop pretending that he is the greatest QB to have ever lived and people really need to understand that “Work Ethic” doesn’t mean you will succeed at the highest level. If Lamar does not win a SB his deal is a categorical failure for the Ravens - FACT. Wins in regular season don’t mean anything if you can’t win the actual highest pressure game. Nothing I said was outrageous, the only person who doesn’t know what they are talking about is the guy who thinks that Lamar is the best thrower in the league and is literally unbeatable and that regular season wins means a player is worth a kings ransom. Sorry if you don’t understand that, I don’t know what to say.
- In a funny way the Ravens could possibly Pick Lamar up later knowing he’d probably still be on the Board lol -Hayden Hurst was salty he wasn’t starting so wanted out. Funny thing is Lamar loves his TE and the Ravens love their TE’s has a back up for them he would have been eating nice. But now look at him.
The Super Bowl just a couple months prior was Eagles vs Patriots. Lamar Jackson in a way altered both of these franchises. Patriots one pick before Jackson went with Sony Michel when they could have got the Heisman winner and had him sit behind Brady for two years thus probably extending their dynasty. The Eagles traded the pick to Baltimore who drafted Jackson in exchange the Eagles flipped that pick into Dallas Goedert, Avonte Maddox and Miles Sanders.

Only half way through and just two busts, with everyone else between great to really good. This might be the best first round class in history! At least the top half. I'll have the check them against 2007's top half of the first.
Talking about kolton miller "average at best pick" "can argue hes a top 10 LT in the game" how is that average? And at the end with sony michel "didnt amount to anything but has 2 rings and scored in the superbowl" 2x superbowl champ who actually scored is amounting to nothing?
Hayden Hurst was actually not a bad TE at all. He was just very unfortunate: he got hurt before his rookie season started, and by the time he was OK, Mark Andrews exploded. When he was on the field, Hurst wasn't bad at all. He just felt he would never be a top TE in Baltimore and so asked for and was granted, a trade. He got to Atlanta... where not many go and flourish, let's be real. We'll never know, but I do think if Hurst didn't get injured right off the bat in his NFL career, he could have become a great starting TE.
In re-drafting the QB's with hindsight - Overall Allen goes #1, Jackson #2, Mayfield goes late 1st round - say about #30, Darnold goes in about the 4th Round at #120, and Rosen goes undrafted!

Well jackson didn't get drafted high because he couldn't throw the ball his 1st 3 years in the league, thats why most teams didn't want him as a quarterback
Baltimore did a GREAT job setting Lamar up and he did a great job complimenting the team. (Similar to Josh Allen). You send either of them to the Jets and we’d be talking about busts right now.
@@josephhollis526 No he wouldn’t. If he was on the Jets, he wouldn’t be who he is because the Jets would have run him into the ground… or are you genuinely saying every QB the jets have ever had are shit.
Lamar was drafted into the right situation. An organization that wants to win. If he went to the Browns or Jets, he'd be out of the league or playing WR right now
Pick #28 Edmunds was with the Eagles this year and traded to the Titans along with two late picks for S Byard. This vid says he along with S Byard got traded to the Eagles. It also says Jackson won multiple MVPs. He won it once unless its assuming he wins it this year. There are some inaccuracies with this vid but it was 100% on its take of Josh Rosen.
The only reason why the Ravens did not get Lamar Jackson in the 25th pic because they did not have no tight end they starting tight end was injured with a broken hip and the other tight end we had went to the Cardinals and the other one had a one year deal.
"The Baltimore Ravens were lucky that all 31 other NFL teams didn't know how to draft. " Disagree. Clearly some of the teams didn't need a quarterback and instead took players that performed well for them. Many became Pro Bowlers and even All-Pros.
The thing with Lamar is he was dog shit his rookie year. Lamar fell because he would have to develop in a way that very very few qbs ever do. If jackson doesn't take the steps he did between his 1/2 2/3 and 3/4 years he's a first round bust. Lamar is not the guy they drafted. He's a polished passer, who can run the offense from the pocket and can use his legs to extend and make plays. the guy in the draft was not an nfl passer, who could beat you with his legs and not kill his team with his arm. Lamar invested in himself, and he's nowhere near the same kid taken in this draft. It's like Purdy. Purdy added like 12-15mph, something INSANE, after he was drafted. if he had that at the combine, he probably goes in the 3rd or 4th just on size and school.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but we don't have that luxury in the present. As we've seen, being outstanding at the college level does not guarantee performance at the NFL level. You do the best research you can, but it's still often a crap shoot

