The spears, specifically, are NOT key to the trick. The NUMBER of items are the trick to get this to work. In order for the trader to buy one "stack" of one item every 3 days, you need a minimum of 6 items in the machine. Any items will work, but it either needs to be 6 different items, or items that do not stack with each other (other than the ONE stack you do want to sell). I personally use wood clubs since they only require wood to make and they do not stack, so I simply make 5 of them with left over wood after making stack(s) of Wood Doors, Wood Double Doors, Hatches, etc. As long as you have 6 items in the machine, the trader will buy one of the default priced items (and will not buy the overpriced random items) every 3 days. As for what to sell, you want to put in a.) Items that Stack (since the trader will only buy 1 stack per 3 days, and items that stack means more total money), and b.) Items that sell for lots of money (per stack). Bicycle Handlebars, Minibike Handlebars, etc also are decent options, but like the video shows Wooded Door and Hatches are optimal since they stack to 500 units, do not require any skills to craft them ASAP, and only require 10 wood to craft.

@@Spartan85 Also note that sometimes, especially if you have left the area/biome that the rented machine is in, when you come back to see what sold after 3 days, it may not show any Dukes being available to collect or that a stack of items got removed/sold. If you have met the criteria of having a minimum of 6 available items/stacks and at least one of those items/stacks was default price, then the lack of collectible funds is simply a glitch. Click the collect button, close the UI and reopen and it will have updated.

This does still work, but initially I did not think it did. I used the same vending machine as the video used, and I did the exact same setup as the video described (except I sold 250 doors initially). I put the doors in first, then the 5 level one stone spears, and raised the spears one 20% click each. I waited 4 in game days due to being in the middle of a mission, and when I checked the vendor nothing had sold. I decided to lower the wooden door price one 20% click and exited the vending machine, but immediately opened it back up to make sure the price changed like I selected. To my surprise when I opened the machine the doors were now gone and I had 90k dukes sitting there. I'm going to attempt to do it again and I'll let y'all know the results.
theres a glitch in the vending machines too. they dont allways count days. i have had a vending machine sit at 92 days left on the rental for 7 in game days. it has to be 3 days that the vending machine counts. its also why you see in this video it bought more than one thing cause it counted many days.

I pelleve I've discovered a method where you can just repeatedly earn 125k Dukes constantly without needing to wait an additional 3 days each time. Here's how it works: 1. Wait the initial 3 days to get your first 120k+ Dukes. 2. Once you receive the 120k+, Exit and then re-enter and remove the spears and then exit the machine again. 3. Re-enter the machine and add the next 500 doors, then re-add the spears with the inflated price. 4. Exit and re-enter the machine one more time. When you go back in, the doors will be gone again, and you'll have another 120k+ Dukes waiting for you. I used this method and managed to accumulate over 1 million Dukes in a sinale

Just did it right now. Still works and has not been patched. I think it has to be exactly 3 days because I just checked and it did not work, but then I checked 2 minutes later and it worked. On PS5 btw, 18th of August.

Got my Dukes from this yesterday. I did it wrong first so it took longer to get it took about 7 days to get because messing up on it but 3 days with fixing it. Thank you so much for this video. Helps alot.
I can confirm that this STILL works on PS5 as of the 18th of September.. I will answer some questions. Yes, you can move around biomes and loot up whilst waiting for your dukes to come in. You MUST wait 72 in-game hours once listing the door's before going back into the vending.. example: It's Day 6 : 14:00 you wait until Day 9 : 14:00 It works in all trader locations! If you have issue's i will answer 😅
best is selling stacks of stone. I am currently on day 140 something with 2 hour days. I have 22 million + dukes in the machine. And probably spend over 50 million at the traders. My setup is 5-7 stacks of .44 ammo and stacks of stone for the rest. About 1-2 pages full in the machine.
So I found a quicker way.. I waited in day, went back and checked the vending machine. Nothing. Immediately went back into the vending machine again and the doors were gone and duke's were there. I did this three times so far and its worked each time.
I have done this twice now. Each time I had to lower the price of the doors by 1 ratio. Not a big deal. Still walked away with 100k in coins. Thanks for the tip!
There’s no need to wait the five days doing this. Once you put everything in the vending machine. Open an close it really really fast and the doors sell instantly. Your welcome

