"Once your used to being scared.. you let a lot of bad stuff happen to you.." .. Dude, Story of my life right there.. wish I had to not be scared a lot sooner in my life..
+bob Reno - Can't say that I may be the perfect role model, but for me.. I just stopped.. I decided to not be that way.. and was upbeat and out there and pretended not to be scared.. and then one day? I truly wasn't scared..
You know, you've already had interesting content on the channel. But now, this video series it's just gorgeous! Please, make more). I'm really looking forward to see the battle for Nar-Shadaa in Legends (when the smugglers fought with the Empire).
And here I was thinking that little maneuver happened between Episode V and VI, wherein Lando would've been in with the Rebels and THEN shot up the ladder in typical Alliance fashion. Still, that was a clever scheme. And, your narration style? LOVE IT!
69th Attempt Yuuzhan Vong v. Reapers * this comment is a shout-out to my boi Osirus3296 * also Eck or anyone for that matter don't be afraid to comment on what I could change in the matchup
So you're new to the business of attempting, eh? Here are the rules, as first started by It's Ya Boi Daniel: * Attempt count must be over 100 before the Doge Master may view you versus episode as "postable" * Should Eck choose to have you make a change to it, you must submit to his will as he is our Lord and Savior on RUclips * Rules for the match-up must be posted every 5 or so videos
Okay so this was perfect. You nailed the cadence of Lando's voice without losing your own individuality. I'm starting to consider you the best Star Wars RUclipsr of them all
3 of those ships near the top at 1:18 look just like the Viper MK 2 from Battlestar Galactica, and the 3 at the top look like Sphyrna-Class Corvette AKA the Hammerhead Corvette from Rogue One.
Lando’s Tips on winning a Space Battle: 1.) Call a bunch of Pirate Ships “Rusty Gunships” 2.) Swindle your way through to the Moon’s Ice Rings. 3.) Wait for the Opportune Moment. 4.) Set up TRAPs with Nets 5.) Sit Tight And let those Asteroids RIIIIP!!! 6.) Rack up 19 Kills 7.) Let the Natives mop up the rest. 8.) Win the Battle and Refuse to be a Militiaman to but more Drinks! 9.) (Optional) Become a Baron who is a man of responsibilities on Cloud City on Bespin!
I love these tributes to the Extended Universe. So many treasured memories, even from something so small as the silhouette of a ship. A note: I like the reading of excerpts from the source material, but it'd be nice to have a line on the screen saying where it's from. Don't need page numbers, just which book :-)
This part from the Essential Guide has no real other source material AFAIK. Maybe one of the old Fact Files, but this battle never got an official story.
Well, I see you noticed my request from the like you dropped on my last one, and I thank you for at least reading it. Still, I'm gonna keep copy/pasting it until a video on it comes out, because I like counting. Ahem... I know this would be difficult, but can you breakdown what is by far the largest space battle in the whole franchise? *The* *Battle* *of* *Yuuzhan'tar!* I have made this request: nineteen times.
Pleaaaaaase do more videos like this if you can find the writing. I would love to see . One mostly being the Battle of Alderaan from The Old republic (if such writing exists). If not, just that battle, seems interesting
Loved your vid and how you changed things up to keep it fresh! As an idea, why don’t you do the either the first or second battle of Geonosis (or any other engagement), but as if you were a clone logging the day’s events and progress like such?
Tag was the real winner of the Battle of Tanaab, but Lando Calrissian keeps taking credit for it as a pickup story. And when Lando tells Tag that there is nothing he can say that can convince him to let Tag and Bink hide in Cloud City after being chased by Boba Fett, all it takes is Tag saying "Battle of Tanaab" to convince him.
Finally, i allways want to learn more about Landos "Little Maneuver", for he is one of the alliance most underrated strategist. I love seeing him comand in the legends bookss (like the defens of coruscant against the vong). Wait did thoses pirates used mark 2 Vipers?
the guy may not be my first pick for general but given how he already had a reputation for pulling off crazy maovers that always worked better then the didn't, and the fact he was know to work well under pressure with vary little usable equipment and able to juggle an entire colony on his own I int surprised. besides he is also as smooth as his pressed cloths he probably did some sweet talking to get there as well.
Makes me wonder why connor net technology is not developed more to the point where it starts to replace blasters as a weapon hardpoint. It seems all you need are a fast, maneuverable delivery system (missile) and a bulk area delivery system (chaff) and most fleets battles would be won in a few minutes based on who was left active after the initial net barrage.
