I know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid lost the password. I love any tips you can give me.
Hi I am an artist and I am looking to sell my art on Shopify an printify I want to creat a brand with my art can you help me with that and what is the price for that to start ??
I am a recording artist & a fine artist & I feel the biggest obstacle many of the most talented artists face is lack of confidence.
Pay for a communication course im sure it Will help
I lack so much confidence I’m my biggest hater
I have no confidence and where did you get your fine arts?
@@Brandonhayhewi dont understand the question. I rap & paint canvases mostly.
Keep trying and you will reach your destination!
My whole life I’ve done pencil on paper art. Now I wanna try and branch out to digital art and sell my art online
Try it you won't regret it at all!
Go for it. Only advice I can give you about it: you'll be disappointed for a few weeks until you catch up, but it's very pleasant when you get used to how digital art works (its differences from traditional art)
Im in the same boat. Trying to branch out from traditional painting. Hope the learning curve isnt too bad
All the best for your art exploration!
That’s sound amazing you can do it !
When you love the art you make you will find the right people to support😍 🌹🌹discourage
It not a perfect journey but a working journey
"I'll do it when I'm good enough"
This stupid idea took me years of my life for nothing ! >_<
Didn't help me at all to get better, made me stay in a sort of comfort zone, so I didn't even draw what I really want to draw. Add to that no one recognize you or tells you that yes, now you are good enough and bam = big lack of self-comfidence and low self-esteem...
Yay ! Be creative with that xD
I'm trying to grow an audience for 5 years now, and for now I'm still failing...
What a journey seriously.... *facepalm*
I can totally relate to you it soo hard though its been my dream to be able to sell and show my art to make art as a full time career but it is just soo frustrating and sad when you have low following and not only that no one commission me to the point i feel like my art isn't good enough and i need just stop for awhile continue when im good enough its been almost a year up until now I've been learnig anatomy and all but i still feel like my art isn't good enough yeah the result of all that is lack of confidence and self esteem i feel you but wishing you the best
Where do you post your art and what's your handle? Also should I really just start? What if I'm actually just not good enough yet. I've been drawing seriously for like a year and I can barely make something that's pretty good for a beginner. I wanna just have to confidence but I really don't think I'm good enough yet.
I’ve been stuck in that mindset for a couple of years. Still can’t tell if my art’s “good enough” to sell but I really want to just start and see where it takes me
My advice is try twitter to build your audience. And then partake in random fandoms with fan art and you’ll easily rack in some likes and followers! Include the right hashtags and boom you’re set. I’m just starting out recently on twitter and barely ever got likes until I started drawing fan art. That’s probably the easiest way to attract people haha and it def works!
"Just get started" is so true. Really the motion that you create by just taking that first step, "not wait"ing for affirmation, but just taking yourself seriously(that is self-love, by the way) and so... all around, take her advice people! Just do it!!!
the leap of faith is scary.
Mom has being trying to tell me this for some years now... Still not good enough 😅
Mom has being trying to tell me this for some years now... Still not good enough 😅
@@somethingbambi875 What do you think?
Dont wait too long. You will regret it and feel overun by time. We really dont have as much time as we think.
I like that your shirt says hustle while you teach us the art hustle lol
This topic is SO needed! I have so many artist friends who have no idea how to handle marketing and sales.
I know all those feelings that you explained. Mindset and Action are so important in getting out there! I so appreciate this video, Janet!
Finally a video that is really mentioning specific pages. Specific information and is realistic and on point !!!! This is how I would help someone I really want to succeed!
I’ve been toying with the idea of selling my paintings (acrylic on canvas) on beanies and shirts and stuff. I’ve got to brand myself and figure out what the heck I’m doing. Thanks for all your wonderful help! Very inspiring!
I'm hoping to be an independent author and my wife is working on being a fine artists. Just jumping in is so horribly daunting but honestly it's probably what we need to do
Good luck I hope you succeed!
Did yall start? I hope so. ❤️
Wow, hearing you share your limiting beliefs was really powerful. Good for you for moving past those mindset blocks!!
Her first step had it all !! 'just get started ' is all most of us needed here it actually motivates and though we already know it but this still felt like this idea got up just now in the head !
I think this is the most simple game plan I've heard so far. Thank you so much this was easy to follow and understand.
My god this is the video that I needed to get started. That’s it I’m gonna go ahead and sell my artwork!!!! THANK YOU!
Thank you for making a serious and informative video that doesn't rely on a "DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE / DONT DO THESE 3 THINGS!!!" type of title.
This is soo so helpful 😭 I always doubt myself and I had that exact thought of selling when I get better. I'm just gunna go for it.
Finally!!! I have watched video after video about how to print my artwork, cause I’m selling my originals.Ugh I want to keep those and sell prints. Your tutorial was and is the best out there it covers everything any artist needs to know, I was going to buy a 2000.00 dollars printer, make my own frames. You have saved me a ton of money,YOUR THE BEST.!!
Acrylic pouring art work! Thank you for the encouragement and tips!
Her words are so true for so many sensitive artist.
Just subscribed Janet. Thanks so much for all the great advice! I work in ceramic clay and usually keep my projects small, but will go bigger for when I can either transport them myself or afford the shipping. 😊 Thanks again.💚
Appreciate the tips on getting started...this was EXACTLY what I needed to know! 😀
Wow I just found your channel in the best moment! I completely identify with this validation issue from others but really want to try doing my shop with the skills I currently have, thanks for sharing your invaluable experiences I will for sure do a marathon of all the videos and of course see your art which looks so lovelyyy 💕✨🤩
Thank you for this info.
