Not even from California but Im disappointed in him
He’s a casual
He said it so casually LIKE WHAT THE HECK
"Danny Tanner" of full house!
@@AMPProf thankyou
He couldve said daniel larusso
California guy's answer was objectively terrible
Lmao my state doesn’t even have a character
With his logic, you could count virtually every fictional character written in Hollywood. And that's just unfair.
Yes. Yes it is.
@peepee poopoo Your state?
K P3 - kEnTucKy 🤪
how did the california guy pick a character whose most known line is “Toto i have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”
I think that he got the state of CREATION mixed up with a fictional character’s biological information
Seriously it was the dumbest answer.
Wouldn't it have been the California Raisins? They are fictional characters that were seen on raisin commercials all over the country.
Josephalfonso Amantia or full house
I mean, it's California. He could have picked SO MANY other characters.
How does the California guy not know the Wizard of Oz was a book first and was definitely not written in Hollywood?
He meant the movie
The Shwarma they know but the guy said the character was created there lol
@@hmmhm6620 Since the movie did not create the story or the characters, I think my point stands.
@@circa81 but the movie added additional details and characters, as every movie does.
@@hmmhm6620 I really doubt the California knows any of this so, so my point still stands.
I thought the Texas girl was going to say Sandy Cheeks
Exactly 🤦🏽♂️
that's what i would have said, but she's probably too old for that to be iconic to her. so i think that's fair.
I thought of Hank Hill first 😂
Wouldn't be wrong if she did
I swear to god
Colorado - Every character of South Park
except for ike - he's Canadian lol

EmiEverton99 that’s what i was thinking

Liv and maddie
@@Frangomango6744 Yeah i was gonna say that- they don't have an accent tho which I thought was funny
Deadass... his response was so random
I was gonna comment this. For real what a disappointment.
Can’t believe NY didn’t say Spider-man lmao
Some people are Team Marvel, some are Team DC. C’est la vie.
Or Captain America! (Born in the fourth of July in Brooklyn.)
Especially since Gotham is usually Chicago or Jersey in the comics, so Batman doesn’t even make sense! I think New York is usually metropolis but I forget
THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING
"Gotham" has been New York City's nickname since Washington Irving coined it in the early 1800s, but in the DC comics Gotham City is somewhere in New Jersey, and Metropolis is in Delaware.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotham_City#Geography
Fictional Leslie Knope from Pawnee, Indiana would be crying over her waffles right now that she lost out to Garfield the cat. 😭😭😭
Omg yass I love parks and rec
Or Ron F*cking Swanson. Even better.
@@connorleeson7229 lol yea
Connor Leeson Jerry Larry Terry Gary!
Indiana got some heavy hitters, lol
Garfield, Parks and Rec, and Stranger Things!
Texas Lady: “J.R. Ewing”
Sandy Cheeks: “...am I a joke to you?”👁👄👁
Bobby Hill
Sandy and Bobby/Hank Hill are iconic!
@@celsiusaddict I love them! They are the best ever

If the Texan was a late millennial/zoomer, sure. But Dallas was probably one of the most famous TV shows about Texas in the 80s, if anything she showed her age there :D
When the California and the Nebraska guys say the wizard of Oz is from their states I´m like... really ???
California probably thought that because it was filmed in their state
Total idiots
@@thorskjelver8564 most definitely hahaha
@@thorskjelver8564 yeah we need another person instead if that guy.
I think he was basing it on the Wizard's balloon saying "Omaha State Fair." on it.

She still probably should've said Roseanne Connor, though.

