- Despite my namesake, I do in fact have some non-rogue based builds.
~Hope you enjoy this Paladin build!
My first video did a "little" bit better than I was anticipating, so I wasn't exactly prepared to get this video out so soon, so I hope it still came out ok.
Armor Set Worn in Thumbnail/Opening/etc. in this video:
Helm: Fierce Golden Helm, Harlequin Black and White Dye, Found in the Mind flayer colony in act 2
Cloak: Cloak of the Weave, Sinful Red on Bone White Dye, Bought from Helsik in the Devils Fee in act 3
Chest: Plate Armor +2, Harlequin Black and White Dye, Bought from almost any Act 3 Vendor after level 11
Gloves: Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength, Harlequin Black and White Dye, Archive in the House of Hope Act 3
Boots: Boots of Persistence, Harlequin Black and White Dye, Bought from Dammon in Act 3
Sword: Voss's Silver Sword, Bought from Voss in Act 3
Also just so people understand my stance on builds, I try to make my builds with a focus on making the build strong through class levels and without abusing bugs (looking at you Warlock pact of the blade extra attack). Realistically in this game, ANY build can be extremely strong if you abuse potions of speed, bloodlust elixir's, and the many items or effects that don't disappear from your character when you unequip the item or remove the caster from your party (eg. warding bond) Personally, I don't find using these types of exploits fun, (if you like them, then go to town, its your game) so I really try to make it so my builds toe the line between complete minimaxing and reasonable play for the game.
Like for instance, you'll notice if you look at what actual gear I use on my Paladin, its not that good, I use it purely for the aesthetics, and supplement my item deficiency with my class build and strategy.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Intro cinematic audio is from this scene (in case you didn't get the reference):

If you don't want war priest bonus attack to activate before paladin extra attack then make sure you take 5 paladin level first before multiclassing to cleric. The game is registering your war priest bonus attack first because you get paladin extra attack afterwards.
Yeah, the play is probably to respec at level 6 to go the 5 paladin levels first.
Great tip!
I love the holy grail intro. Nice comedic touch towards the build.
If that was the entire video, you’d’ve gotten a like and subscribe anyway 😂. Side note, I just randomly watched QFtHG on Netflix last week and discovered a scene that I’d never witnessed in the 100+ viewings of the DVD version I’ve had since I was a kid. My mind exploded!
11/10 for clear instruction, locations, leveling path, just top tier. Kudos to you on this one 🎓
Glad you enjoyed it!
this is by far the cleanest and non clucky looking explanation of levels i have ever seen. so easy to process. Edit: typed that before finishing the video. this whole video is clean AF
You've 100% earned a sub man, this is such a good guide with a really good roadmap for all the Acts. Most other guides I see only focus on Act 3 equipment so its nice to see something to help you get prepared with lower level gear
This video is so well spaced out, clean and clear cut, my adhd didn't get tickled even once. Great job!
BY FAR, the most comprehensive build guide I've found since i started playing the game, great video my guy!
How have I only just found your channel after looking through so many builds! Absolutely fantastic and looking forward to watching more 😁
I like you explain the leveling first and quickly. You don’t over analyze or long wind explanations. I enjoy the other people who do so too but you are to the point. I enjoy that.
Top notch content my good sir the intro was S tier and it’s nice to see Quincy still doing well
My brother in christ you must make more of these you are the best guide to bg3 builds ive seen thus far
I currently have 2 more builds in the works rn, but of course they take a bit to make since in addition to scripting, recording, and editing the videos, I also like to play through most of the game on each build to make sure they feel good to play at all points. Also since I tend to play solo or 2 characters max (my character and 1 companion), and I dont use consumables or illithid powers my runs aren't usually very fast.
10:11 The Gloves of the Automaton buff actually resets on Short Rest, not Long Rest, so they're even better!
yea, oops, misspoke
They way you did the leveling up part is the best I've seen of any build video. Clear and to the point. Easy to screenshot the important parts. You earned a life long sub. Good work brother!!
Thank you! I worked pretty hard to make all my graphics to make it so my leveling section is still reminiscent of the actual level up screen while presenting the information more concisely.
One of the most well made build video's I have seen. Thanks a bunch.
Literally the best and smoothest build guide. The comedy intro was just a bonus. You definitely earned a subscription
probably the best layout for a build ive seen for this game, incredibly helpful
SO good
Thank you so much for all your builds, I’ve never really known how to go about multi-classing before but your videos are helping me make the game very fun
By far the best build guides I've ever seen
Awesome build guide! Precise and easy to follow. And as a lot of these other comments mention, showing the itemisation route from act 1 is so helpful. Majority of BG3 builds only cater to end game and it’s annoying af. Subbed.
best intro ever! and best guides super easy to follow, thank you!
