I only now got a PS5 pretty much just to play this game. I've been checking out the demo in performance mode and I don't get some people's gripes with its graphics, it looks and feels great. Methinks it is healthy to employ a degree of imagination while enjoying games, not that this game demands any, otherwise the gaming industry would never have taken off to begin with and we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the OG FF7 at all. I feel that ironically this pursuit of life like graphics has landed us in an uncanny valley that actually breaks immersion and prolongs development time to literal hell. Welcome all to the longest week of your life.
After finishing the game, I went back and fully completed everything in this demo, only because I wanted the bonus items from both demos. It's a completionist kinda thing! 😀 Looking forward to your eventual review no matter how long it takes for you to finish the game...
Amazing and exciting stuff. I don’t play demos because I don’t want to disappoint myself with unfinished or unpolished stuff but I so want to play this one 😂 but will ultimately not play it. Haven’t played the remake demo and am not going to play this one. I want to get it all in, all polished and burst into tears once more! 🤣
Thumbs up sir! I stopped the Junon demo after two battles and then told Myself it’s time to wait for the full launch. One thing I noticed is performed mode still looked bad. I’m not anti 30 fps so I’ll play in graphics mode (well I think it will). Rock on brother!!
So if it's just a reimagining, what's the point of speculating/theory-crafting? Is it pointless now? I would think for the sake of marketing they would want us to continue to speculate and not go silent because we know how it's all going to end anyways.
@@RayCoffman I'm not concerned about flexing theories but theorizing in general. Like you, I'd rather not be right about my theories. But if this is just a reimagining as in the ending is going to still be the same, why should we discuss any of it, then? What is there to theory-craft if there's no pay-off? That's where I'm not quite on board with it at the moment so I'd like to know more of what you mean by that. Edit: And I'll just preface that I'm not looking for a major change, either. (Even though I'd be fine with it if they did) But I do want some sort of pay off for the speculations (and again, I'd rather we all be mostly wrong), even if it's small but has a significant impact. Something that will keep us talking even after part 3. That's what I'm hoping they will do. I don't want to know/expect the ending outcome. That's my biggest concern.
I initially was on the sequel train but looking at what others have said I realised its just a reimagining. The Sequel thing was never confirmed and is just fan speculation taken too far, even the Devs said they look at what some people were theorising and said some of these ideas would derail the over all story and that its supposed to link up to advent Children
I thought it was a normal remake/reimagining from the get go. I saw the interview pre advent children and more or less confirms that this is not a sequel saga at all. The problem with the time travel theory was always why? Like why would sephirtoh travel back in time to relive the same thing and hope he can mess with cloud differently and get a different outcome, it just never made sense to me. My first thought when Zach and cloud walk towards Midgar as the party leaves was simply “wow, they are going hard with context” as in they would explore and expand the story from the very begging and not settle for info dumps.
@@Pparty_Gaming I honestly I do think the Zack stuff on a surface level heavily implies that he alive, this for a lot of people felt like jumping the shark and so these complex theories and meta narratives were made. I think they went a little too hard on the implications giving people a false sense of the nature of the remake project
@@JKMlive yeah, it’s really tough to understand the Zach stuff. But one thing no one ever pointed out (imo) is that all of the zack stuff has been in Midgar. So it’s possible that he is trapped there for whatever reason (lifestream/stagnant reality).
Kitase said in the interview before advent children that in terms of a timeline, advent children sits one spot after the remake project. So no it’s not a sequel.
@@zacatkinson3926 I’d love so see where it was said it was a sequel. Ppl seem To forget it wasn’t a project that was green lit for only ppl who have played the OG and compilation. Also, it doesn’t make sense if twice they have said it’s based on the OG with some compilation parts added in and twice they said it will lead into Advent Children. I’ve not seen SE say it’s a sequel to OG or AC. Seems very strange for this to be a sequel and not pitched or marketed as one as well as now Kitase literally says Advent Children still happens after the remake saga. So again, please direct me to where and what SE has said about this being a sequel.
I'm skipping the demo, but muting the video and letting it play to help your views. Can't wait to hear you break it all down once I'm done

Ray love your channel I’ve been watching everyday. Keep up the good work 👍
The only thing I disliked was Cloud's "new" Punisher Mode. Where he kind of teleports from left to right. The one in Remake felt waaaay better.
I wanted a more fleshed out and detailed ending but that what happens when you end your game with a cliffhanger.

@@DezorianGuy it’s not on PC. Performance mode still looks blurry which for me is a bit more jarring than locked 30 fps.
Sequel/reimagining/remake hybrid. There's just no way it's just one of these things
What about what people are saying about performance mode being blurry n stuff ??
FF7 Remake the camera was too zoomed in but in Rebirth its too zoomed out I hope we can change this !
You can in the camera settings

Yes it’s most likely pointless to flex fan-theories. Still fun to theory craft on how they’ll incorporate the “non-OG” elements though.

im still in shock that we're gonna get to play to this game...Square Enix masterpiece incoming when its all said and done
It will have a day one patch? Graphics looks really blurry even in Junon demo.