I just realized they do these in alphabetical order
Mrs Drawitty they actually don’t! each state is in a different minute then the last :)
God bless you, you kind sir
I can't believe the Alaska person said Balto -- Balto was a real dog and those events really did happen. Although Togo actually ran the longest and most dangerous part of the journey but since Balto was in the lead when they arrived in Nome he was the one who got famous.
Honestly I didn't know that until I watched the Disney+ Movie.
The obvious choice for fictional Alaskans would be the Palin family.
Avi W I haven’t seen that movie yet, was it worth watching?
I watched it back in third grade bc we learned about the Iditarod race
Yes it’s a great movie! I watched it last night lol
Laura and Mary ingells were real people and lived in Wisconsin, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota
Almonzo Wilder grew up in NY state. I used to live a half an hour away from where he grew up.
Also the girl that said Anne of Green Gables. It’s literally set in Prince Edward Island in Canada.
I was expected laura for wisconsin lol
I mean she lived a majority of her life and died in Missouri soooooooo
Kate Elam but Mary didn’t, she remained in South Dakota until she died. I only included where both of them lived because both were stated. Laura also lives for a short time in Florida because the warm air helped Almonzo’s joints
Californian rep gave the lamest answer. -__-
Oregon → Gravity Falls
Yup
Gravity falls is a character?
YES. Which character though?? I think Dipper since practically everyone here is awkward and weird
Or the Simpsons. But I am definitely happy with The Goonies too. Stand By Me would have been acceptable as well.
Nah Simpsons
Arizona guy, Eleanor Shellstrop did not redesign the afterlife to be disrespected like this
YES THANK YOU
For Texas, I would have gone with Sandy Cheeks (Spongebob)
Or Bobby Hill
Walker Texas Ranger
Don’t say nothin’ about Texas!
@@ashpotatoes4262 "Hey Patrick! What am I now?"
Jakub Pociecha Uh… stupid?
Nearly half these people gave a pretty disappointing answer
Missouri did good
The Hawaii one was terrible. Moana is not Hawaiian
Anne of Green Gables is from Prince Edward Island! I completely forgot that PEI is a county in landlocked Tennessee and definitely not a province in Atlantic Canada...
Moana isn’t from Hawaii, she literally says she’s Moana of Motunui
Verena Faheem Nope, look it up. Motunui
Verena Faheem somebody’s getting executed
bro im not saying you're wrong i havent seen the movie but i looked up Motunui and it literally has a space in the name, get it right next time maybe before you complain about the accuracy of someones claims.
ooga booga That’s the real island. The fictional one has no space. Disney Wiki literally shows there isn’t a space
ooga booga Did you check Disney Wiki? X to Doubt. It literally says “Motunui”
California gave a cop-out answer. It could have been either one of the following:
- Bojack Horseman
- Hal Jordan/ Green Lantern
- Veronica Mars
- Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown
- Mr. Miyagi
veronica mars is *sooo* under rated
i jus finished s1 of veronica mars it’s amazing
Dipper and Mabel Pines - Gravity Falls
Patchy the Pirate - Spongebob
Bessie Higgenbottom - Mighty B!
Dany Tanner, Jesse Katsopolis..... Overall worldwide Mr. Miyagi
- Bill S. Preston and "Ted" Theodore Logan
Um California guy - I would have chosen this cartoon character you might have heard of named Mickey Mouse. You are way too Hollywood. But then again so is Mickey Mouse. ETA - I wrote this before getting to Florida. That’s an honorable mention but Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were actually created in California. Heck so was Disneyland for that matter, long before Walt Disney World was built.
dip1955 thank you
But like Mickey wasn't even created in California though...You can thank us Kansans for that lol
Ryann L. He started his studio in Kansas but moved to California in 1923. Mickey Mouse was created in 1928. He owes a lot to Kansas though.
dip1955 I dont think so but okay ❤️
Actually Mickey mouse was invented in Kansas City Missouri. In a cave that Walt Disney used as a workshop/office.
ANNE OF GREEN GABLES IS SET ON PEI IN CANADA 😂
i’m very very disappointed with the person to represent my state
Ditto
Yeah, I was waiting for this comment, but I can see how she thought it was set in the south.
@monny287, also I never said it "screamed" anything. I was being empathetic.
@monny287, just stop. You didn't even know what empathetic meant until today.
Who wants to tell Delaware that Wayne is from Aurora Illinois?
Exactly! He MAKES FUN of Delaware!
I'll do it, I live here.
And he makes fun of Delaware for a very good reason. You're dumb. Agree, Wayne's World took place in Illinois!
Right! I was almost positive that answer was way off but it's been years since I've seen those films.
Southwest of Chicago
I’m so happy that Michael Scott and Tom Haverford were mentioned! Anyone else here an Office or Parks&Rec fan?
but like... rocky tho....
why is everyone saying wizard of oz was based on their state lol
Kansas said Dorothy, which is accurate; California said the whole thing, which is wrkng; and Nebraska said specifically the wizard himself, which is correct.
@@remotelysuspiciousname4462 that guy needs to know life exists outside of California 💀
It was supposed to take place in South Dakota. L. Frank Baum changed it to Kansas after his niece, Dorothy, moved to Kansas.
I was waiting for the new york dude to say peter parker