I have almost a 1:1 same build on in one of my saves, but mostly love how clear the guide is! Subscribed :)
opening was GOLD I have never seen your channel before but you got me cackling
i love how you wrote down your swag set and the dye in the description big ups on that
Criminally underrated videos, your builds are better than lots of other channels and they are much more entertaining and better structured. Hope you go far with this channel :).
Thank you!
Easily the best BG3 video intro. Now I have to go watch the whole movie. Thanks!
It is a timeless classic!
I love the interplay between Great weapon master bonus attack & War Priest Bonus attack. Especially with Smites spiced in. Great job on this one.
That Intro cracked me xD Epic! And very nice build! Thx
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!! They are one of the best bg3 build videos i have seen. Keep it up.
Thanks a ton!
*Hilarious Intro.* It took me a few seconds to recognize it was a replica from a Monty Python film. But when the arm came off 😂 it was clear -- really, really nicely done!
My new favorite RUclips channel! ❤
This opening was pure gold. Very well done. You just won a sub😂
Great opening! Love MP!
i like how you present the content, such simple but require lots of work ❤keep it up
Thank you! Will do!
Amazing guide and very easy to follow, subbed! :D
THE best intro. You win the internet, and a sub!
Big respect for going the extra effort and putting a description where each gear is aquired
Subbed instantly at 3:04 that class breakdown won me over.
That opening skit was a banger!
mann keep up w/ the good builds, I'm loving the vids!
Glad you like them!
That intro was awesome!
never really cared for build videos but your presentation is perfect! (LOL at the opening cinematic
If your build video starts off with a Monty Python sketch, it's automatically the best build video ever.
I think respec to be fighter at first level would get you the con saving throw proficiency to help you with those Cleric concentration spells while you’re in combat. I really like this build and might do it with a Githyanki character. Can’t go wrong with stat proficiency and some of the Gith equipment.
I’m looking forward to more of your builds. Your use of humor is much appreciated as well.
i can hardly focus on a lot of videos due to how messy they are, but this one was clean and just what i was looking for so i had to sub 💪🏻
Another banger - good stuff
Thank you!
Intro...is...fantastic 👏
Looking forward to your next one! Definitely subbed
Awesome, thank you!
Bro u are the best. Clear and easy built guide for ALL. Mostly of the time on RUclips you can find some guides but very trashy in my opinion. Good job Man U have my respect. Now we are waiting for the Sorlock guide 😂❤
S tier guide and great skit
You make one of the best guides. Clear and funny :) gj ! Goes the sub right away :)
Man i loved that intro, quality
The opening made me happy
Greatest BG3 intro EVER!!!
I currently have a 5/2 war cleric of selune fighter, Gith. I genuinely love the character, alot of diversity. Also have 18/18/18 on strength, dex and wis through items etc. Genuinely really fun to play as a diverse party member.
(Last was a Pally/Lock/Sorc, Drow, romancing Karlach. That was a auper fun run.)
Edit: if you're wondering why Selune, Gith. I thought it was a cool RP option for romancing our fave Shart
Keep it up bro, i love your videos, the way you edit is insane and funny af, hope you get the recognition you deserve
Also nice build again, I'll definitely try it out
Thank you!
The first 10 seconds of this video got my sub.
That opening 🤣 SUBBED
OMG - you win the Internets for the opening. Much love for Monty Python. The Quest for the Holy Grail is one of my favorite movies :-)
Best opening ever!
OK, that intro was hilarious, and just reminded me how timeless MP&THG was! “‘Tis but a scratch!”😂
The moment i saw the watcher arm in the factory, it was like god himself came to me with a vision
Dude the opening was brilliant
I saw the steelwatcher arm in the factory and god himself came to me with a vision.
God I love you for the opening python skit
You make the best build viddos for bg3 bro keep it up
i can't wait for your beast master build to see Quincy in action
How have I never thought of this before. The most God-devoted classes in the game, both with a subclass that’s basically Paladin lite, that both chew through long rests regardless. It’s genius
Deus Vult fellow Paladin! I did wish for Paladin to have a deity but this will work for me.
An incredible intro.
Great video❤
Palabard is still my favorite. Can focus on charisma rather than splitting with wisdom. Can also get 6th level spell slots with an extra attack and can even multiclass more if you want the benefits of sorcerer and/or wizard
another great build! would love to see a sorcerer build or dual wield build in the future
Thank you! If you want a spoiler for the next 2 im currently working on Im currently working on a supportive arcane trickster type build and a necromantic death knight type build. I do have a sorcerer build in the cards for later, but no dual wield build planned atm.
Great 2nd vid. Loved the previous assassin bard thief build. Hope you do sorlock
Very good and concise video, now GIVE ME THE DRIP
Aaaaaand subscribed
Nice vid, keep it up
Thanks, will do!
Instant like for the Holy Grail skit
great! i hope in a cool monk build for the future 🤩
Looking at the name I've always used online, its only a matter of time before I do a shadow monk build.