Xbox here i just tried the glitch 9-2-24 and it does work! one thing tho is for me i didn’t have to wait the two days for the doors to sell,(i originally waited four days) i got the money from the original doors, then added more. i went to farm for 20 mins and went back and the doors i just put in there sold, so you may not have to wait “days” . It may not work for you right away for me i had to go and take a spear out on the 4th day and then put it back in, went back and instantly sold 😊
You only need 5 random item and increase it price. The 6th item is the double door. Then about every 3 days.. you will get the money. I been doing this for the last month so i know it works. Found this glitch from another youtuber shorts.
I personally wouldn’t consider it a glitch, it’s a intended feature but the items that you can sell have overtuned prices. I would expect it to be nerfed, not removed.

Not a glitch. But definitely an exploit. They’ll buy an item out of 6+ items and if you raise the price, they’ll ignore that item even if ALL items are raised. So leave the items that sale well at a regular price and add raised price junk items until you have more than 6 items
I never knew the vending machines were of any use in single player. So I've been running around wrenching every bit if scrap for electrical and mechanical components to sell. And all I had to do was make doors and spears/clubs. Guess I know what I'm going to try next time I play, thank you for the video.
ok no one is testing and truly paying attention. first as others say you need a total of 6 items in it to sell one. the second that everyone is missing is the vending machine has to count/go 3 days. heres the problem, theres a glitch in the vending machine. it doesnt count days well. i have scene it count one day in 6-7 in game days. i have also scene it count 2 days in the same day. it is a glitch and if it ever gets fixed you can bet the amount of money we get will be nerfed. so be happy with what we get and dont try and use this as your main income. oh one last glitch, you can "force" a sale just by opening and closing the vending machine. how many? dont know. is it a set amount? dont know. this is TFP and programming isnt their best suite. last for those who want proof on the day counting he rented the machine on day one and at day 15 its still at 31 days of rental time and thats what he started at. this is a glitch in every sense of the word.
I wish I wouldn’t have watched this. Now I have to fight the urge to cheat when I’m strapped for cash. It’s especially an issue because I’m endlessly strapped for brass.
Just have skills in barter and living off land. Knife flowers and cotton. Take to traders and keep your honor ;) I use my first two points on those skills and you can get big jump on food/water first day.
I'm convinced that the vending machines are an ongoing prank to the 7 days to die community. Had a vending machine for literally 14 in game days. Nothing sold, I've never seen anything sell out of that thing. Got 6k Rocks in there with a bunch of iron handle bars and some random weapons. Nothing sells.
the more you stash in, the quicker he will buy something. it can take days and sometimes even a week but if you stashed if to full he will eventually but alot of ya stuff. just keep adding stuff you wanna sell and stuff you dont for an too high price and your good to go
I expect the Fun Pimps will eventually address this exploit and nerf it to some intolerable degree. They don't like it when you can bypass their trap rooms for loot, or trivialize horde night with clever base designs. Surely this Duke windfall will trigger them and a nerf patch will follow.
It seems they fixed the doors by making them 1 duke in value. So do the same thing 5 items that don't stack raise by 20% then place bicycle handlebars for not using duct tape or motorcycle if you want a bit more while using duct tape.
can confirm this works, note for I do sometimes have to take something out put it back in then close and reopen the vending machine after the three days to get it to update
If you have 250 raw diamonds they sell for 101250 any vehicle works but the easy on making the most out of it 4X4 truck if you don't have the truck use the bicycle. If anyone wants to know how it's done I can show it
Okay everyone on PS5 I figured it out. If your vending machine is stuck at the same day all the time, you need to wait until the trader changes his goods. Once this happens put all your stuff in the machine and then open and close the machine 2-3 times. You can do this every time the trader changes what he’s selling.
I saw this video and was excited to try this with my buddy. Unfortunately it seems this no longer works. At least for Xbox. The value of the double doors (as well as a bunch of other crafted items) can’t be raised higher than 1 duke.
I've sold the trader small stones before. I usually play modded... can you not buy your own machine eventually in the base game? I've got one set up in my base, although I haven't been exploiting it. I like farming so I've been selling him super corn. I've made over 2 million dukes at a time, although that was three harvests and in War3zuk you can take 10 points in crypto to get an extra 30% price. Even in vanilla though you can break the game with a supercorn base. It's not really an exploit so much as a calling to be a farmer. And the Xp from harvesting and selling is insane. In Undead Legacy the item stacks were smaller so you couldn't sell as much at a time so we just built a supercorn farm at each trader. /Side note, traders will usually only buy 3 of (or three stacks of if the item stacks) of an item at a time until they reset.
I did this one time on my main trader, it worked perfect, then never worked again, i didn't test this on another trader but It only worked only once in the same trader...
This is something that can be done on day one, but it does require 2500 dukes to rent the machine. A stack of double wood doors sold by day 4 for 125k is enough to last thru mid game. By day 13 you could have more dukes than you ever need.
For those that want to do this but don’t want to feel like it’s a cheat or glitch, do it with the super corn. It takes a few days in game to be able to aquire it, and even longer to get high tier farming gear to make it really good. Adds a bit of grind to the game and makes it feel like you’re actually earning the dukes.

