YES NAT YES. PREACH. Acquiring a job, whether it be an internship or a full time job, really does require all the work and steps that Natalie talks about in this whole video. You also want to apply to as many jobs as possible. That will give you more possibilities, even if you don't actually hear back. Another thing to consider is a portfolio (which Nat has videos on). If you have that visual aid vs just a resume, it'll more likely catch a hiring managers attention than if you just submitted a resume. At the end if the day you just have to keep finding ways to work on your professional development both before and when you get a job.

not gonna lie, it has been really difficult this semester to make plans for next year. covid has been a huge blocker in our abilities to land a job right now, and it's depressing to think about, even though we "do all the right things".. i've made spreadsheets, personalized letters, follow up emails, etc.
I agree... I actually don't know really what to do. I've done these good things for over a year now and I've had nothing but one interview where I just got jutted out by someone who was way over qualified... for a 6 month job contract. Ugh.

so I am already a licensed architect and have been working in UAE in exhibitions and contracting company for 3 years now. I am planning to work in the US and wondering how will I start my career there. in order to get my license there this would mean I would go work first as an architectural intern right? Thanks nat! ☺️
