More of a "chill" Colorado vibe? Pick a word that describes your state and pop it in the comments below, then see if your state rep agrees!

    • @imfromdowntown
      @imfromdowntown 4 года назад +1

      @Janco van der Westhuizen Detroit was founded 320 years ago. Hawai'i has been a state for only 60 years. It would be weird to hear Detroit pronounced in French. It takes time but words do get anglicized. Georgians don't call their city Roma and Texans don't say Pah-Rhee. But give it a hundred years and perhaps everyone will say Huh-Why.

    • @michaelzhang5074
      @michaelzhang5074 4 года назад +7

      The cities you mentioned have been thoroughly Anglicized, except for maybe some places in Louisiana. Hawaii still retains much of its native Polynesian culture, which Hawaiians take a lot of pride in, so of course many natives will want to show off their uniqueness.

      Baton Rouge? I’m pretty sure the French say rouge the same way, it’s not pronounced like gouge, and the first word isn’t pronounced like a majorette’s baton... am I crazy? Also kinda interesting you’d pick Detroit and Baton Rouge bc it made me think of how Detroit has an old urban legend of a creature called the Nain Rouge, which is a bad omen. Pretty neat little bit of history there.

      Yeah, I don't live in Utah, but I have a few sisters who live there, and have visited many times over the years, and "Chill" and "Laid-back" isn't Utah... I'd also say Utah'ns (in general) can be scary while driving. One time my mom and I were driving through some canyons, and a guy behind us kept swerving back and forth trying to knock us off, and there was a loooong way down if we had gone off the road 😅😬

    • @FoodElitist
      @FoodElitist 4 года назад +1

      if you watch the older videos, there are at least 3 reps for each state (except MD haha). Probably beacuse of the pandemic they couldn't casted new reps and had to stick with this group. I actually really like most of them.

    • @imfromdowntown
      @imfromdowntown 4 года назад +1

      @Immanuel Suleiman Some employees, some not. But the reason you "see the same people in every single video" is because CNT sends a couple of dozen questions to answer in the same shoot. That's why they're all wearing the same clothes. It's not like they film one question and answer every week. 😂 Once these questions run out, CNT will do a new round with some changes to state reps.