Im on xbox series S and this did NOT work! I tried it twice and put 5x spears and 1 stack of double doors and left them till the rent on the machine expired but checked them every 5 days and nothing sold! Im struggling for brass and hoped this worked so i could scrap them for brass but sadly it doesnt work! 😢
It works but it's not consistent. I've had multiple items sold daily and then I've had no sales for in game weeks. It does only work if you have 5 junk items such as spears but you can use anything as long as it's 5 of them and you jack the price up 1 click on the + button.
3 days, then click on collect money, exit vending machine, and check again. There's a ui visual glitch where it looks like nothing has sold, but it has.
@@Rufus_West Appreciate it but I've done it, still not consistent. Like I said, I've had it work 2 days straight and I've it not work for 2 weeks (game weeks). Still worth trying it but I wouldn't rent it for more than 30 days at a time. Even if it doesn't work it won't cost ya more than 2500 dukes.

They're not buying anything at all in the 30 days I had the vending machine rented for. Do I need to be in the same biome or something? I came back to check every few days, but I've been exploring the whole map.
Should the stack be full? Like double wooden doors should be 500 pieces to sell? Or can i place less? And i have done everything right but still not selling, 5 ingame days passed and nothing sold, how do i know if the days are bugged or not and how should fix it if possible?
Does this method work on servers? I rented a machine from Rekt, put in 500 single wooden doors and 5 stone spears at level 5 and increased the price of the spears by 20%. 5 days have passed and nothing.
@@Spartan85 It started working. Only six days after putting it in did the trader buy it back. Overall, I recommend super corn, it's a bit of fun to grow but it pays off a lot.
Does this still work after console update 1.005? It used to work before yesterday's update, my doors have been sitting in there for 6 in-game days now.
If anyone notices, there's a bug with the display of the expiration date for the vending machine rent. It doesn't go down with each passing day. 🙃 First encountered this in my own playthrough and thought it was only a me thing. Thank god I am not the only one having this bug. Aside from the display, everything should still work so the bugged display is annoying at best.
this isnt really a glitch other than that those double doors are worth 250 wich is pretty ridiculous XD i used to do this with stacks of stone, i put in like 20 stacks and he buys alot of it when you put 50 items in it. he also tends to buy things quicker when you stash it to full

Videos like this never made any sense. Either you're playing on your own locally hosted server, in which case you can use the developer menu to get any item you want. Or else you're playing on a publicly hosted server, in which case dupes or other exploits will get you banned.
@notgonnahappen7899 not sure who is going to ban you. Plus most pc players are playing solo or on private servers. But if it's not patched it's on TFP.
Like I said in the vid? Useful if you still want achievements and not creative mode. And you can put anything you want in there especially things the trader doesn’t want to buy, makes sense to me 🤷♂️

You can still sell 50 minibike handlebars for 90k dukes. I chose the minibike handlebars because that's the 1 that requires no duct tapes.

