WHAT IS VERBAL APRAXIA?!?! | FOR TEACHERS + EDUCATORS

hellooo! This video is intended to educate teachers about what Verbal Apraxia is (otherwise known as Childhood Apraxia of Speech). I cover topics about what it looks like in the child, how they are in higher risk at getting bullied, what to do during an Apraxia "meltdown", and other factors. I hope you guys enjoy this video!

It's more important to listen to *what* someone is saying and let them be heard rather than whaf the speech and individual words sounds like.

Thank you for sharing. I have a grandson with Apraxia. I was also a SPED para for over 20 years. Great info for teachers and parents as well. Our Kid is doing well at this point. He was diagnosed early and has been in speech therapy for several years. I totally agree that the more understanding and support you have the better things are. I have told our Kid from the start - everyone is different, everyone has challenges and MOST IMPORTANT EVERYONE has Gifts.
