If I had a horde of horse archers heading towards me, and they started shouting some crazy Mongolian throat singing at me, I know that's just my life over.
these mongolians are very similar in appearance to the Filipinos and strangely enough, they never even invaded Philippines during their peak days. Makes me wonder that we too are a sub-branch of the medes/mongol family
There are times I wish the internet had never been invented and then there are times like when I'm listening to a Mongolian cover of an Iron Maiden song.
People act like rock music sucks now because we don't have bands as big as the Stones or the Beatles, but you can find a random band from Mongolia, Scandanavia or Greece who rock harder than any band you've ever heard of. They usually only have a few thousand views on youtube. We live in the best time for music, its just a more niche environment
@@bvyup2112 Yep. Rock 'n Roll isn't dead, far from it - it's just not mainstream anymore (and it only was briefly in the first place). Rock and Metal went from being played on the radio to being held up by small, dedicated communities, and that's ok. We know where to find the good shit.
Yes I agree, they pay omaj to the original band, and yet somehow leave the song almost as original but at the same time make it their own.. I don't know how they do it... but damnif I don't respect the hell out of them for doing it.
Can we please talk about those fucking solos being note for note accurate to the original, like omfg that was so incredible on a two stringed instrument I can't even process it. That was amazing, gentleman.
Saw them open for Maiden last night in Worcester Ma.. when they finished up I looked at the guy next to me and said I don't know what I just watched but it was awesome!! Everyone was speaking highly of them.. very unique n totally rocking
I think they will always sing in Mongolian because the producer is Mongolian who has so much knowledge in the culture. Also, if they sing in English, it just won't sound as good 😂. The Mongolian language is what makes it extra badass.
My wife turned me on to the HU. We saw them live in Seattle last year. Very cool. And we got to meet one of the band members after the show. Really nice guy. Fair English. Oh yea. My wife is from Mongolia.
I am studying Chinese history, and I have been reminded of the great influence of the Xiongnu and the Mongols many times. I was fascinated at first sight by the appearance and music of the powerful Mongolian men.
I discovered them during Corona and have been an absolute fan of them ever since. at the end of January I will finally get a tattoo on my back from them
The HU are most excellent. Not many people could do justice to an Iron Maiden song but The HU not only were able to pull it off, they made it rule just as Iron Maiden did. Bravo, gentlemen; I give you a standing ovation because it is extremely rare that I like cover songs but, by golly, you exceeded everyone's expectations! I'm very proud of you.
Whelp, The Protomen have been unseated for my favorite version of The Trooper. No disrespect to them since I really enjoy their 80s vibe they bring to it, but the texture of this version along with the unique instrumentation just brought the battle vibe out tenfold and I'm in love. Amazing work.
Saw them in St Paul on 10/22 with IM and Albany in a much smaller venue last night. They are fucking incredible. Empire Live really let them showcase their talent and sound. Amazing.

I’m going to Montreal and New York City next week to see Maiden. I’ve seen maiden 9 times. The opening act was generally not attended. I won’t miss these guys. I never really knew who the opening band was! (Pun intended). Though I kicked myself in Montreal in 2012, when I walked in and Alice Cooper was doing a Floyd cover…. I didn’t even know Alice was opening. Maiden arrogance maybe? 😅
I am 1:30 in and already I have goosebumps. THIS is how you cover a song. This isn't just a copy this is a retelling of a story through their own style without losing any of the essence of the original BUT staying true to their own style in the mix of it.... How they struck such a PERFECT balance is beyond belief. This is incredible.
Gonna be honest,in my opinion, this is the best cover of any song I have heard covered, save for maybe Johnny Cash's version of Nine Inch Nail's "Hurt."
@@johngavin1175 that's a great point! That is definitely a cover that would almost be more recognisable than the original. I think Disturbed - Sound of Silence is up there too, completely different example but I think it's hitting a new generation (but not quite like Hurt)
