Bravo! That was a nasty fall but he got up, gathered his things and marched on. A true soldier ❤
Love it
Congratulations to that trooper. Thrown from horse gets up and then marches onward.
💯👌👏👍
Hahah congratulations, doofus!
Congratulations to that trooper.OKEY.
Well done brave soldier,I’m sure that hurt and you proudly marched on like the trooper you are..💂🇬🇧
Horsey acted like he was going to rear but bucked instead.
Poor trooper hit the ground hard, but he jumped up, composed himself, and continued to march alongside his mates.
Bloody hell that hurt even I felt that
I bet he's a lot sorer than he let on, well done the way he composed himself.
That was a nasty fall. Brave soldier to get up and continue. Well done Sir
How was he still walking. I fell off my horse when it spooked in trot. I went one way and he the other and I landed on soil. I was winded so I bet he will be sore later but a trooper being a trooper, bravo for getting up and carrying on
Yep have a lot of admiration for that young man, he hit the tarmac hard.
Well he could be in terrible pain and not even show it cuz that's how they're trained
i watched this 12 times that horse did that on purpose! He timed that perfectly and literally said (GET OFF ME)!!!!!! glad the soldier was not hurt real bad
That horse went straight to the glue factory after this!
I doubt either that it's the first time that horse has bucked someone off. You don't really stand a chance on those saddles, it's like sitting on a nutshell 😂 I prefer to use a western saddle 😊
God forbid!!! It's not the horse's fault. Whoever trained him should have payed attention to his temperament. If the horse passed all of his training and made it to the guard. There also a lot of reasons a horse rears or in this instance bucks the rider off and none of them are the horse's fault. Bit pinching the inside of his mouth because the rider is pulling the reins too tight. Ill fitting saddle. I didn't notice if they were wearing spurs. Some rider's dig their spurs too hard into the poor horse's sides. The camera would have had to focus specifically on that horse and rider to be able to offer an intelligent argument as to the why. Etc etc etc @@solmoman
@@grasshopper1451 I thought spurs were banned as cruel and open to abuse, years ago. It was said that a horse is capable of responding to pressure of rider's legs, or eventually even vocal command. As also with bits, all the horses are tossing their heads in this vid continually, and with one of them it just got too much to bear, poor thing. I do hope it gets rewarded for all its previous service and not punished for one apparent 'misdemeanour'.
Of cause the horse did that on purpose. It's not the horses fault that humans use horses for our own entertainment.
True professional. Glad he's on our side.
Even the most trained horse can have a meltdown glad to see the soldier is ok so proud of them all
The police horses seem far more well trained.
@@Tellemore The police horses aren't 1/2 Thoroughbred. If they were, they'd be getting bounced all over the streets as well.
@@militarized_monk755neither are the Household Cavalry horses. They are mainly Irish Draught horses with some crosses( which are rarely thoroughbred )
@@militarized_monk755the police have lots of different breeds, I sold them a Hanoverian x TB some years ago
The difference is, the mounted police stay in that job for longer, whereas the Household Cavalry take complete novices, give them a few months training and transfer them into the Operational unit after two years
Ouch! That had to hurt. Hope both the Trooper and Horse are OK.
He is very lucky he was able to get up . I am sure is very sore .
Hard to believe the amount of head-tossing by these horses. They are unhappy, frustrated, and tense. I’ve been riding my whole life and have always enjoyed watching the King’s mounted regiments, but it seems there are some underlying issues that need to be addressed. I realize tradition is very important, but it’s time to reevaluate how much junk these horses and riders have to wear. Lose the double bridles. Take a look at the DPRK’s (of all countries!) mounted regiments in the big parades they have: The horses have the bare minimum tack, the riders wear simple, straightforward uniforms. The horses have plenty of personal space: at least 4 feet to either side and 8 feet or more front to back. The horses are happy, quiet and all at the same gait.