We’ll see how this season ends for Lamar but anything other than a SB win and it very easily is debatable lol.
Lamar is no. 1 and it's not close. Lamar won 2 MVPs with his first one with him leading the league in TD passes despite having a shitty oc in greg roman who didn't know how to design good passing plays. The second one he also deserved with him leading the second-best offense in the league with a rookie as his wr1 and his number 1 target injured. "oH bUt hiS sTaTs weren't gOOd". Gus Edwards scored 13 TDs from the 5 this year, give all those TDs to Lamar and he has 42 total tds which is more than Allen. Mind you Allen's stat padded the whole year and his rb only scored 3 TDs and they weren't from the 5. Lamar would've also had more passing yards because he had more passing yards per attempt than Allen but Allen had way more attempts. Lamar has also had stefon diggs as his wr1 for most of his career. Lamar has a wr2 at best as his wr1 right now. Lamar and Allen aren't really comparable and you'll realize Lamar is so much better if you look a little bit into advanced stats.
@@idk88876 Giving another player’s TDs to him to make up pretend stats lmfao. Dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. On top of it being so beyond stupid, it’s literally wrong cause you could give Lamar all of Gus’ TDs from the 5 and Allen would STILL have more TDs. Don’t know where this absolutely deranged narrative that qb goal line rush TDs don’t count came from but Allen is the best goal line rusher on his team so he gets those snaps while Lamar isn’t the best on his team therefore he doesn’t get those snaps. Allen is the most productive red zone player in the league as well so thinking Lamar could just mimic his running back snap for snap to match Allen’s production is also just objectively wrong. Lastly, Allen has the longest distance for rushing yard TDs through a season by anyone with more than 7. So Allen ran for a longer distance on average for his rushing TDs than both Lamar in his first MVP season and Cam in his MVP year. You’d have to be delusional to think his production can be easily mimicked by giving a player more snaps even though it has 2 separate NFL records involved in it. Also, boasting about Lamar’s receiving core not being the best to make him seem super valuable while ignoring the fact he has the most complete team in the league after the niners is funny af. The fact you got to combine another player on Lamar’s team’s stats with him to present a case for him really speaks volumes to who the actual MVP should’ve been. If you look into any advanced analytic, Allen blows Lamar out the water and the 1 dude who gave Allen the MVP vote made a whole case on this and mfs only response to it was “watch games and get off the calculator” lmao. Keep making stuff up tho, Allen EMBARRASSES Lamar in 90% of both regular and advanced stats.

@@PeoplePleaser578 I don't know how far up your ass you had to travel to come to some of the conclusions that you did but you definitely don't know much about sports, especially concerning Lamar. *Lamar was a running style quarterback in college because he HAD TO BE???* You don't REMOTELY have a freakin' clue who Bobby Petrino is. Petrino NEVER coached a running style quarterback during his entire time as a college head coach. He had to tailor his offense around Lamar because *that was who Lamar was when he arrived on campus.* There are a TON of RUclips videos that show Lamar in high school and RUN is what he did. He didn't have to, that is what he did. That was WHO HE WAS.
Then you claim that work ethic has nothing to do with performance??? *Then WHY the hell do teams bother PRACTICING???* Repetitive actions don't affect performance??? I don't care what line of work you are in but the way you practice *is the way you perform when the lights come on.* Having a strong work ethic means that you will maximize the time you spend PREPARING. The examples that I gave are of men who have more than proven that point, and they have went as far as to say so in the documentaries that have been done on them.. But since you don't know anything about sports, you came in here with that worthless take. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Dude, the next time you decide to do a take on sports, pay someone to give you one because yours sucks.
@@PeoplePleaser578 You don't know what the hell you are talking about.
Saints were suppose to take him to study under Drew for the last two years. But we chose Marcus Davenport :D
That was Ozzie doing Ozzie shit. Even before leaving he kept the franchise moving. Let's Go Flock 💜
The first shall be last and the last first. The number 8 signifies a new beginning.
- In a funny way the Ravens could possibly Pick Lamar up later knowing he’d probably still be on the Board lol
-Hayden Hurst was salty he wasn’t starting so wanted out. Funny thing is Lamar loves his TE and the Ravens love their TE’s has a back up for them he would have been eating nice. But now look at him.
Solid take! Thanks for watching!!
Now do what happened to the 261 players drafted before Brock Purdy lol
IDK how I found your channel but I absolutely love it your attention to details and how you narrate is top tier stuff can’t wait to see you reach a 1m subscribers ❤
Only half way through and just two busts, with everyone else between great to really good. This might be the best first round class in history! At least the top half. I'll have the check them against 2007's top half of the first.
2011 >>>
Yeah Hurst definitely got elite talent.
You should do 9 players before Patrick Mahomes

