Thank you for a simple and not over the top review. Content is more mature now. Rohan is refreshing as always. About the car..now iam even more confused between the harrier, compass and this. Please do a comparison between them.
Those who are complaining saying that it's Chinese product what about your phone's ? Majority of us are using Chinese phones .There is nothing wrong about it.If competition is not there how the heck we are going to get great products ?. Common guys don't keep narrow mind set.

Buy MG rather than Tata i will say Atleast about Tata ,After owning 5 years Safari storme,Tatas service centers services are so bad, And even in vehicle also there is always some problem is going on after solving one second another problem is rise up,
So except from Tata buy anything like Mahindra, Hyundai or This MG also,
Or else if you have high budget blindly buy Toyota Innova and be in piece of mind forever.
Same. Had tata first. Continuous problems. Then bought a xuv500 thinking it will be better and because of the features. Again back to back problems. Now finally i decided no more experimenting and got an Innova Crysta and very happy with the purchase because of it's reliability, quality and extremely low service costs.

Also you can always talk about highway or city in which are you driving .. it adds to the context.

@@powerdriftofficial because comrade if we compare it to harrier the base varient of harrier which is around 12 lakh is empty in terms of features... So i think the varient you are showing will be start from 21-22 ex not the base i think base will start from 14-15 mark.....and harrier have also increase the price around 30k......i will be totally agianst if company sell it for loss in india market to attract customers...bez it's very difficult to sustain in a sales declining market(india) as of now.... another point id they sell cheap maybe they bite customers in after sales service... that's my view thank you comrade😉

Great review! It looks really broad, how is the body roll?
It learns by listening how you talk to it does that mean it take time for it to understand a new voice after sometime? You demoed a bunch of people testing it out but if it does understand others quickly, then its quite contrary to what you said that it wouldn't understand when kids yell 'Hello MG'.
Can it understand commands from all the passengers of the car? A test from back seat would have been interesting.
It's rather about how one calls it. It can detect if it's being called or if it's being referred in a sentence, or if someone is just trying to toy with it!
While there's some body roll, the first drive wasn't the place where we could test it.
The comprehensive review should answer all your questions, comrade!

I swear, the moment Rohan started talking about the Voice Assist Commands & its functions, the video started buffering right away through the entire part, which again brings us to the most important point, that no matter how smart or capable our car or phone is, apparently when we need them the most, the internet reminds us about -'Who's the BOSS'
I believe the voice commands are processed locally in the car, since it has to understand only 100 commands.

“Hello MG” is a good addition but for me the handling is something that breaks the deal for me. Precise steering feedback is something I always want so I can push my car further and further.

MG Hector is a smartphone on wheels. Due to excessive electronics in MG Hector, you may never know when they would break down hence I would still go to Tata Harrier.

Some website is showing estimated prices starting from 10.9 L (Petrol) onward for base variant. Which is quite aggressive and disruptive. But SMART variant showing price tag of 13.5 L (Petrol) and 14.5 L (Diesel), which is 50 k more than harrier base variant. Since Smart variant is having i-smart system, which is actually the USP of hector so MG should cleverly keep it's price near or below harrier base price. I wish if SMART variant is near 12.5 L then it would be real killer for harrier, compass and in fact Creta will also die.
Although 3 big disadvantages i see are (1) MG is very new to India so all new vehicle first need to prove Indian driving conditions (2) More gadgets and electronics comes with more issues and troubles, need to see how reliable it's electronics are (3) After sales service and support is still questionable.

The hector is equipped with a b pillar on the sides, which helps in side collisions. And doors are thick and whole body is steel
For advanced safety there is :
1. Abs
2.Electronic Brake Distribution(EBD)
3. Airbags(6)
4.Traction control
5.Hillclimb assist.
What more do you need 😍💕

Hey PD! You said that Hector's car quality is not at the same level as Creta. Does that mean Creta has higher car quality than Hector? Convention suggests that you are saying Hector's less qualified than Creta. But my mind is not ready to acknowledge that. Could you please confirm that to remain the ambiguity? Nice review and reviewer as always.
Creta- like most Hyundai cars- feel a little more premium than competition.

MG(morris garage) british company hold by chinese company SAIC. So this is a chinese product???
SAIC just owned MG brand name only. You can see SAIC brand name even in all glass. I checked this car in UAE to buy. Then I came to know it is not a UK car. And it hold pathetic resale value. Literally no one buy this car in second hand market.

Gearbox, it should be good, engine noise, it should be good, steering, it should be good...oh wait I am actually driving it so it’s good. :) The only thing this car will do is force competition to innovate and raise the bar on what they currently offer. It’s good for the consumer and there isn’t much for the brand other than being a tertiary choice.
