Love your narrative as you process your options.. this video is both a joy to watch and a fab insight into how you process and decide how you want the shot to go.
As a local photographer in Edinbugh i often find myself getting bored etc, doing something like this defiantly helps to find new and interesting images.
Awesome stuff and great challenge! I have totally had a similar experience with cars. We bought a car one time and prior to getting it we never really saw them often (can't remember which car specifically) but then we started seeing them all the time after we bought ours'.
I'm surprised to didn't try using the advance filter, built into that camera, which will take black and white photos where the color red is the only "color" shown..... It shifts all other colors to monochrome, except anything colored red.
Enjoyed watching your process and you got some great shots. I think some of the scenes would have benefited from not having a person subject in the composition tho, to focus the subject on the colour and not the person. Great watch though, cheers.
I like when people just walking and don't mind what you shoot. They dont care if you shoot them... Where i live people look me weard if i took my camera ot and take some random picture. Not even them on the picture... ☹️
Don’t worry about them, they don’t know you and you don’t know them. What is the chance you will ever see them again in your life? If you live in a big city probably not, if you live in a town just let them know what you are doing and they will either accept you or not.
I think that one cool thing you can do in another 1 color photography (if you’ll ever do another one) is to make the 360 camera or the pov camera show normal footage but all the video is unsaturated except for the color that you have picked kinda like a cool effect for the viewer
I’m trying different formats, to see how the video performs. RUclips as a platform is changing for creators like me so a lot of us are trying new ways to help our videos be shown to people. This was only a trial of it to see if it helped or not. So your opinion is noted ❤️
Nice one Sam! You got it!! Well done and great work!
Thank you for taking on my challenge and I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Nice, I'm trying this tomorrow

Cool series man! These challenges are refreshing and i loved the photos too!
Excellent work as always dude! 👏🏻
Hey I’ll give it a shot I’ve just finished my exams looking forward to it 🎉
Nice switches between pov/insta etc
Thanks babe ❤️❤️
I loved this: what a great challenge .
Very nice idea!
I like this use of the 360 camera!
Great stuff and from a wonderful city.
Well that's given me some purpose to my trip to London on Saturday!
I love the 360 cameras in front as POV it’s amazing. I see you have one behind are you worried about someone stealing it
"One colour..." At first i had no clue, but its actually kinda fun. Definitely going to try this by myself 👍

Great video! Giving this challenge a go on my next day off 📸
Would love to know which film simulation you ended up using for this challenge. The colors work so well for the area you’re in! Great job!
Great video and interesting challenge Sam.
Mintolicious dude loved it, thank you.
Hey I'm thinking of getting a Fujifilm x100v what are your thoughts because i am mostly into film photography
Well executed

What Fuji recipe did you use for the photos?
Just one I made on the day that fitted the vibe I’ve changed it since so can’t remember what I did for the recipe.
@@Opticalwander I’ve just bought a Ricoh gr3 and love using recipes and trying to find different styles of recipes for different types of photography
You walked right past a red telephone box at the beginning..
Good video ❤
when you start looking for red oversudden everything comes in red , thats mad.
I think you misunderstood he meant you can't edit for example yellow to make it red because that'd be cheating but you could still edit ahah
You can edit, but you can’t change the colour of the subject. 😀
@@ryanlord yea that sounds better lol
So is the goal to have people in most of the pictures? Genuine question from a noob.

the subtitles are so annoying , YT generates them for those who need them so no idea why you put them on this vid ?

@@Opticalwander I understand that , hope you work it out . but I for one will not watch tic toc style vids with subtitles
สวัสดีครับ hello🇹🇭
Probably just me, I guessing your using a insta 360, but that point of view is making feel queasy 🤢 sorry can’t watch anymore…
It’s a nice angle to interject what if it wasn’t so wide? So I made it more stable with less movement etc.
