Love this.. there’s just something about film. Makes London look more beautiful than it already is.
Cheers Marc! There’s just something special about film!
Being an old guy who is more comfortable with film than digital it is good to see you use a film camera. That need to anticipate a photo because you don’t get to see what you actually took until it’s developed. Loved your photos, well taken. Loved your explanation to those tourists of what a film camera is.
Thank you Ian! It’s refreshing to learn and use something new and the whole process made it that much more enjoyable. I didn’t have high hopes for the photos in all honesty as it was my first time using this camera out and about so I was very happy with the results!
Amazing shots Sam glad that you finally decided to try analog photography I am looking forward to see more videos like this one
Keep the urban vibes alive …
lol u inspired me to do my own street photography and its damn fun
The shot in front of Burberry is sick
Glad you like to dude 🙏 when you starting film 😉
@@Opticalwander haha going to need some more cash to do that first, film isn't cheap 😅
I really liked it. Shooting film makes you stand out from all of the other streets photographers
I'm obsessed with the film look, so good.
Smashed it Sam, top shots as ever. I have a Mamiya 7 and it`s quite possibly the best portable medium format camera i`ve ever owned. If you get the chance mate go play with one :)
Amazing video Sam!! Watching you using film is so much fun and makes me want to try it haha! The shot you got on regent street with the wooden windows in the back is unreal!!
Glad you liked it Tom! If you get the chance try picking up a film camera it’s so much Fun!!
Not sure if its the film look or that you took your time for each photo, but man those photos look great!
You made me want to take my slr for a spin....
well done nice one! 75 newbee!!
Can you make video about how you edit your pictures and how you opload Them to Instagram.
Great video. Love those povs. What film stock did u use?
Not 100% as Seb gave the roll too me once he replies I’ll let you know 🙏
Can't wait for the new merch!!!
Wow seriously these photos look so dame good. Feeling the need to go old school. Great video mate
Have a look at an olympus 0m2 you can a good one for £150 plus a 50mm 1.7 or splash for the 1.4, always get your cash back, the glass knocks most modern lens into dust,75 newbee.
Be careful. Film cameras can become an obsession. Trust me.
😂😂 too late 😂😂
Wow Sam you took me back to my teenage years shooting with film🤣 the joy or disappointment when you got the photos back and seeing how them came out🔥🔥🇬🇧
Exactly! It’s that not knowing which I love! I genuinely thought I had messed so many of these up but they came out great. There was one photo I took by mistake I wasn’t even recording and it was of my hand 😂 the beauty of the process!
Hey Sam beautiful video! Just one question tho, did you get the photos digitalised or did you do that yourself? thanks!
i got it done by aperture printing in London :)
Interesting
That camera are humongous big
Amazing, love this..
really cool to see you try film!
Love your video as always and the shots you took were amazing! I have an Olympus AF-35mm Film Camera Point and Shoot. I took some shots with it but I haven’t got them developed yet so I don’t know whether or not they are good lol
I’m super new to film, this camera looks great! How about movies on it? Is that only 1080p or can it do 4K? It looks sick!
Fun to watch you try film. Did not really see that coming tbh. The photos turned out great too!
That Nikon looks sick! I know the look of a camera doesn’t matter too much, but still, that is a nice looking camera!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Honestly the Nikon is so practical for me to carry around as well in comparison to this medium format. So cannot wait to use it more 🙏
🔥 as always 🔥
Thank you 🙏
POV in Germany 🇩🇪 please ❤️
Those were really nice photos! I wonder how they were converted to digital without losing the quality. Was it just scanned with a regular scanner or a negative scanner?
It was scanned by the company that developed them they sent them to me via a folder. So not 100% sure.
nice video!!!
which camera did you use?
First italian 😎
Weekend 📸challenge ?
I will like to do one photo battle challenge , if you want for this Saturday what is coming. 👍
Men you missed that shot when a person was leaning against a wall with a great background 6:34
Came to read the comments if anyone else saw that :D
too busy talking haha
First🤫
Sam did you get some look down reels for this? They bang views
What action camera are u using..?
GoPro 10 🙏
i don’t know if it’s even possible but a long exposure light trail may be cool if it is possible. i don’t know anything about film photography so don’t rip into me too bad 🤣
Filmband
new challenge : you can only take 30 photos per video with sony a7 4
Great idea 🙏
Aye
e
i like your povs, but personaly film pov is a bit boring......
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea 🙏
No offence bro, but you did completely stupid thing by exchanging medium format for crap Nikon. You could just get a metered prism for bronica and have those beautiful medium format photos.
I disagree, try fitting this huge camera plus my camera into one bag to travel with. Yes on paper it’s a better camera but the user experience is more important imo
@@Opticalwander Lots of people including myself travelling with that camera and feel no pain. I have travelled with Mamiya C2 that is much heavier than Bronica ETRS. The most important thing in film photography is that when you scanning or darkroom printing negatives you will get way less details out of 35mm film rather than from 6x4.5 or 6x6 or 6x7 or 6x9. Anyway, good luck. I believe that you will understand what I mean later and possibly get back to medium format.
@@IvarsDayLab I don’t think we have the same idea of travelling with gear so I’ll leave it at that. The Nikon f3 is a solid camera and great for what I want it for. Medium format is far too bulky and a main to lug around country to country on top of a full bag of vlog/editing gear
@@Opticalwander Good Luck 🤞
This comment is wrong in so many ways. Yes medium format produces wonderful images, but considering the size/weight - 35mm is a better option for fast paced street photography. Another thing is the amount of shots you get on a roll, for street photography I would choose 35mm film any day, I think you would find out why all most the famous street photographers used a 35mm camera (often a Leica), for its portability and discreet nature. Not everything is about the negative size, why is there suddenly this notion that 35mm film is crap - with a good lens, I can make huge darkroom prints with 35mm and not sacrificing much detail. And how on earth is the Nikon crap?
