    Steel is much better than flesh, and artificial

    If Codsworth's love of charbroiling Raiders is taken into account, I think its fair to say those Safety Inhibitors don't work all that well

      Given 200 years or so, I think it's safe to say most safety inhibitors have malfunctioned at that point. I don't remember exactly which anime, but there was 1 I watched that painted a very beautiful idea to me. How an artificial intelligence alive for hundreds of years would eventually learn so much that it's basically alive at that point, so when he first mentioned how Mr handy 2.0 came along with the upgraded brain. I immediately expected to hear about situations like this
      It also could just be some programming oversight, enough errors piling up allowing it to push past it's limits

      I'm pretty sure the inhibitors stop him from murdering in cold blood, but they can kill to defend the family they serve. Codsworth only kills to defend the Sole Survivor from harm, he even gets pissed at you if you kill someone for no reason.

      @@Lillian2167 Exactly. Pretty Sure its like a "Home Security" exception in the Inhibitors, along the same lines as the ones that let him kill RadRoaches and BloatFlies as "Pests", but wont let him defend his OWN life except by running away.

    I still think in a 'traditional'-style Fallout (a Fallout 5 type deal) it would be really cool if we got to explore a bit more of the goings on of these companies in the Fallout world. General Atomics, Robco, Vault Tec, etc... something were we can see their curious connections to the US government (and possibly other governments) at the time and even how some seem to be in on the whole Eldrich cult sort of thing. Just always felt it was a lot of good ground for interesting stories and lore in that area.

      @SoggyCoffeeAddict 2 года назад +4

      Maybe they discovered a fuel source that burned at relitively low temputures to still provide good thrust? We are talking about a universe that was able to create nuclear power reactors that didn't emit any radiation, and weren't just a miniature steam plant either

    • @UNSCPILOT
      @UNSCPILOT 8 месяцев назад +1

      It may not need fuel.
      Remember it runs on a nuclear Power source, notably one that decays fast (and it has the sensors to find more), the "jet" is probably nuclear-thermal rather than combustion thus needing no fuel as it's own reactor heat keeps it aloft.
      But of course that would still burn your floors unless everything is heat-resistant ceramics or metal.
      Then again this is also Fallout where you can fire a Plasma weapon and not get scorched by the heat and UV intense enough to melt the target, they probably just have some isoteric super-tech that let's them ignore that "slight" issue
