  • MG Motor launched the MG Hector facelift at the 2023 Auto Expo. We’ve now spent some time with to bring you a detailed look at all the new additions to this SUV. The prices of the revised Hector start at Rs 14.73 lakh and top out at Rs 22.43 lakh (all ex-showroom). The facelifted Hector and Hector Plus come with a redesigned face, a new infotainment system, and more importantly, it now supports level 2 autonomy.
The highlight of the Hector facelift is the huge grille inspired by the Argyle design. Additionally, it gets redesigned headlight and taillight units elements, new daytime running lights, a fresh pair of front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, and new Hector lettering on the boot.
The Hector facelift now features a new tablet-like 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. With this, MG has also redesigned the dashboard and centre console, which now comes with a new gear stick.
A significant addition is that the Hector facelift now comes with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It boasts 11 ADAS features. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, new smart turn signals, powered boot opening and closing, a digital driver display, and connected car features, among others.
The Hector facelift continues to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol with 143PS and 250 Nm and the 2.0-litre diesel making 170PS/350 Nm. Both get a six-speed manual while the petrol can also be had with a CVT, which is what we are driving here.

Love the fact that the OD reviews mostly start with the Drive and the cosmetic/features bit is not continuous in a long boring usual speak on how pretty the touch screen is etc etc. I find OD reviews quite objective and fun to watch as an enthusiast

High time MG introduces a diesel automatic for the Hector. It will pack a punch against competition.