You actually don’t have to wait a couple days you can spam the collect button a couple times close it and open it again

I never knew the vending machines were of any use in single player. So I've been running around wrenching every bit if scrap for electrical and mechanical components to sell. And all I had to do was make doors and spears/clubs. Guess I know what I'm going to try next time I play, thank you for the video.
ok no one is testing and truly paying attention. first as others say you need a total of 6 items in it to sell one. the second that everyone is missing is the vending machine has to count/go 3 days. heres the problem, theres a glitch in the vending machine. it doesnt count days well. i have scene it count one day in 6-7 in game days. i have also scene it count 2 days in the same day. it is a glitch and if it ever gets fixed you can bet the amount of money we get will be nerfed. so be happy with what we get and dont try and use this as your main income. oh one last glitch, you can "force" a sale just by opening and closing the vending machine. how many? dont know. is it a set amount? dont know. this is TFP and programming isnt their best suite. last for those who want proof on the day counting he rented the machine on day one and at day 15 its still at 31 days of rental time and thats what he started at. this is a glitch in every sense of the word.
I wish I wouldn’t have watched this. Now I have to fight the urge to cheat when I’m strapped for cash. It’s especially an issue because I’m endlessly strapped for brass.
Just have skills in barter and living off land. Knife flowers and cotton. Take to traders and keep your honor ;) I use my first two points on those skills and you can get big jump on food/water first day.

I'm convinced that the vending machines are an ongoing prank to the 7 days to die community.
Had a vending machine for literally 14 in game days. Nothing sold, I've never seen anything sell out of that thing.
Got 6k Rocks in there with a bunch of iron handle bars and some random weapons. Nothing sells.
the more you stash in, the quicker he will buy something. it can take days and sometimes even a week but if you stashed if to full he will eventually but alot of ya stuff. just keep adding stuff you wanna sell and stuff you dont for an too high price and your good to go
I expect the Fun Pimps will eventually address this exploit and nerf it to some intolerable degree. They don't like it when you can bypass their trap rooms for loot, or trivialize horde night with clever base designs. Surely this Duke windfall will trigger them and a nerf patch will follow.

This isn't working for me. It's been 4 days and nothing has been bought by the trader. Does it matter which trader you do this at?
It seems they fixed the doors by making them 1 duke in value. So do the same thing 5 items that don't stack raise by 20% then place bicycle handlebars for not using duct tape or motorcycle if you want a bit more while using duct tape.
can confirm this works, note for I do sometimes have to take something out put it back in then close and reopen the vending machine after the three days to get it to update
If you have 250 raw diamonds they sell for 101250 any vehicle works but the easy on making the most out of it 4X4 truck if you don't have the truck use the bicycle. If anyone wants to know how it's done I can show it
If you are going to do this glitch may as well just turn creative on and give yourself money, save yourself some minutes xd

People are saying it doesn't work because the devs crashed the price of doors, but does this work if a different item was found?
Apparently, King Sized Beds and Bicycle Handlebars (while a bit more costly) still do well at the vending machines

Okay everyone on PS5 I figured it out. If your vending machine is stuck at the same day all the time, you need to wait until the trader changes his goods. Once this happens put all your stuff in the machine and then open and close the machine 2-3 times. You can do this every time the trader changes what he’s selling.
I saw this video and was excited to try this with my buddy. Unfortunately it seems this no longer works. At least for Xbox. The value of the double doors (as well as a bunch of other crafted items) can’t be raised higher than 1 duke.
Same on PC, seems to have been patched :P

This is more of a bug not a glitch since the item sales are supposed to be simulated sales from people visiting the shop.

