Great instructional video Robot. You inspired me to upgrade my Vespa Primavera 50 4T 3V which was 'gutless' until I added a variator upgrade and derestricted ECU. Happy days now !!
I watched one of your videos earlier today and you scuffed up the variator, I've watched probably 60 videos on changing out variators you're the first person I've seen to scuff them up. I took mine off the other day before I seen your video and actually had to scuff mine up because taking out the variator I messed up. Because mine is a Korean scooter. And the nut that attaches the variator is Left-Handed so it's opposite. But I scuffed mine up and it actually made mine feel like my belt got better traction so it's good to see that somebody else is on this.
I have a pcx 125 and keep watching your videos and you make things look so easy I’m close on trading for a GTS 300 over here in the uk. Thanks for posting. Ps think the cameraman needs to get autofocus 😂

So I bought this kit, and I installed it three times in a row in order to triple check my work. Every time it causes belt slap and the scooter makes a terrible racket when accelerating. Any suggestions on that? I really want the performance but I had to go back to stock before my belt destroyed its self.
Yeah I am quite sure it was installed correctly. I installed it again and ran it for a few days and then put it back to stock again as it just made too much noise. Maybe the noise is part of the deal with these high performance kits. Its makes quite a bit a difference off the line but lowered my top speed by about 3 MPH. Thanks for the reply.

sir have a question, i had my stock center springs replaced, from 800rpm to 1000rpm center springs, the stock had the same plastic on top of the spring, when i replaced it with the 1000rpm centee spring, the mechanic didnt put the plastic on the newer spring. is it ok to leave it like that? or does the centerspring need that same plastic installed ? hope i can get a reply from you thanks
now I know for sure hes not a professional/ 2 things. 2- YOU NEVER turn the variator backwards. screws up the timing chain. and 2 you always grease the inner part of the boss pin before it slides on the crank post. failed.
In gearless scooters, should we apply little bit of grease on round shaped rollers and roller-grooves in variator for smooth spinning of rollers in variator? Or will it make more issues after some time like dust deposit, sides of rollers get flat faster, vibrations will increase etc ? Please tell what should we do with proper reason.
Do not put grease on the rollers. Grease could actually hinder the proper movement of the roller and make it sticky. The material of the roller itself along with the shape of the cavity should be sufficient for proper operation. There are some performance rollers such as Malossi or Dr. Pulley that are made with different materials and shapes that may improve performance if that's what you're after.
I have a 2003 Piaggio LT50 being offered for a very good price, 4K miles on it. Can i get parts for it. I find so little info about it anywhere. Why get it if i can not get parts? I found cylinder kits and such. I mean fork springs and seals, front wheel bearings, that kind of thing. The stuff most people do not service - The little parts.
What we get with a large spring?. Well, large and i think harder than original. I would like reduce the Fuel consumption. I do not mind get out faster, only consumption. Harder, or softer?. Regards.
Harder tuning-type spring requires Kevlar Belt. Exchange out your original belt with a kevlar one. Also, harder springs means increase variator rolls weight. If you buy a full variator Kit like this Malossi, Try using the rollers that came with it. If the Scooter is slow on kickin in the variator, decease the weight on the rolls.

Hello from Turkey. I have yamaha xmax 250cc scooter. While i am changing oil, i used MOTUL 4T 10w40 mineral yağ. Problem is Everybody says use syentetic or half syentetic oil. So sould i change it quickly or?
