Just a quick question will it have the option to re map it even from the drum module( i.e. Roland TD-15k sounds ) ? If this would work then life is not all the bad 😅😅😅😅
hey there! sorry for the late response: we have a preset for the roland td-17 module which should be pretty similar if not the same as the td-15 mapping. maybe just give it a spin and let us know how it works! love from germany!

@@mkaudiostuff How is that different than an annual subscription if "long term" means 1 year access? Can people still use the plugin after one year if they don't pay for it again?
@@JamesZhan I have the same inquiry. Like many, I simply have no interest in subscription-based software. It's good you're trying different approaches, and if subscription works for you, great. But there is a market that will avoid the plugin (how big that is, I don't know).

hey tony! so this has a couple of reasons: the subscription model allows us to add presets and optimize our mapping algorithms all the time as the main logic for that is running on our web servers which are maintained regularly in contrast to updates every X which the user would have to actively download. that's why a one time payment of our users would discourage this maintenance and up to date presets + algorithms as it would be hard to maintain this with thousands of users who made a one time payment years ago ... I see this happen with many plugin/software vendors: the user already paid - screw this user, if he/she has problems who cares, he/she already paid. if the software does not work in a few months on his old or new machine, they won't refund anything ... that sucks! but: would you as a user be more open for a mixed model somewhere in between à la "one time payment with guaranteed availability for the next year" after that no more guaranteed support/updates but probably it will still work? I am myself still looking for the best way for users, developers and maintenance costs for us! cheers!

Cool plugin but I should be able to purchase it out-right no subscription. That's a big deal breaker.

@@mkaudiostuff I appreciate the effort but, I'm sorry guys that's just a yearly subscription fee. You should be selling this out-right to getting it into as many Daws as possible. Before someone else makes this.
@@mixourband hey there! we have taken your feedback to heart and just adjusted our pricing. the reason against a one time forever license is based on the service itself. drum maps and libraries change a lot and converting between them is more a service than it is audio processing
@@mkaudiostuff How about a perpetual license that includes updates for a limited time, like a year? So after a year, the user can still use the plugin they paid for, but they will no longer receive further updates. That should solve the issue you mentioned. This model isn't uncommon either.
I'm interested in the Plugin, but after finding out it's a Subscription, I decided against it, I don't Rent/Lease Software.

This has great potential. Hope the subscriptions flow your way. Not sure if it works in my main daw yet (Mixcraft), but going to investigate. Some daws handle midi routing differently.
Thanks man! Yeah for example! Cubase and Studio One have the same approach: Create a midi track with MidiRemap (select mapping presets) and add your drums to this track than select it as midi input and enable monitoring on the new drum library track, whereas logic and reaper have kind of pre channel midi insert slots ... There are 4 videos linked in the description showing Logic, Cubase, Studio One and Reaper maybe one is similar to Mixcraft! Cheers dude!
@@mkaudiostuff Thanks for the demo mode in the plug. I tested it in Mixcraft and by stacking vsts in the same track channel it will translate audio fine (put the MidiRemap VST as the first instrument on the channel with the original drum midi, then put a virtual drum vst below MidiRemap in the chain on the same track/channel then audio will play fine), but I haven't found a way to get the MIDI to print converted to the new format. Other midi generative plugs like Scalar 2 or Melody Sauce are similar. I have to drag drop midi from within those plugs to access the generated midi. Audio part does work though. It's just how the midi routing works. I've heard something like LoopBE can be used to route midi to new channels/tracks, but haven't been able to get that to work when tried previously. Probably my user error though ;-)
@@michaelmilburn3094 hey michael! thanks for your description. this sounds pretty similar to reaper's approach simply order vsti after each other on one track and done. rendering/transfering this can be accomplished in reaper via a function à la "apply track fx and render new midi". maybe check our short video we did for reaper as maybe there is a similar function in mixcraft: ruclips.net/video/UeszFyfcxCI/видео.html let us know, cheers!
Umm , do you have a Roland TD-50X mapping to any or all of the GGD libraries ... if so I'll subscribe.
Is there a list of supported vstis? Uvi beatbox anthology to drumazon is what I want to use it for in bitwig. And yeah, I've read the comments but not doing another subscription. These are a pain. I want to buy it and own it forever like it always used to be before you all started doing this subscription lark. Thanks.

After some trial and much error, I discovered the Addictive drums recording was converted to GM using that mapping. So when I tried applying this, even after changing the Benny Grebb settings to GM, it just won't work. So I guess my main beef now is any old recording I was hoping to use now has to just be re recorded that used GM. Not sure when manufactures are NOT just using GM mapping more? But anyway, thank you! @@mkaudiostuff

No! No! No! Please let us purchase without the subscription. Like PA you can purchase or subscribe. At some point some developers are going to lose out because one has to make a decision on what to subscribe to. I already subscribe to: Telephone, VPN, WiFi, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Apple Music and TV, Spotify, Output Arcade, Slate Digital and a couple of others. It’s all too much now.