I think too much grain and not enough exercise, but that's just me
Thank goodness you said this. I've watched a few of these vids, and couldn't agree more. Time for updating UK ceremonial procedures involving horses, these traditions so outworn and old. Animal welfare so important these days. Sometimes footage is just downright disturbing, like those horses who threw their riders and ran for their lives through the streets of London just a few weeks ago. And we never really found out how they were afterwards. Who is going to make the changes - Charles? Time to lobby the King I reckon.
@barbarathomas2561 there are weekly updates, at least on my feeds. The horses are getting better as are the soldiers who were hurt. The minimumally injured soldiers are back at work
Yea I don't think we will be changing uniforms that have existed since the 1800s
@@margarethuybers2618 that soldier was lucky he didn't actually break his neck with the way he fell.
More respect for these fine soldiers.
Brave trooper! hopefully there were no consequences for him, it was a nasty fall.
The poor trooper I felt so sorry for him. I hope he is OK. I never tire of seeing the Household Cavalry . I am so proud that we have this wonderful pagentry. Thankyou for sharing this video with us. Thankyou to the Troopers and the Horses for their service to our country.
it looked as though he landed on his head, but he got right up and marched, way to go soldier
Oh My What a shock !!
Thankfully he is okay.
God Jesus Christ bless the soldier.
Amen✝️
bravo he is a soldier he faced harder. straight back up and back to work. God save the king
Now that's what you call discipline!
Exactly.
Safety should came before discipline
@@heatherives8646 If you want safety don't join the Armed Forces.
@@stewartbristow846 not likely too but all the arms forces do a brilliant job to keep as all safe
That was one clever move by the horse. The guard landed on his face . A great recovery by the guard. Cheers .
😮😮😮😮Oh my goodness. I hope that the soldier are OK. Because that was a very bad fall. But I take off my hat for the soldier. You are a champ
Ouch. He seemed to land on his head. What a trooper to get up and carry on.
What an absolute star. Well done that man.
American here. I’ve wondered if the shoes on the horses is changed for the asphalt street? I thought it looked like the horse slipped a little.
Absolutely Brilliant video What a magnificent sight! Thank you for sharing this with us, I loved it.
Well done, really stoic…but l don’t believe he’s escaped entirely unscathed.🫠🤞🐎💂♂️
That soldier is like a rugby player, get dumped, get up and keep going. ❤
Ouch! I felt that. Great soldier.
I’m not sure of the reason but there has been a lot of head tossing and pulling on the bits by numerous guard horses lately. . It can’t be blamed entirely on poor horsemanship so my guess is either a rush to complete the horses training or the bridles that so many show discomfort or dislike for. After riding and raising horses for the past 40 yrs I’m aware that every single horse has its own unique personality and quirks and accident and falls happen even to the best riders. It could be my imagination but the horses as a group seemed to be more relaxed during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral than they do now.
Under most circumstances you find a bit that works well for the horse. Some do great bitless, some go great in a basic snaffle, some need something a bit harsher. They uniformly use the same harsh bits on all horses and keep contact on the reins so it’s putting pressure in their mouths. Easily explains the head tossing. It doesn’t look like excitement for the work.
Awesome job, he got up, fixed his sword, and marched onward.
Praying he is ok
Awesome job, of the other Trooper, helping his horse to clam down, while passing by the street signal.
Very up most respect to All you Awesome Sholiders, and Great Majestic Horse's
God Bless.

Another Fantastic Vedio
Oooooo ouch, I cringed, I bet that hurt but he got up and marched on. Fair play to him ❤
Beautiful! Hope the young soldier is ok. Watching from Louisiana
Surely there is no finer sight, in all the World, as this one..magnificent!
Oh my poor trooper Pray he is ok. Got to give him praise for getting u and marching on.
Ouch!!! 😯 Hope that didn't do too much damage. Will definitely feel it later! Pleased to see the horse van, as well.
That looked painful. Landing on his neck like that, he was very lucky not to have broken it.
Fair play for the lad, one hell of a a tumble, but no faffing about, up & go & full marks for marching after his horse too.
One for his family album that. 👍
Phew! Hope someone had a cup of strong sweet tea ready for him!
Perhaps something a bit stronger!?! 🍺
Poopoo in a loo! Brolly wolly woo! Bloddy Bobbo Roo?
