Hi Zippo Fanatic 77 outdoors, to solve an overbite case, I did this: I removed the insert, I closed the zippo case, then with my right hand, I tightly squeezed the lower part of the case, and with the thumb of the left hand, I pushed in the opposite direction to the overbite.
Hey Giovanni!! Yes that does work too but by forcing the rings like that u are opening them a tiny little bit. And your lid is loose. I do it like this for the ring tightening. Just fix the over bite while I’m tightening rings really. How’s everything buds
Haha yeah has only happened to me once on a Niagara Falls zippo. Still havent sent it in for repair. Thinking about just replacing the hinge because I have spares. Making a video this time with solder instead of jb weld. I have the good stuff
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors i saw that . I mean on the hinge side. The lid is not 100% in the Center. So i have an under and overbite on the Front and back . Only on the hinge side .
@@daniel2018 oh haha. U banged her good. Ur gonna have to push that lid forward then. If that doesnt work u can take the pin out and re align all the rings.
@@daniel2018 haha that’s what I love to hear !! Because every time u need to make an adjustment u can make it urself and your zippo experience is that much more better. It’s like working on your own car.
Hope everyone finds this useful is was heavily requested. Lots of slim users out there !
Very useful video. Thanks for posting it.
@@terrytravelstheuniverse1967 no problem! Thanks for the support Terry !
Great vid bro. Thanks. Love my slim. Didn't wanna send it in ,rather fix it myself. Awesome that you use grandfather's tools.
Thanks man !! Please be gentle ! I wouldn’t want u to snap the little rings.

@@Zippofanatic77outdoors You are right a thousand times, in fact, after having corrected the overbite, I had to tighten with pliers.
@@giovanniabazia4394 that’s why I just bust out the needle nose. Gonna need it anyways.
I learned through trial and error, and ended up sending a few in to bradford for repair before I figured out how to get a slim hinge right lol
