- A song from the cancelled Batman the Musical. The Musical was to be produced by Warner Bros Theater Ventures, and be an adaption of the first two movies with the same cast [excluding the Penguin]. I'm very disappointed, the songs were absolutely brilliant. Hopefully if the Spiderman Musical does well, DC will bring back the project to compete with it.
About the song: Originally writen for the Batman musical, this song would later appear in Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell 3: The Monster is Loose. This song was to be originally sung by the corrupt officials who run Gotham. Видеоклипы
If there was a Batman musical made today, this song would DEFINITELY be the theme song for the Court of Owls.
The next Batman movie could play this!
Professor Pyg
I always thought it was a song of someone that’s mocking their oppressor so like Riddler or Ventriloquist or maybe even Joker.
This was used as the opening of act two in the Bat Out of Hell musical. An amazing way to open the second act!
Yes, it is.
Similar in the Meatloaf Musical. Same song. Great opening.
Its a meatloaf song
I know the musical was written before the character but I can't help but think of Professor Pyg as singing this song
Well that's a nightmarish image I both didn't know I needed, and desperately didn't need.
@@Pyre You're welcome
Meat Loaf could’ve been Professor Pyg
@@kross2659 Yes! He's perfect for the role
If they went through with the Muscal, they should have had Mr Freeze singing "Ice Ice Baby"
It's actually being used now in a new musical, one of the best songs in the show!
Claire's Space Let me guess, "Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical"?
I know that, technically, the Court of Owls showed up long after this song was written, I think that this song would work for them as it would the corrupt city leaders of Gotham.
If there was a musical based on Batman's current mythos, this would be the theme of The Court of Owls
That moment when you are head banging to a Broadway musical.....
A Broadway musical that got canceled.
This song's in "Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell The Musical" now. And it's really very good.
Mega-Buster Shepard completely agree!! seen it three times and it's bloody amazing!!!
... Because it's that good.
"If the Spider-Man Musical does well..."
Oh, god xDxD
...oh, I get it. Like "Animal Farm".
This was arguably the best song on the Bat out of hell 3 album by the late great Meat Loaf IMO.
“Hopefully of the Spider-Man musical does well,”
Oh boy is this video old
Meatloaf would play a perfect Professor Pyg in my opinion.
I prefer Robert Evan's singing, but Meat Loaf's Orchestrations
…I gotta say, I vastly prefer the version on “Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose.” It feels a lot better to me.
I love the pig noises at the end.
man this song is really amazing holy crap I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you imagine this if the musical was released 10 years ago with Meatloaf and Steinman?!!!?
20 years, it was developed in the late 1990s/2000s
Probably because Batman isn't exactly the type of person you expect to see in a musical.
you know talking about Musicals MarioMan19 I feel that Batman should be given the musical theatre treatment that Broadway and the West End deserves as this is something that musical theatre needs the most for the right reasons I do believe that Warner Bros Discovery could learn something from that of the Warner Bros Theatre Ventures which means they will have to include something that should be produced for the stage for many years to come
This one is one of our favorites from the demos.
On our podcast, we covered how this musical could've been made and featured an excerpt of this song, as well as included this video on our playlist so our listeners can hear the full song on your channel. Here's our podcast ep: ruclips.net/video/5aeLVSOAAdE/видео.html
Based on what I know about Batvillains and their motivations, this is more than likely a Mister Zsasz song.
This is AMAZING! Certainly my favorite from this musical. Shame it got canceled. Does anyone know the details on the Musical such as what the story was and so on? I would have payed good money to see this over and over! Oh well. Maybe someday.
I love this song. It's catchy, it's dark and it f-ing rocks!
Wow 2 years?? I didn't even notice the date until you pointed it out!
I might actually like this better than the version on the album. Bat 3 is just a bit overproduced, and some of the decisions made on it are highly questionable.
Cause this is not over produced at all :p
MarioMan, you're talking about an industry that released Carrie: The Musical. ... Twice!
The second time was good
This is a GD earworm!
Batman: You must hate me
Terry: Come on it's your Birthday
Batman: Don't remind me
PyroGothNerd Oh hey, it's you!
I like this song and graveyard shift. A batman musical could work. Once you get into the mode and accept it coming, you can pretty much accept anything as a musical.
The other songs though are kinda weak, especially the Joker's(this should have been the joker's)
sounds evil
Nooo!!! They cancelled it, because Dance of the Vampires was not a success on broad way, and they feard, that this musical won't be a success too
The 60's called to phone in their vocal disagreement with your points of view. ;).
Street crime was going to happen anyway, but with this...
This sounds like Rob Evan!
No it doesn't
IT IS Rob Evan 🥺
I love this man's voice
Au contraire. Maybe not the happy cheerful bouncy musical type, but a dark operatic style definitely
Love this version but miss the piggy video from meatloaf any ideas where I can find it
Feels very Le Mis.
I'm going to assume it's the Joker singing this song along with Harley Quinn? Amazing :)
I thought it was pyg...
+battenfelder It's in the description: It's actually the corrupt officials who run Gotham that sings it. :)
I think it's Max Shreck primarily he's supposed to be in the musical as well
Well they did it to spiderman
Prefer this to Meatloaf's version.
Anyone know what the the plot would of been
Neither is Spider-man but they made it anyway.
@MarioMan19 you know, like spider-man!
It was canceled because of Batman Begins being released.
The two top comments contradict each other XD
Is Rob Evan singing?
Josh Freilich I believe so
this song is wall street's anthem or it should be
Did you see Spider-Man the musical? Me neither.
idk... he was pretty funny in the batman beyond rendition
Was this written by Desmond Child and Jim Steinman?
Just jim steinman
@MarioMan19 because the dude dies i assume.
@MarioMan19 niether was spider-man...
Who is singing this???? Please tell
Rob Evans.
Or Superman....but that didn't go well when they made it
OJ's trial: Give us the Juice and we'll go
Who is the singer here?
:)
His name is Rob Evans he is a huge broadway actor
travis brunell
I think he wanted to know which character was signing it.
RoganDerrick I meant the performer. But thanks for being concerned.
Robert Evan. He played Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway
It's interesting to hear the original version, but I prefer Meat Loaf's take.
I actually thought Meatloaf's version was good but didn't sound as villanous as this one.
meatloaf version is so superior than this much
+Paul Mcgregor I actually like this one more.
+Paul Mcgregor Meatloaf is better but I do like this.
I prefer this to Meatloaf's version.
Meatloaf's version was a lot better.
They should use the Prince songs...
If they were to make a Batman musical, i think batman returns would have bin a better choice. Mostlly because it just seems more operetic, and u can imagine the penguin being a rather Phantom of The opera-type figure. I'd actually try and avoid Batman himself singing though, focusing more on the villains as Penguin, Catwoman and Shreck. name? 'The Bat, the cat and the Penguin'.
this version sucks. Meat Loaf's version is way better.
