As someone who does play with loot drops turned on I’ve noticed a few things that new players might like to know.
As P said they do not despawn but if you log off then restart the game the map markers do disappear even though the crate is still there. So I like to mark them for later pick up.
They can land on POIs and even on trees so bring frames to nerd pile up if needed.
A few updates ago they made a change that the signal smoke restarts as you get close to it. But remember it only does this once. If you walk up to it then walk away then try to look for it later the signal smoke does not start up again.
They are real crates as they fall into the world and if you can aim in god mode you can safely ride them to the ground or open them in the air, which isn’t useful but is interesting.
They usually have building materials and food so if you’re about to build a base it might be worth making the journey to them before just in case.
I found this out when one dropped in the snow while I was out questing, then night fell and I closed the game because I didn't have time to wait out the night. I first thought it disappeared entirely, but I found it later when I did a buried supplies nearby. Fortunately, the marker also reappears if you get close enough.
The mining set only affects the stone axe, iron pick, steel pick and auger. It has no affect on axes, shovels or chainsaws.
For the newbies: If you're lucky enough to find a shotgun choke mod when you have the double barrel, equip it and never use ADS, that way you won't burn through your stamina trying to line up your shots

3:18 far as I could dig into the xml files, it seems that at certain increments of heat increase (25% right? I can't recall correctly) screamers will have 25% chance to spawn and that chance goes up all the way to 100% chance at 100% heatmap activity. so now screamer spawns are also governed by RNG I guess
I saw two five create the "layer cake" challenge, and it would be nice to see you give it a shot.

Just a heads up to new players, Navezgane Falls Diner can spawn an additional Feral Wight. My game stage was pretty low and still in the forest biome and two of them came running at me from seperate rooms.
supply drops never despawn. but if you dont get them and log off you need to get within 150m again to see them. thats if you have the marked drops on anyway.
I know this a tutorial series but Prebuilt without 5 forges, 5 workstations, a Motorcycle, a tier 5 shotgun, tier 5 quest unlocked, and 2 chem stations on day 10 feels so odd…

ARGH. I forgot you could craft iron tools in your inventory. OMG. I used my stone axe to break through concrete in the construction of my horde base! So mad.
Maybe they could make a "soil" variant called hard soil that was before stone but after "soft soil" to make steel shovels more useful
the lumberjack gloves increases axe damage
What about making a video comparing the different melee builds?
Apparently 1 point into any of the armor perks increases the chances of armored up magazines showing up.
Can you get a larger basket on the bike?
I saved up enough coins for the crucible, and I was checking all the traders daily for when it was in stock, but they just never had it available. So, I kept trying to collect the Forge Ahead magazines so maybe I wouldn't need to buy it and I could just use the coins on something else, because I was really close to unlocking the crucible, only a couple magazines away.
I would still check the traders daily anyway, since I really needed the ability to craft steel at that point and I still didn't get the magazines I needed. Finally, the crucible was in stock, but I left the coins at my base so I made a mental note to come back later before the trader closed.
There was a massive issue though, as I turned in a quest shortly afterwards. I ended up getting a crucible as a reward option. And if that wasn't bad enough, when I left the trader's building and checked the trader's forge for loot...I didn't know you could find a crucible as a loot item but there it was, in the forge at the trader that just gave me a crucible as a quest reward...
All those magazines, all those days waiting, all those quests to save up coins... and I get not just one, but two crucibles in the space of 5 minutes by random luck... I almost just wanted to quit at that point. I was so done. I didn't know whether to be amazed at my luck, or utterly disappointed all of my hard work and struggle amounted to nothing.
For more content, maybe go back and do op videos for some of the og pals? Even though they arent new, there are probably new players and even veterans who probably havent taken some of those pals to their full potential
Hey bro I’m currently trying to loot the tier 3 buildings and running into the sprinting feral zombies, any idea how to deal with them I’m new to the game.
Which map is this? I only ever played navezgane but I wanna try this one out!
It is a randomly generated map. When making a map, you can provide a seed, biome, layout, and POI preferences to it. I believe in the first video, he shows you what his world generation settings are.
Steel tools ⚒️
Maybe I just had steel toes on the brain. Lugging around 12.5” of red wing steel toe wading boots for 11 hours at the wastewater treatment plant. This operator didn’t hear nothing but steel toes. Captioning is good if you are watching from a high back ground noise saturated environment like the WWTP. 😅

Hey, what armor mods do you recommend now that pockets are limited? Is Pack Mule better than "worthless" now? Also, can't use +armor mods for heavy armor? DUMB!
Imo pack mule is even more worthless now, theres 4duple pocket mod now, and you can stack pockets mods on the same armor part as long as you dont repeat them

Lore wise it doesnt make sense to me either.
But in game you can put 1 double pocket mod, 1 triple pocket mod and 1 quadruple pocket mod in any 3 slot piece

@@IzPrebuilt Well maybe more uninformed rather than deranged - obviously I have no awareness of your relationship with RUclips, at least before now. Very happy to hear that it's working out for you, that doesn't seem to be a common sentiment amongst your peers.
That being said, 480p nearly every time, and it's not like I'm jumping on your every video while it's still rendering the higher qualities à la 2019.
That also being said, nice scores on those beakers. A few more of those and you'll need to make some nice shelving units to display them.
@@IzPrebuilt prebuilt I have a question for you I want to start a insane nightmare run with my friend but we both never did insane nightmare so I wanted to ask u a few questions on what we could do to make our run successful..1st question is on my build I kinda wanted to go with rogue or the scavenger set with lucky looter,salvage operations, miner69 motherload,better barter,daring adventure that way we can be stacked on resources,materials,dukes be like a loot goblin and then after I have all those I was gonna spec into weapon damage but what weapon do u think is best to use for insane nightmare runs bc my friend likes using guns but ik insane nightmare will be a lot harder so what do u also recommend for him and what armor sets should we both use?
Bear Den is a GREAT horde base. you can put ladders on the side of the building to quickly climb to the roof. wipe out the zombies on the ground floor since you need to do some work on the elevator shaft there. it has a ladder going from the bottom to the rooftop. clean up the zombies there (usually a vulture and a couple of zeds). you don't even need to bother with the zombies on the second floor (among others, zombie bears). you can easily block off the elevator door on the roof, break an iron block or two on top of the ladder and put a scaffolding block in its place(s). then just sit there and bash the zeds climbing up the ladder with your melee weapon, shoot 'em up and throw explosives down the shaft to soften them up and deal with the animals. you can build a cage to protect against occasional vulture. it is recommended to upgrade the elevator shaft and the ladder to cobblestone and later concrete (or sooner, depending on difficulty and biome. you can easily buy concrete from traders). the downside: occasionally, zombies may push one of them through the scaffolding block above the ladder because this game is perfect and has no glithces.