They are soldiers not snowflakes. Fall off- get back on. No different to rugby players.
A lot of bouncy horses there. Maybe had too many oats. Lovely horses and brave lad
Of course. You can diagnose behaviour from your armchair. The actually know a great deal more than you ever will about horses. They have been doing this for 365 years . They have the best advice and experience available to them from the Army Vetinary Corps, the Equine Studies unit and staff with 20- 25 years of daily experience of dealing with 250 horses kept to such high standards
@paulgraham3012 were you talking to me? I wasn't diagnosing anything and certainly wasn't in an armchair. Generations of my family served with these guards so politely don't assume. My comment was jocular. There WERE many bouncy horses there. Do you work with them too? Love from Gloucestershire horse country here x
Well done to that trooper for styling it out, hope he's okay
Holding an unsheathed saber close to your carotid artery makes a fall from a horse even more dangerous 😊
Right, and the helmets are only for show too 😢
Beautiful chestnut ridden by the police woman !
I bet the policewoman is a good ride too 😅
Bay not chestnut
WHAT A TROOPER....it could have so ended very differently.
Trooper is a tough guy, no cry babies in that outfit.
Whoa!!!! that was quick. good soldier got right up and proudly marched with the cavalry. here’s to you trooper 💂🏻♀️🐎
what happened to the horse? was someone there to grab him/her? 🐎🐎🐎🐎🌷🌱
they must be trained how to take a fall. like stunt men, just incase. what a trooper. marched on. 'tis but a scratch' attitude, well done.
Hoping that trooper has no lasting injury. Looked like he was moving okay but he'll have some major bruses later. He certainly wasn't expecting that kind of trouble on the ride. Curious as to what triggered the horse to cause it. Good video
Ouch!
Kudos to him for a quick recovery. No doubt appreciated by the officer accompanying that section.
But what happened to the horse.
Did someone catch it from the support team?👍🇬🇧
I have been saying for some time that these horses are unhappy and very jittery and seem to be so much closer to each other when on parade than they were some years ago. I can see a time in the future when people are going to be seriously injured if the problem isn't rectified.
Yet another FB horse expert?
Qualified at the FB equine University?
I was involved in these parades for 16 years many years ago and there was no difference. You are only aware because of social media and human memory failings.
Far more traffic and totally inconsiderate public . No- one offering to help as we got 40 years ago
@paulgraham3012 I am not an expert in anything, but I have been watching these parades and events for many years, and I have never seen so many unruly and jittery horses and certainly not seen them eject their riders at the slightest noise or movement in the crowd. Imagine what would happen during a wartime battle if the horses were not trained to ignore the noise and mayhem that is taking place around them and not trusting their riders. They are definitely not trained to the standard that is required of cavalry stock.
@@paulgraham3012 So there is a difference.
@@paulgraham3012actually there’s a huge difference because soldiers that joined the Ceremonial Division many years ago, used to remain in that division for much longer, so they gained more experience
The Troopers now only do two years with the horses before transferring to Wiltshire
Doubt I’d walk away from that, let alone march.
Eeeesh, that poor soldier, looked like he landed on his head, hope he was ok. True soldier though, got up, brushed himself off and marched on. Total respect to him and all our troops 🇬🇧
Give that lad a pint.
He could run but didn't want to spook the horses....well done lad
All respect for this soldier. The fall from his horse must have hurt a lot, but he straightened his uniform and marched alongside his comrades. Hats off, these troopers are tough ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The horses all seem so flighty these days!
I wish I was young and could travel because there is no where else like this in the world! ❤
I've visited London, I thought it was great, it reminded me of Boston Massachusetts. The only issue I ran into was we couldn't understand each other's English. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Im sure back at the barracks the soldiers are having a good laugh.
So much head-tossing ... poor guy who fell must've been shaken up, but had to carry on, albeit on foot. How humiliating for him. The police horses always seem calmer ? Thanks for uploading.
hope that both off them are all.right that trooper took one very bad fall he just got up as nothing had happened good luck to him he will always remember the time he came off his horse 🐎
Maybe the police horses are exercised more.....