Can we get a Halo lore video on the Human-Forerunner war? It’s literally the most interesting thing to me out of all the sci-fi universes. And even more interesting would the the Forerunner-Precursor war, but there’s barely any info at all on that.
Can we please get a break down for the Darksaber battle from the Dark Saber crisis. I know it's not a big battle but it's a funny story. Thank you for the great videos. You're the best
Hell Lando, I'd buy you a whole bottle! Also, another attempt for The Final battle of the Macross Frontier Fleet (preferably the tv series version, but mixing it and the movie version is fine)
Think you can do a comparison video? Who's the more effective soldier 'A Pilot and there TITAN' from the TITANFALL series or 'A Spartan II (possibly with an AI)' from the Halo series
Pilot & Titan for life their* Who's the more effective soldier, a Pilot with a Titan from the Titanfall series, or a Spartan II with an AI from the Halo series*
Masso 2010 Hmmm... I think a Spartan is a more effective infantry unit, but a Pilot/Titan pair is much more versatile, because their combined skill means they can cross any environment.
It's Ya Boi Daniel The mobility advantage would help but, unless the pilot was exceptionally skilled, it would probably be negated by a Spartan's ability to aim. IMO: Spartan beats Pilot Titan beats Spartan Pilot/ Titan combo is a more effective unit.
would love to see you do a battle break down of the big battle at the end of the han solo origin trilogy. For some reason I had a lot of trouble following the battle when reading it.
Yeah... He turned down Marshall of a planetary Defense Force... Becomes pne the best and top Generals of an Intergalactic Rebellion across hundreds or thousands of planets... Maybe Vader should've rethought rethinking their deal
Best Transforming fighter: VF-11 thunderbolt from Macross plus vs the Union Flag from Gundam 00 vs the Viking from StarCraft vs the Mecha Tengu from Command and Conquer vs the Legioss from Genesis Climber mospeda.
I honestly didn't know anything about this other than the throwaway line from ROTJ and so I thought it may have been featured in Solo - boy, was I wrong!?
DonkeyHub YT Because, at that point, the Covenant was still united. After the war, they were broken. And if the Vong attacked them during the war, that would be much worse, cause you're fighting 2 enemies at once.
Daniel Kurghinyan Those ships were all common models of freighter. What made the ships you had listed special was all of their modifications, and their pilots.
Almost no ships in the star wars universe are unique, most of the ships mentioned by you9 are all very common models of ships. For instance the Millennium Falcon was a YT-1300f light freighter, and was very commonly used among smugglers.
Idea: do an episode where you describe your “perfect fleet”, with access to ships from Star Wars, Halo, Mass Effect, and/or other sci-if universes. (6th try)
A reminder that this is NOT original writing, it's from the New Essential Guide to Warfare (p.177), which I highly recommend.
EckhartsLadder i like how one of the pirateship silhouettes is an AT-AT upside down lol 🤣🤣🤣
To me, it looked like the Outrider.
why is ghost in the battle
Ah Lando, that slick son of a b***h. I wonder if he still owns that brewery.
Zeus killer productions same
"Once your used to being scared.. you let a lot of bad stuff happen to you.." .. Dude, Story of my life right there.. wish I had to not be scared a lot sooner in my life..
Lore Reloaded damm.
+bob Reno - Can't say that I may be the perfect role model, but for me.. I just stopped.. I decided to not be that way.. and was upbeat and out there and pretended not to be scared.. and then one day? I truly wasn't scared..
Wins massive battle
*Uses it for drinks*
And as a good bar story!
...Which probably also gets him free drinks. ;D
So he started the battle for a single dring, got the drink, a brewery and a story to get free drinks forever? i say that's a win,
Herman Cillo Very true
“There was one pilot right there on Tanaab who could do it. And I don’t have to tell you that was do I?”.....”no he wasn’t there”
Lol
Story time with Eck? COUNT ME IN
Excellent acting, Eckharts. I always imagined that the Battle of Taanab was like this! Well done!
>Space battle.
>Win by using nets.
>ground battle
>win by using strong cables (hoth)
>Death Star right in front of you
>Yavin IV In serious danger
>Space Ski Ball
>Win
Now look at this net...
I mean that's kinda what Sato's brother did too so yeah
>Pincered between a rock, a fleet and a zappy place.
>Banzai the fleet
>Rout them for some reason
>Fly inside the zappy thing and blow that up too.
Sounds like Lando, as good as Han and classy to boot. Loved it Eckhart, keep it up buddy.
Landos tale about Taanab is a tale that is one of my most favorite in the Star Wars Universe! Thanks for doing a Battle Breakdown vid on it Eck! :)
You know, you've already had interesting content on the channel. But now, this video series it's just gorgeous! Please, make more).