To laugh at the bears
In re-drafting the QB's with hindsight - Overall Allen goes #1, Jackson #2, Mayfield goes late 1st round - say about #30, Darnold goes in about the 4th Round at #120, and Rosen goes undrafted!
Midget mayfail had no business going 1. I remember months before the draft he was projected as a late first rounder then shot up because the browns took the safe low ceiling guy because they didn’t want to whiff again. And they whiffed hard
Lot of respect for this man
@Alexander-ov9kc I believe in Jesus Christ I encourage you to read the bible
What happened to Lamar in yesterday's AFC Championship - FOH with this!
Idk if people watch college ball but lamar been putting in work going unnotice lamar is a beast against any Florida team
I'll never forgive bill belichick for passing on Lamar TWICE in the dam first round. Absolutely horrible talent evaluation.
Let’s hope Mayo is better at drafting than Belichek.
@catherineadair9078 I think we could make picks with our eyes closed and do better than Bill the last 10 years. Nkeal Harry!!?? Might be the worst player I've seen try to play professional football, 1st round pick.
@@mtgfa12drake mate looking good
As we all know, hindsight is 20/20. 😂
Josh Allen is the best Quarterback of the 2018 NFL Draft. Lamar Jackson is the 2nd best. Their stats, careers and playoff wins and stats prove that.
👎🏿🤣🤡
I think the Bills don't mind also Terrel Edmunds is on the Titans
As a Patriots fan I'm sooooooooooo glad BB is such a great GM and we took Sony "Knees have no cartilage" Michel.
By far one of the best defensive classes man have nothing but beast!
@Alexander-ov9kc thank you for the invite. Be fruitful and multiply brother.
Arguably one of the best draft classes
Kinda rough segment there for Hurst. Yes, he hasn’t been what he planned out to be, but he was consistently playing until his concussion battle which is causing him memory issues
allen top 2 qb in the league
As of October 26th 2024 Lamar is 1 Goff is 2 Allen is 3
This pick by the Steelers still infuriates. And I blame a combination of Tomlin and Big Ben.
Thank you for how you broke this down!!
You should take 3/4 of these dummies on network sport shows!!
Great breakdown!!!
That means a lot, Thank you Dennis!! I hope you stay (sub) for more of what’s to come!
Crazy that he fell that much.
Yeah who would guess a running back masquerading as a quarterback would fall in the draft
@@brandonneumann5294 He's a RB but he led the league in TD passes one season, was top 5 in all accuracy stats, and is tied for number 1 all-time in perfect passer rating games while also being top 5 in y/a career-wise. All this info took me only a minute to find to disprove this stupid rb narrative so I suggest instead of hating, get a life and touch some grass.
The fact that three of these players were at one time Carolina Panthers but are not anymore is wild
Well jackson didn't get drafted high because he couldn't throw the ball his 1st 3 years in the league, thats why most teams didn't want him as a quarterback
2018 draft had alot of all pro caliber players especially on defense
Baltimore did a GREAT job setting Lamar up and he did a great job complimenting the team. (Similar to Josh Allen).
You send either of them to the Jets and we’d be talking about busts right now.
No QB could have succeeded in the Jets, I do feel bad for Sam - He basically got shafted by them.
@@josephhollis526 No he wouldn’t. If he was on the Jets, he wouldn’t be who he is because the Jets would have run him into the ground… or are you genuinely saying every QB the jets have ever had are shit.
Josh Allen is too physical gifted to be a bust. He put the team on his back
Lamar was drafted into the right situation. An organization that wants to win. If he went to the Browns or Jets, he'd be out of the league or playing WR right now