Jeez Louise that poor trooper he went down with a right clatter, hope he’s ok bless him, he just got up was asked if he was ok by his superior and marched off, I hate to see them come off, hope his horse was ok to.x
I have questions ❓ Why are most of these horse's throwing their head's up and down like that. As a rider myself, I'm aware of the possible reasons. I'm just not familiar with the reasons for horse's specifically trained for royal service.
Unfortunately, the camera angles don't represent horse or rider prior to being thrown. I'm glad the rider was able to get right back up. I hope the horse isn't going to be in trouble. Some horse's just don't have the temperament for whatever their intended use and it's up to the human to realize that and allow the horse to be of use in a way that fits both owner and horse's needs.
From a viewpoint of a former U.S. soldier, they should have stopped briefly, Never leave a comrade behind. Curious demonstration.
I agree with you...👍
There is always a back up crew following and if the horse has bolted and not been stopped that trooper would have a long walk.
I often worked night shifts and would see the Horse Guards exercising in Hyde Park, there was always an army ambulance and horse box in attendance. Just in case of accidents.
The cavalry knows what to, stopping could have spooked more horses. Never break the momentum at walk, trot, canter or gallop
Goodness a lot of those horses were very jittery.
Bless him that would have hurt landing like that on the road. Shows how brave these lads are. Having come off my own bombproof mare on a road because some idiot let go of their dog’s lead and she was under attack, I know just how hard that landing is. A bit like the soldier I got up and even though an ambulance had been called, adrenaline kicked in because my horse had bolted down the road for home and I was concerned for her safety. But boy did I feel it later. So I hope this young man wasn’t too sore the next day and he forgives his mount because they rarely show this behaviour without reason. ❤
So dramatic to see so many beautiful horses and riders.
The police horses seem more passive to me .
Different breeding ,different training, diet ,and use. Most Police horses are older than you would guess.
Hes gonna feel that tomorrow
My concern is the rider ok, did he receive medical care
What does it mean when a horse makes his head go up and down so fiercely? Can any horse owner tell me?
They are unhappy for some reason
As any rider can tell you "If you ain't been throwed, you never rode." Nice classy recovery.
Again this is getting to be a regular occurrence
Bless his heart. That was a nasty fall!! I hope he doesn’t have a concussion!! So sorry Sir!! I hope you are alright!! For as bad as that was, you jumped up and gathered yourself like the professional you are!! You are an example for soldiers everywhere!! ❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️
So! Did he catch up with his horse?
Approx 4.54 is where the horse totally just bucked him off...!! Nice to see the COH ask if the rider was ok... falling on hard concrete that's gonna hurt..x Didn't see where the horse ended up though....hope the soldier was able to remount x
What a stunning police horse following that lot. Beautiful colour.
The sudden way the Guard's horse jumped and bucked makes me wonder if it was stung or bitten?
Poor young man. I hope he is alright and hasn't suffered any serious injuries to his neck and back. ❤
Totally professional even though he must have been in pain. Well done that young man
beautiful horses xoxox
There was a loose horse at the beginning as well.
The same barracks near where the IRA blew up the blues and royals killing 7 of their horses.
Magnificent.
That was some buck
All the horses seemed a bit antsy😮
Where is his horse???? I hope that he didn't run off😮😮😮😮
The trooper hit the ground hard but got straight up gathered his things and marched along as if nothing happened , I bet every step was painful but there was no way he was going to show it. Well done
The sound of horses...can be' heard till the kitchen...!@!🐎🐎🐎
That will be a bollocking and beers all round in the mess.
Hello from Spain, i thought that for a moment, he had fallen on his neck, i think the horse decided 'no, not today' get off'. Well done for the young man picking his things up and rearranging himself before marching forward. But unfortunately, these things happen, x
Goodness didn't know they had so many horses and guards
Poor guy
stay safe take it easy xoxoxo
Wow, True Soldier, Hope He’s Ok 👌👍👏👏👏👏
4:55 ouch
Brave lad, well done
Incredible Video, Thank You 👌👍
