@ArcadeFL What about "Yamaha VOCALOID 6" ? How is it different from VOCALOID? I think their features are identical. 🤔 Beyond that ACE Studio's payment system is Subscription Based whereas VOCALOID is perpetual (One Time Payment). One more thing VOCALOID provides ARA2 support which is very handy and easy to use in a single workspace within a ARA2 supported DAW.
@eafortson - I'm the same as you. Been producing music in some form or fashion for almost 40 years (mostly for a hobby but every now and again for money) and the last 5 of those have been nothing short of jaw dropping. This is an awesome use of AI - it doesn't feel like the AI is doing ALL the work and I'm free to be creative with sculpting the vocals exactly as I want without having to deal with a vocalist. This would be great for reference tracks to provide to an artist or any producer who needs a vocalist but doesn't have time or money for one. Oh and Come with me if you want to live is from Arnold Schwarzenegger in his role as the Terminator.
You can see that ai daw can make miracles when you get these vocals, and transform to something really nice to ear. Thx for giving us this tutorial man you deserve way more subs.
completely agree, i shared the video with several colleagues and non-musician friends and we jointly admire the possibilities as well as the user-friendly way the video was recorded- Many thanks for creating this tutorial.
Helpful video. I've been using ACE for about three weeks and am getting some decent results. I would recommend adjusting the consonant length at the start and end of words to get clearer vocals. I find this is key to a good sounding and understandable track.
I don’t get why most of them don’t do student plans, or plans for amateurs who don’t get any money from it. I’m a student and all of this is way too expensive for me 🤷♂️
You are right, but not as you might expect. This makes generic vocals and lyrics irrelevant quickly. We are going back to when music was about telling stories, touching humans and provoking all kinds of emotions. Typically, in modern dance and electronic music, these emotions are triggered by melody, sound design and such. But I'd love for music to become less "something that is playing while you nod your head or dance" and more "something you actually LISTEN to"! The whole AI thing is very capable of producing something that humans perceive as natural and fitting, but falls apart really quickly when you bisect it (and actually listen). Not even the robotic voice (because that could also be a design choice, much like the over-usage of autotune these days). But more because there is no 'life' there.
@@travelan Yes I agree with you on this. The biggest change for music industry with this is the fact that people can most likely use this in the future to fake their own voice and pretend to be something that they aren't. There's alot of new and young producers who won't be able to blow up with their music because it used to be pretty difficult to get an singer for your songs. Now they got a whole new way to make unique vocals, samples, hooks etc that used to be expensive and hard to get If they themselves doesn't have the skills. Very interesting but I have no idea how much this software costs. Nothing on their website and the require to login to even try their software. So how much does this cost?
I am very interested in trying out acestudio. I know there is a free trial but any software or service that hides the price up front always turns me off. Aside from that, this is a good video. Thanks.
When doing the vocal to vocal, would you say it matters much less the microphone used for the original recording? Or is that just as important as it’s always been? It seems like it matters less. Thanks!
Should definitely try get your hands on a computer or laptop, my brother started uses FL studio when he was 13, he couldn’t afford to buy it, so for 3 years he just used the trial version (which allows you to save you projects but you can’t re open them unless you have the full version). This pushed him to create music extremely fast, so that he could export them to mp3 within one session, when he finally did get the full version he had mastered the software to a high level by then
It's a wonderful time to be alive. I have been sequencing songs from "Yanni Voices," most of which are in Italian. DOH! It only does English, Japanese, and Chinese.

From what I've seen, there is Text-to-Speech vocals that can be assigned pitch. It can be effective for some users, but this tool might be what a lot of people complain about with AI synthesized vocals lacking emotion. The other alternative is human vocals that can be rendered with an AI synthesized vocalist. That option still requires a vocalist to practice breathing and pitch/tone techniques. I do think this option is an effective tool.
Back in mid 2022 I was messing around with text to speech and then coaxing it into some kind of shape be throwing it into revoice pro with my singing voice as a guide. It was hugely labour intensive with often unpredictable and mixed results but I did manage to get some emotion out of it. That clunky technique was soon outstripped by the better programs now available and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting better things to do with their time.
Is there any similar AI app/plugin but for instruments? I'd like to turn my poorly played acoustic guitar sounds into something a bit better for my demos lol
I just bought a year sub to ACE. I'm very impressed. I have songs where I had to engage a work for hire vocalists through Fivver (they did outstanding work) but it takes time and the cost adds up. Now with all the songs I've created over the years, I can take them out of my 'mothball fleet' of tunes and in real time create vocals by exporting a midi file of the lead vocal melody from the DAW, drop it into ACE and type in the words. I'm really having a lot of fun with it and hope to publish several songs very soon. Sometimes you have to type the word exactly as it's phonetic spelling because the outcome is not always right on with exact English spellings even though the words are part of it's vocabulary.
Thanks for this vid, I didn't think to make the midi in FL. I've been struggling to get it right and line things up. It's a little slow making small changes and waiting for the AI to render. Getting the positions and timing sorted first will save loada of time.