69th Attempt
Yuuzhan Vong v. Reapers
* this comment is a shout-out to my boi Osirus3296
* also Eck or anyone for that matter don't be afraid to comment on what I could change in the matchup
AngelBeatz he can’t say no to 69!
That's silly, because SW and ME universes are on a very different power level.
So you're new to the business of attempting, eh? Here are the rules, as first started by It's Ya Boi Daniel:
* Attempt count must be over 100 before the Doge Master may view you versus episode as "postable"
* Should Eck choose to have you make a change to it, you must submit to his will as he is our Lord and Savior on RUclips

I feel the reapers would be cleaned up
Okay so this was perfect. You nailed the cadence of Lando's voice without losing your own individuality. I'm starting to consider you the best Star Wars RUclipsr of them all
Now all we need is to get the real Lando to read this and I've got myself a good ass audio recording
Such a cool way of putting this battle to visual! Thank you very much, Eck!
3 of those ships near the top at 1:18 look just like the Viper MK 2 from Battlestar Galactica, and the 3 at the top look like Sphyrna-Class Corvette AKA the Hammerhead Corvette from Rogue One.

Eckhart, Perfect impersonation of Lando. Perfect breakdown as well.
Thanks for explaining this "little maneuver" I've been wondering about for some time. Also, did anyone else see the Viper Mk.2s at 1:14?
Maybe lol
Lando: Now look at this NET
BC-304 USS Odyssey (Stargate series, pre-Unending) vs SR-2 Normandy. Transporters not used.
Love this style vid Eck! More please!!

EckhartsLadder Yea I saw your pinned comment; it was just a thought for the future :-)
I'm pretty sure one of the old Galaxy Guides or sourcebooks first mentioned it. Galaxy Guide 5, I think?
Reminds me of still being upset that Lando isn't in the sequel trilogy. :(
Darth Vanquish you dont even need wardrobe. Billy Dee wears an ascot lady luck bless him.
Not appearing in the sequels is the only thing keeping the character alive...
Darth Vanquish There is rumors that he will be in episode 9. Billy has been training alot, and he has lost weight
Remember the "past has to die to make room for the new" crap of last jedi, its better he was not in the new triology.
Darth Vanquish we feel you bro
Another great video about a fantastic character thank you good sir!🎩
Hey Eck can you do a faction comparison of light vehicles??? Such as Ghost, mongoose, AT-RT, chopper, 74-Z speeder, Grievous’ bike. Etc.
Way cool! I loved how you did this battle.
I think this is my favorite video of yours Eck
This was so fun to watch and listen to. That ol' smoothie.
Anyone else notice the colonial vipers at 1:14?
Well, I see you noticed my request from the like you dropped on my last one, and I thank you for at least reading it. Still, I'm gonna keep copy/pasting it until a video on it comes out, because I like counting.

I have made this request: nineteen times.
Break down the battle when Hylo broke the Mandalorian blockade! That battle was DOPE!
Maybe you could breakdown battles from the Star Trek universe? I would love to see a breakdown of the battle of Wolf 359.
great video mate, please do a dreadnought comparison between each star wars faction that would be awesome
. Keep up the great work.
I love how you did this!
Pleaaaaaase do more videos like this if you can find the writing. I would love to see . One mostly being the Battle of Alderaan from The Old republic (if such writing exists). If not, just that battle, seems interesting
This will be called the Lando Manuever
Loved your vid and how you changed things up to keep it fresh! As an idea, why don’t you do the either the first or second battle of Geonosis (or any other engagement), but as if you were a clone logging the day’s events and progress like such?
Best video yet ecks.

So that's what the Battle of Taanab was. Thanks, I had always wondered.
There might be a new version of it someday. There was even speculation it would pop up in Rebels at one point.
Finally, i allways want to learn more about Landos "Little Maneuver", for he is one of the alliance most underrated strategist. I love seeing him comand in the legends bookss (like the defens of coruscant against the vong).
Wait did thoses pirates used mark 2 Vipers?
Are those Colonial Vipers in the pirate fleet?

this is great..now I know what happened...thanks for the tactics..
Such a Lando moment

Funny, the pirates main crusier looks like a klingon battlecrusier from star trek
That's a Marauder-class corvette.
It looks like a Klingon Vor’cha or a Ferengi Marauder
It's appeared in the Han Solo Adventures, X-Wing Alliance, and Empire at War - where it's used as a Rebel 'missile cruiser'.
Ok thanks for the information
Nice Story Eckharts :) greetings from Germany :D I love your videos
Mistakes at the battle of geonosis and great video!
Imperial stormtrooper sw vs imperial guardsman 40k vs a red shirt st vs a grunt halo who will win this free for all?
Christian Blanchard everyone misses but everyone still dies
@@craigbrown04 nah, guardsman hits, but it doesn't do anything.
Did you guys know that eckhartsladder has an amino? Well he does!
Eck, how long does it take you to make these awesome videos? Man
Weelllll what do we have here. An Eck upload!
Wow, I really enjoyed that
Lando is the epitome of suave
Can we get a Halo lore video on the Human-Forerunner war? It’s literally the most interesting thing to me out of all the sci-fi universes. And even more interesting would the the Forerunner-Precursor war, but there’s barely any info at all on that.

