Im buying this machine after chinese new year because xhorse pad plus also coming to my local locksmith supplier after chinese new year. Xhorse OBD looks like can do almost any automotive locksmith job when pairing with this xp-005.
Great review. I watched a couple other videos about this machine, and the one feature I really wanted to see after watching it cut was the automatic decoding process, so I appreciate you throwing that into the test as well. That photo-mode decoder functionality would be a dream for pen-testers. Grab a quick snap of a key, run out to the car, then use your battery powered automatic cutter to replicate the original.
Thank you for these videos Dr lock I appreciate your hardware reviews the most. Please update your best programmers video. Go in depth on buying a cheap programmer today that will be reliable and the struggles of buying a CK100 that actually works. I think it could use an update with some of the great machines out now a days like the autel. And cheap autek etc. Edit: And the same style(format) of videos done for the programmers, instead done with key cuttings machines. Even vs the old blitz (given how much you can actually get done with it) and cost of course
Hi Dr lock, can I ask do you always have to use the data base to duplicate a key....I mean can you just place a key and will the machine just copy it eg mercedes HU64, any chance you can do a demo on this type, thanks for the brilliant vids
I use the hell out of the Dalphin and I cut double sided keys all the time and had now problems doing it and it works perfectly cutting all double sided keys
Good info,, how do the cutters handle, do you use many? keep posting as its good to share the good and the bad, I was against using it for side cutting single-sided keys, but maybe I was wrong
@@DrLockShop I have had it for almost 2 years and I only used 2 cutters and one of them broke because the aftermarket key was so hard it caused the cutter to snap even my HPC cutter had a hard time cutting it but other than that that little 1.5 cutter has worked perfectly
@@maszsanchez720 Hi all, i have that machine. If you could extract the key cutting code form the VIN number, yes you can obtain the key pitting numbers and cut the key by hitting the all key lost tab in the application then choose the car brand and model, then write the key cutting code and hit Query, the App will decode that code and give you the pitting numbers and the key shape then you can cut the key.
Hey there can you help me out. When you got your machine it came with a red locking safety bar. Its bolted from the top to the bottom. Ok so you know it. Do you have to fit it everytime before driving
@@pouncerminned863 Easy solution. Turn it upside down and drill through thin plate of steel into legs. use thread tap and then after screw a bolt in. Do that on four legs. Turn to stand position and drill holes opposite direction through plate allowing for screws down into the bench.
Having ability to move it makes sense. So use screws into bench and counter sunk m6 screws up into legs. metal galvanised l brackets from Home Depot store. Flatten l bracket and use that.
hello doctor, does this machine make car keys when there is no key to copy? what machine do you recommend to cut car keys when you don't have a key to copy?
@@DrLockShop great, could you tell me if there are other machines from other companies that also make keys when you have the key and just the code, I can't buy one of these now I need one at a lower price or even used! can tell me ?
Yes if you have the Jaws, but I would not do it, its just wrong and will use up your cutters.. see link for the Jaws you need www.xhorsevvdi.com/wholesale/condor-mini-m4-clamp.html
@Dr Lock I've got the M4 clamp. It won't take a space & depth card with more than ~6 depths total. And a (405 card) Lockwood cut deeper than ~7 (i think) is not allowed by the machine, as it would cut into the jaw. I think this jaw was made for older model cars that took things like GM9 etc, single-sided. It might operate under "Universal Duplication" but I haven't tried on the smaller keys like LF31R.
@@lockmanmd8738 I wouldn't buy one, with the current offerings on the market. If you need automotive keys, just get a Dolphin. If you need residential and restricted, absolutely worth investing in a Ninja or Futura. If it's workshop based, consider the higher tiers. SEC9 didn't seem to hold up to rigors of time and maintenance, with some weird warranty and spare parts stories going around.

One man's opinion. There is nothing wrong with cutting vast amounts of keys with that machine. Everything else is overpriced so there really is NO comparison at all. Just so you know. This update kit for this machine has a trojan in it. Id use a shitty old laptop to update that you don't care about. Its a currency miner. Not cool xhorse Edit:Dr lock i wanted to share a good moment with you. I went ahead and ordered one of these machines to give it a go. As you were just speaking of a pack in brush. Receiving the machine and revealing my oem condor paintbrush was a good chuckle. Sometimes its the little things
Good tracing machine also easy to decode by photo and cut to code does it’s own thing with hu66 keys I find when cutting to code or decode.traces keys fine in m2 a n b shit in clamps m2 c like to snap the trace I’ve gone over 1200 keys with mine 70% traced 29% cut to code Ime go a get the futura and keep this as a tracing machine as the futura is way better for cutting to code
