@@samaelgoldberg Back in the bad ol' days I used to buy cases (1000 rounds/case) of Norinco 7.62X39 for $99. I also bought surplus Greek .50 BMG on M2 links for $2/round.
Hi Sergio! To answer some of your questions you had for Terry and he somewhat answered them… A shotgun can come in multiple different ways, the one you saw was a pump, typically hold 5 shells, you asked about shells and that’s what he showed you first, shells hold bbs on the inside at a ton of different sizes but are very similar to the ones you may have shot with a BB gun, however they shoot very very fast and a lot of them. There is a tube in the shotgun where the pump slide is where you hold with ur front hand and that’s where the cartridges go in. He made the distinction a couple times between shotgun and center fire rifle however the shotgun shell is a center fire which just means that the primer(device that starts the explosion, similar to what’s in a cap gun) is being struck in the middle of the shell/cartridge. Going back to the shotguns in order to get one in the chamber unless one is already in, you pull back the slide and push it forward, if a used or unused shell was in the chamber it would fling out and u would have a fresh one in the chamber from your tube. You seemed interested in the center fire or what you said was normal looking, those are used for many different things but many of the larger rounds here in the US are for hunting like the .300 win mag, 30-06 rem, 6.5 creed, all of these are talking about the size of the cartridge and bullet so people can choose what fits their gun and game they are hunting. Center fire ammunition typically is more powerful meaning it goes faster, in many cases above 2000 feet per second. Hope that helps and if u have any more questions I’d be more than happy to answer :)

45.70 is one of the biggest rifle cartridges you can purchase. That's why that rifle disappeared so fast if you can catch my drift, lol. Unfortunately, alot of Walmart stores everywhere don't sell guns and ammo anymore. It's bullshit and it's fucking stupid because they did for the longest time. Now, all of a sudden, they decided to stop doing that. Idiots are the problem. I think if you can run a background check without any issues you should be able to own whatever the fuck you want. People need to get over themselves. Sorry for the rant, it's just so damn frustrating.
That's true, and I have no issues with that. But all I'm saying is people shouldn't force their opinions upon others. Just because someone doesn't agree with something, that doesn't mean everybody else has to follow in their footsteps. For example, some people like and want guns, and some don't, fair enough. But that should be everyone's own prerogative
Can you imagine how many lives could have been saved if all walmart stores still sold arms and ammunition ? Im pretty sure some those walmart shoppers that got killed sure wished there was some way to fight back .
That Wal-Mart HAS some guns and ammo for sale is the important point...and in some states Wal-Mart does not sell firearms or ammo, depends on locality...sure, your local gun shop or big box sports store may have exactly what you looking for, but 2-3 years ago Wal-Mart's were sold out of everything like everyone else...
@@sergiosbudgettravels what is crazy is the reaction of some gun community members towards Wal-Mart, stemming primarily from the Wal-Mart decision to stop selling handguns and handgun ammo a few years ago, due to whatever mass shooting occurring...while I can understand both sides here, some shooters have never forgiven Wal-Mart for taking that action, which is Wal-Mart's decision...there a large chain store, 'Dick's', which stopped selling firearms/ammo altogether, somehow they avoided the rage...we buy .22 ammunition at Wal-Mart, it is priced okay and is convenient...the firearms tend to be a slim selection, but someone who is feeling the need to have something might be satisfied...incidently, while you surprised to see guns at Wal-Mart, there are other perhaps odd sources for such, like at auctions, or some hardware stores...
@@JohnPublic-dk7zd true but some of it was self inflicted when they decided to stop selling pistol caliber ammo, ar platform rifles and associated ammo all to virtue signal, like that’s going to stop criminals
I knew you could easily buy guns in some states in the US, but as a European, it's even more shocking to see them being sold in a simple market, right next to toys or food.
You can buy certain types of guns and ammo online without a background check too. You can also buy certain types of cannons, mortars and howitzers online too as well as powder and shells. No background check required. If this surprises you then you have no clue about the USA. Oh. Gatling guns. You can buy them in private sales without a background check. You can also purchase them from firearms dealers with a background check. Legally possessing a silencer only requires a 200 buck fee. America? F Yeah!
You have to watch out with pointing the gun at people, at a gun shop they can legally ask you to leave the shop if you point the gun at someone. I know you're not familiar because you're forign and unfamiliar with them but Americans take it very seriously it's a cultural thing firearms so gun saftey is very important here. I do love how you shook his hand before you left that's very important in some states to show respect when you greet someone especially old timmer like him.

