@sjfk1306 It doesn't matter even if he was driving like that, there's a reason you need to have proof of a crime. Cops can't and shouldn't just arrest people with 0 specific evidence. It's the same reason why you aren't in jail for racketeering right now because I said you did.

I've had a cop pull me over for at a stop light while in park reaching down to grab a rag to stop the massive amount of bleeding from a cut on my hand. I was on my way to get it stitched up and he pulled me over wrote me up for a seat belt violation, and supposedly doing 60 in a 40 when I had just gotten off the freeway and was currently on a road that was 55mph I was never on the street he claimed in the ticket I was on. Then lied in court but my dash cam saved me
Leaving people on the side of the road with ambiguity about their right to leave after taking their licenses is false imprisonment.
I don’t know about false imprisonment, but a traffic stop is supposed to be completed within a reasonable time period. They probably could’ve sued because they were stuck there against their will.
That story is also a false made up wet dream that Bubba has experienced while cuddled up in his little hard plastic red corvette bed!!! 🤣

I was leading a pack of supercars and slowed them down for a speed trap ... we all drove past the cop and he was so mad we were not speeding he passed us and set up another speed trap ahead, and did it 3 more times on our drive down that highway.

@@albundy5992 The US does traffic enforcement wrong. We should not focus on speed, but on manners. Don't left lane camp, don't cut people off, use your turn signals, don't drive erratically, when the light goes green go, turn your headlights on at dusk, pay attention, etc.

That first cop sounds like he shouldn’t be a cop. He sounds like he was a high school bully that wanted to keep it up.
The only person from my childhood who became a cop was probably one of the biggest assholes I've ever known. He was funny about it... Sometimes. But this is a guy who borrowed his neighbor's brand new lawnmower without asking, mowed over dirt and rocks with it, pretty much destroyed it then put it back and never told the kid who was home what they did. He also used his brother's razor to shave his butt crack and put it back afterward.
And now he's a small town cop. Probably ready to pull over any loud flashy out-of-towners and issue them tickets for not being Catholic enough or something (I grew up in a weird place)

Great thing is they don't really care about speed unless you're going 100mph or more in a 65. I cruise at 80mph and so does everyone else on i-45, when it's a 65mph zone lol

unless a cop witnesses you acting up, they can't do shit. If they arrest you and didn't see you commit the crime, you will be freed and can sue. He was trying to get you to confess so he could use that as evidence. I would have called 911 when he illegally took off with my DL. He had no right to do that as probable cause was no longer valid. ( he saw the group that was speeding )
I remember when I got pulled over with my dad (he’s a older guy who doesn’t drive spirited enough to get pulled over but I do) he was very nervous we were on the blue ridge parkway he was in his 64 vette I was in my challenger hellcat and he almost had a panic attack the officer basically said I’m just giving you 1 ticket get him calmed down he might have a heart attack and left

Dash cams go both ways. It can prove your innocence, or prove your guilt. He admitted they had been speeding/driving "spirited" in both instances, so even though they weren't doing anything wrong when they were pulled over, the video would still incriminate them.

Happy everything went well, but it sounds like there should be more training for law enforcement, so that they don't think they are pulling everyone over when they are at the back of the group. That doesn't even make logical sense, since there is no way the front can know about it. Also, how can they think it's a bunch of street racers / race cars are evading the police when they go 25-35 through small towns. Seems pretty over the top, and shows a severe lack of common sense

REALLY like the idea of the charity donation. However, apparently I, and several, several, several of my peers would apparently not be partaking in an event such as that. You see there's an issue with that, while we are of the same mind and DO go to these events with the same drivers mindset, I and few others are post 50 and the rest are post 40's, we don't do stickers or vinyl on our cars. Those things aren't too terribly nice with ceramic coatings when they are removed.
Like the idea of the charity, don't like the idea of how it's acknowledged. Gives me something to work with though for our group. Keep up the good work man

That First story if the other group of cars did not by he would have taken then all to jain on what charge? With what witness? Total overreach! And what does the cop think? They all have warrants or drugs on them? Maybe just easy money for the town.

And they was using up all kinds of Cop equipment that they had hanging around the police officer's station. They was taking plaster tire tracks, foot prints, dog smelling prints, and They took twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against us.
