I adjust it by taking the limiter ring out, adjust the flame to the highest setting I want, then put the ring back in at the max spot

How does a person fix a button that goes down to far? When I press the button it shuts the fuel flow off. You can hear it killing the flow

Is they upgraded and perfected the thunderbird inserts they would be far away the best, but of the zippo ones it’s only the yellow flame that’s for me now.

So I did try 91 percent isopropyl rubbing alcohol and I noticed that the flame is a light blue color and seems to burn a lot colder than zippo fluid does. It also seems to have a problem igniting sometimes but that could very well be due to the fact that I need a new flint soon

I love my Zippo, I should buy a new one, the one I have is from the 90s and the lid/top is very lose, probably from 30 years of doing No 1. I just bought my first zippo, after watching many of your videos, its cool but i realised that when the lid is closed i can smell the fuel from hinges, only if i get hinges part really close to my nose,its a brand new zippo, hinges also seems tight to me, is it just me or all zippo has same issue, where from hinges it gets mosty evorapate/smell.

Zippo, IMCO, Zorro, Douglass and trench lighters are worthy to have, any EDC mean to make fire with style, fire is the first beast man domesticated and without it we would still be in the caves, it accompanied us throughout our history and our passage through the stone age, ages of metals and steam and even today it is one of the pillars of our civilization and will be with us when we reach the stars.(sorry if my english is broken).

Talk about perfect timing man,got a new golden insert for my brass edc yesterday and it was just driving me nuts,i squeezed the case but i never thought about just widening the insert 😅

The tape on the front of the insert is the best explanation of placement. I was already using the painters tape from a live stream you were discussing it. But putting it on the front makes more sense. Switching over now !

I have been using a zippo for 50 years did not know there is a cult out there for them.. Good to see! For some reason my old zippo from the 70's will not light, sparks and is full, maybe the wheel on this one is getting worn down and not a big enough spark ? Came looking for repair help and found your vid. I agree do NOT use your collector type or special to you zippo for everyday use and do not throw it in your purse either to get scratched up.
