Thank you for really putting in perspective what codsworth felt he was doing that entire 200 years, this also looked amazing. Sometimes I wish mr handys where real. But, all I got is a robot vacuum that falls down the stairs and shatters into 15 pieces, suicidal robots...👏

So this is what Codsworth had to deal with for 200 years
This just makes me wish mr handies were real
Makes me think about how sad a Mr. Handy unit’s existence is after the war. They see their master everyday, happy and healthy and then one day, they’re stuck cleaning an empty house. No one to talk to, no one to check on them or anything really. Then fuel stops being shipped, and they just sorta wait and clean. Unaware that their master is either dead or a ghoul. Then they shut down and either become junk that’s sold or destroyed by some random guy, or the Mr. handy is repurposed.
Kinda sad to think about
Mr Handy's weren't made to have emotions but only mimic them to seem like a human like buttler. Personality modes set to seem friendlier or for the case of mr gutsy, more aggressive. Obviously no one would trust their infant to a robot with a sawblade for a hand specifically of it sounded like a sentry bot. So Codsworth cleaning the house for 200 years isnt loyalty or sentiment but just cause he was coded to do so until he eventually broke down. The idea of a lone robot butler serving a home with no master is still sad tho
@smittywerben1849 codsworth will leave you if you do to many bad things and leaves sanctuary going against his programing
@smittywerben1849 shows how much you know, Mr. handys actually have a neural processor protected by their spherical chassis, and they are able to think and act almost like a real human except for certain parameters that are put in place so they don't harm humans (those parameters can be disabled tho)
It would be such a cool detail if our house was actually cleaned when we left the vault, since codworth had been maintaining it for so long but. But he can't even flip a stool or brush the loose debris and dust out.
This is a good ideia for a mod

I feel so bad for Codsworth, he thought the last thing he thought before the bombs dropped is that his family was going somewhere but they were running for the vault and for 210 years he was left completely alone......
Codsworth the handy robot: It's a shame I wasn't invite to Vault tec shelter where my masters, already rushed to the vault before the bomb felled.
But, I'm glad I was happily untied with my masters to beat up villains in the commenwealth and settlers along with other companions. ;)

I wish there was a town of Mr. handy bots that was just the cleanest most pleasant places to be in the wasteland, even raiders don't mess with it because they know its the only one they are ever going to get.
it ain't a town but the inside of the Whitespring resort in fallout 76 looks decent

I saw this years ago and it makes me ponder what about The Eyebots and protectrons just imagine being forgotten
I doubt most Eyebots had their personality subroutines enabled, as they seem to have been used mostly as ambulant advertisers.
Same for Protectrons. Although, they don't really have personality anyway. They're not the brightest of robots, just cheap and reliable (when build properly).
It would still be sad to see one just floating/walking around in the rain, all rusty, wandering aimlessly along the same route that was programmed into them 200 years ago.
Damn wish we could've made an Eyebot companion in FO4. I don't care that it would've been nearly useless, I just want my floating, beeping, laser-shooting metal ball.

In there perpective they protect their master house from the robbers. That's the fair game post apocalypse. It's either you or him.

If i could get a jet to not burn the ground 4 feet under it i have practicley allready invented it i just need a memmory chip with the capacetey of the sun and neverending rocketfuel

Yeah, that guy should have introduced himself first. A polite touch might have disengaged combat protocols.

Imagine being one of those Handies and Nannies watching your owner[s] get killed and vaporized by the nuke and radiation.
If this popped up in my reccomended, then the algorithm might do some work for this one.
I love this. This reminds me of the short story by Ray Bradbury "There will come soft rains" but in the fallout universe. There's also a reference to the story in fallout 3

Brilliant animation...I swear codsworth is the most adorable companion ever..I just love him. And this made me love him more.
The first thing that came to mind with the thumbnail and title was
“Oh wow another Fallout 4 trailer/teaser I must’ve missed.”
It only took me looking at the channel to realize that this was fan made, it was so well done it really could’ve passed off as a promotional video for Fallout.
Imagine if you could look back at your house when running to the vault and you see Codsworth calmly preparing the house for your return.

I don’t need much force to stay afloat.
My thruster’s temperature is at 158.2 degrees Fahrenheit, which I don’t suppose is enough to cause much damage to anything, really.