well, it seems I've been missing out on this debate. now my friend, where were we? on the agree to disagree, or do we just keep going?
would love to see you do a battle break down of the big battle at the end of the han solo origin trilogy. For some reason I had a lot of trouble following the battle when reading it.
The background noises were great while you told the story
So, the Norulac Pirate fleet included BSG Vipers, huh? :)
Eckharts thought we wouldn't notice, but we did.
Only Lando would make a battle a drinking oppertunity
I tell you, if I had the money, I'd hire Billy Dee Williams to dress up like Lando, sit in a bar set, and tell this story to a bar fly.
Good ol' Lando
And +1 for narration
You missed a oppertunity you could end the video with a typical star wars end credit song you know the usual
I see those Colonial Vipers in that pirate fleet
Yeah... He turned down Marshall of a planetary Defense Force...
Becomes pne the best and top Generals of an Intergalactic Rebellion across hundreds or thousands of planets...
Maybe Vader should've rethought rethinking their deal
Nice imitation of Lando
T-70 X-Wing VS E-Wing
I first saw the Millennium Falcon or Falcom, but it was just an ordinary YT freighter.
Best vid ever 😀😀😀
Keep up the good work
Wow that was a fun vid!
Can you make a video on the chancellor class star destroyer please
btw 44 views 67 likes?
I think this versus might be very interesting to do:
Grand Admiral Thrawn vs Lord Solar Macharius (WH40k)
The eternal dankness is coming
Best Transforming fighter:
VF-11 thunderbolt from Macross plus vs the Union Flag from Gundam 00 vs the Viking from StarCraft vs the Mecha Tengu from Command and Conquer vs the Legioss from Genesis Climber mospeda.
I honestly didn't know anything about this other than the throwaway line from ROTJ and so I thought it may have been featured in Solo - boy, was I wrong!?
Try #1: You should do a video on the battle that saw the capture of the Lusankya Super Star Destroyer (I think it was a battle at least)
That was fucking fantastic mate
I love this channel
The Yuuzhan Vong vs the Covenant
Bruce Jedi Lee you would have to chose what time in the covenant reign because it was strongest before the battle of reach
That one random Kid I will leave that up to him
I'd go with the height of the Covenant Empire, which would have probably been before the Human-Covenant War
Josh Wilson before how?
DonkeyHub YT Because, at that point, the Covenant was still united. After the war, they were broken.
And if the Vong attacked them during the war, that would be much worse, cause you're fighting 2 enemies at once.
So, why are there the Falcon, the Ghost and tge Outrider in the pirate fleet? It really confuses me
Daniel Kurghinyan Those ships were all common models of freighter. What made the ships you had listed special was all of their modifications, and their pilots.
Yeah. What he said -_-
And Lando's ship appears to be a YT-1760.
Almost no ships in the star wars universe are unique, most of the ships mentioned by you9 are all very common models of ships. For instance the Millennium Falcon was a YT-1300f light freighter, and was very commonly used among smugglers.
Do a 40k Battle please!
Idea: do an episode where you describe your “perfect fleet”, with access to ships from Star Wars, Halo, Mass Effect, and/or other sci-if universes.
(6th try)
Yuuzhan vong world ship vs high charity maybe and it’s fleet
With respect to Adm Thrawn, conner nets would only work with an adversary who is: A) overly aggressive; or B) not very bright.
Yo yo yo wuz good, keep deez vids goin’, they’re AMAZING!!!!
Random Content 2 tf
You should do the battle of the two luckerhulks battleships in outbound flight
Do a breakdown of the battle between the Elite fleet and the Brute Fleet over the Ark in Halo 3
What is next making the kessle run in 12 parsecs?
How about for your next versus match you do the mammoth mk2 from command and conquer vs the AT-AT?
once again Lando takes the credit from Tag. when is he gonna get his own stories
"This deal is getting worse all the time!" - Lando
Could you cover the Defense of Mon Calimari/Dak during Dark Empire Conflict?
There's Ebon Hawk up there too!!!
I'm 2 years later but that's the YT-2400 not the dynamic class freighter (Ebon Hawk)