@@sergiosbudgettravels You'll learn. Did you get the chance to visit a gun range? If you haven't I recommend doing it next time you're in the US. @@sergiosbudgettravelsyes and no. They have to reasonably believe you aren’t a felon and that you reside in the same state. Otherwise it could be considered a straw purchase or something like that.
As I know Walmart ceased all sales of handguns and assault-style rifles in their stores several years ago. This applies to Walmart stores in all states, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Don't you mean Semiautomatic rifles? Modern sporting rifles? Assault Rifles are select fire "Machine Guns" used in the military and not sold in the sporting goods section. Assault Style and Assault Weapon are buzzwords intended to confuse and scare the uninformed.
That's for a store, but at gun shows you can ask to see the firearm. You can also go to shooting ranges and don't require a license. You can book an appointment with the Range officer and they have different shooting packages.
In New Jersey you have to have what's called an FID. You have to go through several background checks in order to receive it as a resident in the state. You even need it for BB guns. If you go to a gun store and ask to see a gun they will check for your FID before they let you hold the firearm. (Firearms ID). Purchasing a firearm in New Jersey takes about a week on average for your background check to be completed. So you would go into the store provide your firearms ID card fill out the form and then wait until the store calls you to tell you your background check is good so you can pick up your firearm. Then you go back to the store and pay to get your firearm, (providing your FID again). There are 10 round limits on magazines in New Jersey, as well as many other restrictions that don't exist in other states in the United States. With all of the extra precautions and laws New Jersey has some of the highest crime cities in America. These laws change nothing. We have a people problem not a gun problem.
I agree with the sentiment but I wouldn't say they change nothing. For example, Carol Bowne was murdered by her ex while waiting for permission from the government to purchase a firearm. The laws didn't stop him from killing her, but they stopped a law abiding citizen from having a chance to protect herself. Overly restrictive firearms laws aren't just annoying, they actually have real world consequences.
The waiting period is for handguns. If you have an FID and want to buy a rifle or shotgun, you go to the store, present your FID and DL, fill out the 4473 and pay for the NICs. If all is well, you pay for the rifle or shotgun and take it home. With a handgun you need a FID AND a seperate permit to purchase the handgun. You need one permit for each handgun you want to buy. Want two handguns? You need two handgun purchase permits. You do the NICs, 4473 and then wait 7 days to pick up the handgun/s.
@@MrSloika with handguns you have to apply for the handgun permit first ($50app going by up to $100 in 2025)... And wait til it's approved. You can only buy 1 handgun every 30 days. Longguns are as many and as often as you want, but you RARELY take home same day. I've NEVER had a same day approval in NJ. However, in VA, GA, NC, nd PA I have.
There is no way you found a food in the sports department, also out of all the places you could have gone to in Montana to buy a gun, you went to Walmart😭
If you think that's crazy, you also don't need any sort of license/permit/etc. to conceal carry in MT. Nor are you required to register your firearms. Can't say i personally think any of the above is wise, but in MT, them's fightin words and theres a high chance your opponent will be armed lol
The reason why there's no permit required to carry is because the 2nd Amendment was ratified in 1791 and as a result of this We The People already have our permit to carry. It's written right there in the Bill of Rights. Incidentally, that's the same reason why those of us in the U.S. are able to own and carry just about ANY GUN we choose to, without restriction, even the scary AR15 & AK47 that makes weak people piss their panties and run to their cry closet and rock themselves to sleep.😅😅

I forget how normal it is for me to understand that you don't point the muzzle at anything you're not willing to destroy. Ever. Even if you think it's unloaded. Hi Sergio!
To answer some of your questions you had for Terry and he somewhat answered them…
A shotgun can come in multiple different ways, the one you saw was a pump, typically hold 5 shells, you asked about shells and that’s what he showed you first, shells hold bbs on the inside at a ton of different sizes but are very similar to the ones you may have shot with a BB gun, however they shoot very very fast and a lot of them.
Nobody cares

45.70 is one of the biggest rifle cartridges you can purchase. That's why that rifle disappeared so fast if you can catch my drift, lol. Unfortunately, alot of Walmart stores everywhere don't sell guns and ammo anymore. It's bullshit and it's fucking stupid because they did for the longest time. Now, all of a sudden, they decided to stop doing that. Idiots are the problem. I think if you can run a background check without any issues you should be able to own whatever the fuck you want. That's true, and I have no issues with that. But all I'm saying is people shouldn't force their opinions upon others.
@@JohnPublic-dk7zd crazy

@@sergiosbudgettravels You'll learn. Did you get the chance to visit a gun range? If you haven't I recommend doing it next time you're in the US. In Canada if you do not show a gun license/permit/ they will never hand u a firearm to look at

@@D33Lux Ah okay good to know! WIll be usefule for my next gun range trip in Canada :)
Same in NJ. If you don't have a FID, you can't even handle a gun that's for sale, but you can rent a gun at a gun range for use at the range.

The reason why there's no permit required to carry is because the 2nd Amendment was ratified in 1791 and as a result of this We The People already have our permit to carry. It's written right there in the Bill of Rights.