@@Stealth_07 shadow monk! i cant wait! nice. 😍😍😍
Tis but a scratch! That Intro alone desevers a like
The perfect build for my good dark urge playthrough I went sorcadin for my evil run
Your builds are very excellent, I passed the boss fight with Orin and after that the game demolished my save for 60 hours😂😂
10/10 intro
Do more builds, only your builds, I really like your builds
Monty pythons in the beginning had me crying. Hahahahaha. Fantastic 😭😭😭😭😭😭
One piece of gear id highly recommend is the diadem of arcane synergy, it states when you inflict a condtion you gain arcane synergy(add spellcasting modifier to weapon attacks) for 2 turns however inflict a condition refers to doing basically anything at all this includes things like doing a performance check with an instrument which is a free action so you can always get it up at the start of combat
Something to keep in mind if your going to use it though is that you will want to make sure that if your wisdom is your highest spellcasting stat, that cleric is your most recently taken NEW spellcasting class, so that your wisdom is what gets applied to the arcane synergy. While most recent spell casting class doesnt matter for spells learned through classes, it does matter for item effects and scrolls, so for arcane synergy in particular its important.
@@Stealth_07yes super important that last class is your spellcasting class, currently running it on my 6 paladin 6 sorcerer build with 20 strength and charisma
Great video. Would love to see a bard build from you.
👀 Keep an eye out for this sunday(or monday)
Like and sub from that intro alone. This is top tier content my good sir 😂
Savage attack is fine but you can just play with GWF and nuke anything early, just use the bless ring/ bless and something that gives advantage. Having a weapon +1 weapons helps a lot and the bow with advantage vs monstrosities is good.
I highly suggest the drakethroat glaive, found with one of the merchants in moonrise. You can use it to add an additional +1 as well as 1d4 additional of any elemental damage type to ANY WEAPON.
Main reason I didn't include it is because I don't utilize things such as equipping a weapon for its buff that for some reason lingers after de-equipping it. Same reason why I don't mention that to be fully min maxing we should equip phalar aluve and cast shrieking sword before every fight, before swapping back to our main weapon.
@@Stealth_07 ah gotcha that makes sense. Im definitely gonna use it though. Doing it every long rest isnt too tedious for me. Drakethroat is my favorite weapon that ive never attacked with.
More pleaseeee😂🎉
10/10 Already have a Durge Vengeance Paladin romancing Karlach.
Starting another playthrough to be a Selune Cleric/Paladin romancing Shart. :D
Selune cleric x shart romance is a great playthrough
Wow your builds are so clear and easy to understand bro keep it up. Derserve a sub. Can you make a Necromancer build?
Thank you! I might, its on my list of things to look into, need to see what sort of interesting necromancy related things there are to see if there is a multiclass that is better for this. Because if the best necromancer build is just like 12 wizard necromancy school I likely wont do it.
hope for the next vdo
Amazing intro
Thanks!
Awesome intro
Glad you liked it!
Beautiful intro
That bastard steelwatcher's ai was so uncooperative during my filming for it, but I was very happy with how it ended up
Hahaha I loooooooooooooove Monty python bit!
You need to make that intro into a 1 min short!
Will do! (eventually)
@@Stealth_07 haha I feel the eventually part! I’ve been so busy myself that I haven’t been putting out many vids or shorts lately :(
Tried this build and for the early game in act 1 I see it is better to farm exlier of hill gaint strength from ethal and dump the rest of the points in dex/con
And I did this becomes I miss a lot with 16 str and instead of savage attacker as the first feat I choose heavy weapon master cause with high str you will not be missing a lot and the extra damage is great
That is how I prefer it for early game
when going over items you showed where to get them which makes it 100 times easier man
came looking for a build for my paladin stayed for the intro, you got a sub mate XD. please where can i get that armor in the begining of the vid?
The gear, what dyes they have on them, and where to get them are as follows:
This gear setup is not particularly good as the helm is common tier and the chest plate is just a generic rare item. The other items in the set are all decent, but I am just sacking better equipment for fashion (because as we all know fashion is the real most important stat) . You can easily run this setup on this build and be fine, (I did it with only 1 other character in my party the entire game, while using no illithid powers or consumables so youll be fine).
One note on leveling that i didnt see: Take Cha and start cleric OR take Wis and start Paladin. The game takes your last selected multiclass to use as Spellcasting Ability. 7 Paladin Oathbreaker grants Aura of Hate, which on a Cha based War Priest puts out a LOT of extra damage. Especially good is Aura of Protection and further enhanced by arcane acuity!
The game only displays your most recent class's spell scaling for all spells as the saving throw, it doesn't actually apply it to all spells in practice. Spells will use the spellcasting modifier of the class you learned the spell from.
The only exception is spells from items and scrolls ALWAYS use your most recent class's spell casting ability.
Yea i love the amulet of misyep an all
