This restaurant became famous because of Chef Vikas Khanna. He is one of the most renowned chefs across India. and has cooked for the POTUS and for the Indian Prime Minister as well. He is originally from Amritsar.
I don't think he works there anymore and he isn't the owner I believe, that's what it says on the website, he was there from the beginning and the restaurant earned Michelin Star because of him but he doesn't works there anymore.
Chef Chintan Pandya of Dhamaka was also the executive chef of Junoon during 2017 and later started his new restaurant again, Ruhi. You can see the his influence in creating/finalizing Eggplant chaat, similar to what he came with up at his first restaurant, Dhamaka. He's the chef that worked with and impressed Gordon Ramsay during Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon is one of the people that supported Khanna's rise to a michelin star Indian chef.

@@arizonad8012 I've been visiting French Michelin Star restaurants and French American and since I was little in the 1960s and 1970s. My parents loved taking us to gourmet restaurants. At the most we would have a drink, appetizer, entree -which sometimes came with vegetables and or a salad, and a dessert. But sometimes we just ordered an entree and dessert or maybe just an entree with our drinks. The entrees were never huge and the appetizer and desserts were even smaller. The idea was to taste new flavors of food we ordinarily would not have at home. I've never been to an Indian Restaurant that ha a Michelin star however.

Dude Michelin star restaurants are also rated in recipe creativity. You cant just stick in some street food for it. I'm sure anyone eating Caviar Panipuri, doesnt expect Caviar to be Indian.

Obviously you can, avoid 5 star hotels like most of us😂 There are hundreds types of Indian street food and budget friendly hotels available in America...
This is not typical Indian food. It is alot of fusion (mix of Indian and other) food. Try the straight Indian food before doing fusion. You will understand and appreciate it more.
The Michelin star you mentioned is Chef Vikas khanna who also cooked at white House and he is originally from Amritsar India . We indians are proud of him.
Chef Vikas Khanna is a gem , master of fusion culinary . Met him once in Dubai Junoon years back and then also Eggplant chat was their highlight .Zombie from the cocktail , mutton kebab and desert made out of beetroot was yum .
@@shamikas5443 Not sure of the brand owner but Junoon Dubai was started in 2015 and Vikas Khanna was the chef there . He used to cook for the guests twice a month then and it was a good experience altogether.

I loved this video as I always prefer fine dine. Such a beautiful restaurant. I must visit it. Fine dines are not extremely spicy ,but have fantastic balance in the flavours. That's what I like....less chillies, classy flavours.

I love and respect the fact that that indian restaurant really represented almost all of India cooking styles to the courses, idk but seeing the food being presented with the wood plat reminded me from the north east really blew my mind cause the nagas really use wooden plat with high elevation support
