Seems MG denied to Pay Overdrive for the review .. I have seen the car twice and it is currently best in class (still though we need to wait for the price range - 16 - 20 it seems) . means atleast 3 - 4 lacs less than Jeep. The boot is 570 Litre means bigger than any of the rivals and he is trying to find flaws in that .. funny. The build is solid and there is no gaps in the edges. The wheel is small definitely and bigger wheels would look better seeing the size of the car but little research will show that for indian roads 16 - 17 inches wheel are the best... It is built with strong material and you can feel it as soon as you open the door .. it is heavy .. the sunroof in panoramic and huge in size. The back actually looks great and sporty and goes perfectly with the overall look. Mr. Overdrive we look for reviews for right reviews and not for biased reviews to sell Hyundai or Jeep or Tata . Expected a much better review .. disheartened and also lost faith .. SAD

Decently covered all the aspects in your review. However there are few points where I differ from your analysis.
1. Rear seat comfort : I sat in the top end model of both Tata Harrier and MG Hector for almost equal duration of time. MG Hector seats creates a discomfort when you sit for a longer time. Also, when you stretch your legs the angle between your foot and your leg is ergonomically not good. What that means is you will have to keep shifting your legs back and forth throughout the journey. Tata Harrier's back seats are better in comfort.
2. The infotainment system : The connectivity issue in India is a big problem. Airtel 4G internet speeds are not consistent at locations outside major cities and in smaller cities. That might throw away the worth of that infotainment system. If someone is purchasing the SUV just for infotainment system, I would suggest to value it's worth yourself. However with other vehicles, you can connect your smartphone with the car and it provides all the necessary features. Also, viewing video over that screen is distracting while driving and may be harmful So utility wise, it is more of tech gimmick by MG.
3. Car Repair and Parts: Since MG has just entered in the Indian market, any replacement of parts due to any reason might take time due to less number of production facilities in India. The servicing and repair cost would be higher as we can be seen with other foreign automobile manufacturers such as Volkswagen. Also, if the car is stuck at a remote location, no local mechanic would be able to provide any 'jugaad'.
These are the few points which takes away the absolute YES for the SUV. However, it is a very competitive SUV in this range, and the features are exciting on the first glance.
To clarify the last part in point 2, you cannot drive with a video playing on the infotainment system. It was shown by Faisal Khan in his review of the hector. When you want to watch a video, the handbrake or the E-brake must be in action. If you lower the handbrake, a warning will be displayed and the video will not be played as long as the handbrake is down.

There is a reason they gave 17 inch wheels as hector originally comes in 7 seated outside India , to give it a mpvish look and not to further increase its price by giving 18 or 19 inch wheels would drive the cost more , even the Innova Crystal to give that stance gives even smaller 16 inch wheels to deliver the gap between the wheels and the fenders

Just don't understand the concept of different quantity of airbags as you go higher in variant. Safety should be the top priority and all variants should have 6 airbags.

Yess 2019 model tyres looked bad..But in 2021 Hector facelift, there is 215 / R18 and it looks much better in looks and while driving.

I don't know how you got such an important information so wrong... the base variant DOES NOT have the touch screen in all trims...it comes with a full of buttons dashboard for music and AC controls.