Been making hats, hoodies, coffee cups and doing fluid art background with my printed work on top of it. It's not easy, but so satisfying.
I love to knit, crochet, sew, and just work with so many different ideas and garments. I love the work I do but just get so self conscious and almost put myself down about my creations. I look at every single mistake and think about how no one would ever buy it... even with all that, this video has me more intimidated and excited at the same time. I keep telling myself “we all start somewhere” and push myself through those tough thoughts. Idk kinda just sharing my experience as someone starting out lol
You're amazing. Thank you so much for making this video and for your time and effort in helping artists. I have SUCH bad imposter syndrome, so thank you for encouraging me to start selling my work now.
This video found me and may have just changed my life. Thank you again thank you
Not feeling good enough stopped me in my track for years ! You just have to love yourself, your work, & just do it!
Thank you for sharing your tips. It can be overwhelming when you're just getting started. I am going to make it easy to get things done while I create art for my art buyers. :)
Great advice, information for online vendors etc. thanks!
Great tips you have given, thank you so much 💕
Thank you for the info. I am always looking for new info to expand.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I will add one for you: if you are sending smaller flat art pieces (like pen and ink) a super cheap way to back your art is go to the dollar store, and pick up some foam board. I cut it down with an exacto so I can usually get about 4 pieces per board, which costs a dollar, this can easily be slipped inside a clear bags, bag and is a very lightweight way to back art for shipping. I also generally paste a label on the back of the board, and put a business card in there as well. Also so I don't have to keep filling out the address, I had a custom stamp made with my address and logo, which I stamp on the outer packages. All the art aside... I spotted a KITTY! :)
I sold 4 of my painting at a speech I did for the elderly services of Florida in Tampa a few years ago
My sister is a tattoo artist but has some AMAZING art, I will send this along to her as a potential way to have a side hustle!
I would like to sell stickers, charms, and prints of my art. I would really love to sell my work!
SO helpful! Thank you!
I Love how the beginning of the video is basically every artist on this planet
''I'll start when I'm good enough''
I have been in the "business" for a bit and I think I can honestly say that if a person followed your program, they can and most likely will be successful in selling their art. What most folks that I deal with lack in life is a program. Folks like to say things like "It's not a silver bullet but..." in other words they set themselves out to fail regardless of anything they claim to want to do. Your program is as good as any as long as folks follow it. Nice work! And, I haven't finished viewing because you asked for a comment and here it is. I am sure the your video gets even better as we go.
Thank you for encouraging me❤️
Great video. You make excellent points! I know I am good enough to make art and sell it. Time to act now! Thank you for the proverbial kick up the backside!
Great video and Info! This helped a lot. Thank you😘
I wish i saw this when i first started. This has a lot of good information
I never thought I was good enough to sell my art until I was told my first piece was a good price at $50 and to me that felt amazing
That's what I did 2 days ago and it's mind blowing!!!!
Where you sell your art at?
Where do you sell it at? I don’t know where to sell mine?
I still don't feel comfertable enough to show my art, but as a teen we made paintings om a camp and an actoress (Swedish) was there and she wanted to buy One of My paintings, but that one was for a friend, would have been cool to sell it to an acteress, but only hearing that make me confident is some way 😁 Or maybe she just was really nice.
I accidentally sold a piece of art for 50 dollars as well, showed it to a friend and they asked to buy it was in total shock…
This is brilliant. Thank you so much. I really appreciate you sharing.
your cat is adorable in the background :) and thank you so much, you have such a positive inspiring energy!!!!
Thank you so much for this! It helped me alot!
Crazy helpful thank you!
Thank you for making this video, and love the saying dare to dream.
This was super helpful. Thank you so much! 🥰
This was so wonderland helpful. Thank you!
Love your video, just get started, it is a good mindset. I also love you kitty 🐱
Great advice.
Thanks
This is super helpful. I appreciate it!😀
oof the thing about waiting to be good enough hit home. I feel like I’m sort of good enough but I kept waiting for some kind of validation before I started selling my art lol. This convinced me to go ahead and try, thank you!
sometimes I wonder if anyone ever feels good enough. I know I don't, and I have sold quite a few. People just seeing my work (I have no online presence). One, a pencil drawing of 18x24, went for $1200. I was super excited about that. The other issue is when you just can't let go of your work. My sister, a brilliant artist, who is way more talented than I just couldn't part with anything. I bought one from her (a horse painting that I swear you felt you could reach out and pet), but she asked for it back! Her house is full of amazing art and is essentially an art museum.
I am a photographer and dry pastel artist, specializing in botanicals. Thank you for this video, great tips!

Cool - Just Found Your Channel, Looks like a lot of fun and informative videos on art/art business. I have been an artist for a looooooooonnnnnnng time and recently over the past few months have been moving onto RUclips and exploring youtube as a potential platform for expanding my business model as an artist. Im definitely interested in understanding youtube as a platform for artists - Seems you have a few videos on this topic - will be digging in - Cheers.
great video! THANKU!
Thank you very much for the video...Many times I was close to giving up with online sales..The only reason I didn't is because of person to person sells..Its like if you see my art physically in person ,the more the want it...Honestly I haven't sold anything online 🙁But I won't give up and everyone who struggles like me shouldn't either. I have a dream of creating a Art Garden for Amateur Artist to display their work to the public by letting them walk through the grassy Art Garden for free .I believe beautiful Art should be Affordable for All to Enjoy.
Thank you very much for all these informations ❤❤❤
Clear, concise and VERY motivating. If you have read The $100 Startup and Side Hustle, this brings it all to life. Thank you for an excellent presentation.. and best wishes.