just a small correction, Terrell Edmunds was traded to the titans in the deal with byard, he’s a backup for TN now
New to football and I love watching Lamar, he’s a freak
Pick #28 Edmunds was with the Eagles this year and traded to the Titans along with two late picks for S Byard. This vid says he along with S Byard got traded to the Eagles. It also says Jackson won multiple MVPs. He won it once unless its assuming he wins it this year. There are some inaccuracies with this vid but it was 100% on its take of Josh Rosen.
You could do a video for Brock Purdy...but itd probably could be hours long.
If this was a standalone team, they would be very good.
Damn what a draft class
I think Lamar would go number two with Allen at 1 now
Draft class was stacked
Badass draft class of 2018 🎉 Many good or elite players
if u want to win regular season games pick jacksooon if u want to win post season baker or allen
That’s funny none of them sniffed a super bowl
12:31 Edmunds is actually on the Titans right now, traded from the Eagles in the Byard trade
wow this one of the best if not the best first round draft class in a long that i can think of, full of pro bowlers
Facts
Absolutely nutty class.
Quenton Nelson was the moment I realized that this draft is insane
Man this draft was crazy good
Lamar Jackson is 6-3, Baker Mayfield is 6-ft, but they said Lamar Jackson is too small. Imagine that!
6’2 and 6’1 listed heights but ones a great scrambler and Lamar did look skinny as hell
Goated draft tbh
The only reason why the Ravens did not get Lamar Jackson in the 25th pic because they did not have no tight end they starting tight end was injured with a broken hip and the other tight end we had went to the Cardinals and the other one had a one year deal.
9 sacks rookie year benched the next year is crazy like what did you do
"The Baltimore Ravens were lucky that all 31 other NFL teams didn't know how to draft. "
Disagree. Clearly some of the teams didn't need a quarterback and instead took players that performed well for them. Many became Pro Bowlers and even All-Pros.
What about all the players drafted before Brock Purdy?
Lamar said they're going to get a SuperBowl out of me, now's the time
Unfinished business
Guess it's going to stay Unfinished huh!?
Imagine if the Patriots picked Lamar and he became the successor to Brady
That 32nd pick belonged to the Eagles as they just won the SB, loved that draft, Eagles didn't have a care in the world lol
Ridley is a stud. It wasn’t gambling, look deeper.
FACTS.
I knew he was better than Darnold and Mayfield but of course my Jets would select Darnold
The pain.
now do video on what happened to the 261 players drafted before Brock Purdy.
Would you watch to the end? lol
The Lamar vs Allen debate for no. 1 overall in a redraft would be spicy
No debate Lamar is no.1
@@henben4746 Allen got every single conceivable stat except for rushing yards per carry and rushing yards per game over Lamar, in both the playoffs and the regular season season. Plus in alot of those categories, Allen dwarfs and it isn’t even close. Lamar has the accolades though and now they both have 1 AFCCG appearance with Lamar potentially going all the way.

Lamar was the best college qb I’ve ever witnessed. Won the heisman at 19. Ran a 4.3 with a cannon for an arm. How does he slip that far?
tom brady was selected 199th over all in the 8th round. there were 8 other qbs selected before him. the only one I had ever heard of before was chad penmington, first round, played for the jets
Haven’t watched the NFL too much lately but I’m glad the Steelers I used to enjoy watching passed on him at 25 in favor of a 38 yr old Big Ben

@@JCOH-TVdon't think it's time, more the system ran by the ravens. It has never been a pass priority offense and that is whats needed to win multiple chips over a relatively short span. I think his talent level and the team they have built around him, gets him 2, possibly 3