I've sold the trader small stones before.
I usually play modded... can you not buy your own machine eventually in the base game? I've got one set up in my base, although I haven't been exploiting it. I like farming so I've been selling him super corn. I've made over 2 million dukes at a time, although that was three harvests and in War3zuk you can take 10 points in crypto to get an extra 30% price. Even in vanilla though you can break the game with a supercorn base. It's not really an exploit so much as a calling to be a farmer. And the Xp from harvesting and selling is insane. In Undead Legacy the item stacks were smaller so you couldn't sell as much at a time so we just built a supercorn farm at each trader.
/Side note, traders will usually only buy 3 of (or three stacks of if the item stacks) of an item at a time until they reset.
I did this one time on my main trader, it worked perfect, then never worked again, i didn't test this on another trader but It only worked only once in the same trader...
This is something that can be done on day one, but it does require 2500 dukes to rent the machine. A stack of double wood doors sold by day 4 for 125k is enough to last thru mid game. By day 13 you could have more dukes than you ever need.
For those that want to do this but don’t want to feel like it’s a cheat or glitch, do it with the super corn. It takes a few days in game to be able to aquire it, and even longer to get high tier farming gear to make it really good. Adds a bit of grind to the game and makes it feel like you’re actually earning the dukes.

@@childoffire8068 yeah, early game I can see that. I play with 120 minute days, so I always have time to harvest resources so I never really noticed the effort at first.

Think this may be patched on xbox. Been using this and every 3 days they would sale but for some reason now it's not selling. Update.... 1.1 it is patched wood doors now sell for 1 coin

Tried this on console day 1. It's day 11 and hasn't bought the first stack of double doors I put in day 1. Still have the 5 spears there too.

Im on xbox series S and this did NOT work! I tried it twice and put 5x spears and 1 stack of double doors and left them till the rent on the machine expired but checked them every 5 days and nothing sold! Im struggling for brass and hoped this worked so i could scrap them for brass but sadly it doesnt work! 😢

It works but it's not consistent. I've had multiple items sold daily and then I've had no sales for in game weeks. It does only work if you have 5 junk items such as spears but you can use anything as long as it's 5 of them and you jack the price up 1 click on the + button.
3 days, then click on collect money, exit vending machine, and check again. There's a ui visual glitch where it looks like nothing has sold, but it has.
@@Rufus_West Appreciate it but I've done it, still not consistent. Like I said, I've had it work 2 days straight and I've it not work for 2 weeks (game weeks). Still worth trying it but I wouldn't rent it for more than 30 days at a time. Even if it doesn't work it won't cost ya more than 2500 dukes.

They're not buying anything at all in the 30 days I had the vending machine rented for. Do I need to be in the same biome or something? I came back to check every few days, but I've been exploring the whole map.
Should the stack be full? Like double wooden doors should be 500 pieces to sell? Or can i place less?
And i have done everything right but still not selling, 5 ingame days passed and nothing sold, how do i know if the days are bugged or not and how should fix it if possible?

Does this method work on servers? I rented a machine from Rekt, put in 500 single wooden doors and 5 stone spears at level 5 and increased the price of the spears by 20%. 5 days have passed and nothing.
Just depends on the server settings possibly, and honestly not sure if this got patched in the latest update too. Might try a non server maybe too
@@Spartan85 It started working. Only six days after putting it in did the trader buy it back. Overall, I recommend super corn, it's a bit of fun to grow but it pays off a lot.

If anyone notices, there's a bug with the display of the expiration date for the vending machine rent. It doesn't go down with each passing day. 🙃
First encountered this in my own playthrough and thought it was only a me thing. Thank god I am not the only one having this bug.
Aside from the display, everything should still work so the bugged display is annoying at best.

It's not a countdown. It tells you what day it ends. So in his case, day 31. Not in 31 days.

this isnt really a glitch other than that those double doors are worth 250 wich is pretty ridiculous XD i used to do this with stacks of stone, i put in like 20 stacks and he buys alot of it when you put 50 items in it. he also tends to buy things quicker when you stash it to full

why would I do that when playing on local host? it ruins the gaming experience, and to do that in a solo game you have to activate cheats.

Videos like this never made any sense. Either you're playing on your own locally hosted server, in which case you can use the developer menu to get any item you want. Or else you're playing on a publicly hosted server, in which case dupes or other exploits will get you banned.
@notgonnahappen7899 not sure who is going to ban you. Plus most pc players are playing solo or on private servers. But if it's not patched it's on TFP.
Like I said in the vid? Useful if you still want achievements and not creative mode. And you can put anything you want in there especially things the trader doesn’t want to buy, makes sense to me 🤷♂️