Not to be mean, but I don't think she knows a lot about Tennessee 🤷♀️
Maybe not, in a previous video she didn’t mention the Smoky Mountains lol
Ummm Tennessee what is up?? Anne of Green Gables is Canadian!! 😂😂😂
I’m from Colorado and I would say Cartman from South Park
For NY he could've also said literally any Marvel Superhero, Batman is sort of across the Hudson River
Gotham city is fictional as well so I don’t think you could actually even use him. Unless you want to use him for Illinois since the dark knight trilogy was filmed there🤷🏻♂️
@@williamsherman7051 Detective Gordon also has ties to Chicago in the comics
RIP Gwen Stacy oh. I did not know that.
Gotham is technically NYC so I'll allow it. But girly girl me is totes sad that he didn't name Blair Waldorf or Serena Van Der Woodsen.
Not Ironman though.
Does the California guy not realize that Wizard of OZ was a book first...? Like Hollywood didnt create Dorthy, L. Frank Baum did.
Shoulda went with Mickey Mouse, lol
I think Florida not CA for Mickey

Same, and I’m Californian
I never knew that lol

Most famous fictional character from Indiana is Ron Swanson
Who?
@@mykeal1324 only the greatest character in television history, you uncultured swine.
SC did mention Tom Haverford though!
Connor Leeson what about Andy, let’s just agree that all of them are iconic! Including Jerry, Larry, Gary, Terry.
I thought it was Mike Pence.
Walker Texas ranger is what comes to my mind for Texas. Also little house on the prairie was based of real life people. Almonzo came from NY state and his wife.(I can’t remember her name at the minute) came from South Dakota. I used to live a half an hour away from where Almonzo Wilder grew up
Walker Texas ranger was my childhood!! That show is so good lol.
Yeah No yes it’s a great show. I was a teenager when it came out 😊
I mean Balto was a real dog. So was Togo and the other dogs that helped them.
For California, I would have said Jeff Spicoli,
such a stereotypical California guy lol
Good answer
There were other choices for the Wisconsin one. We had hit shows that featured Wisconsin. Laverne and Shirley and Happy Days. Milwaukee even has a bronze statue of the Fonz in downtown Milwaukee. That 70's Show was another one.
Exactly!
I was gonna mention the statue, but you beat me to it!
EHHHH ... THE FONZ
I wanted to say Bucky Badger or Bernie Brewer or the Racing Sausages, but I guess they are only famous to us.
@@idaslapter5987 all additionally good choices as well.
I'm super fast, is it obvious that I don't have any other activities than just laying in my bed and watching youtube..
“one of those gump people”
😂😂
I realize that some people don't know this, but Gotham City is in New Jersey, NOT New York.
I always thought it was chicago
it's based off both nyc and chicago
I'm not talking about where its based on. In DC Comics, Gotham City is in New Jersey.
That’s a New Yorker’s opinion, because he cannot remember which fictional character that happened in New York. 😀👍
Lilo and Stitch are definitely based in Hawaii. But Moana is a general polynesian/Oceania representation. They use a lot of Hawaiian language on the movie though, so i can understand why it would be confused for Hawaii. The giveaway however is that Moana has names that utilize ther letter T. There's no T in Hawaiian language. Not unless we're talking about old Niihau-an dialects or something lolz.
The voice actress who played Moana is Hawaiian, so I can see where the confusion there originates
Guessing... one of that 70’s show characters for Wisconsin?
The New York guy had like the most options out of anyone else here, The Ghostbusters, Sesame Street, Friends, Captain America, the west side story characters, The teenage mutant ninja turtles, and Spider-Man. But he said Batman, the protector of Gotham City, which is usually shown to be in New Jersey.
Seinfeld is another that comes to mind
Tennesse: I guess ...Anne of green gables?
*Canada has left the chat*
In Riverside, Iowa there is a engraving that says "future birthplace of James T Kirk". We have only one thing to look forward to.
I can't believe the Colorado guy didn't say Eric Cartman...
-Ok , what superhero is known for swinging around the buildings of New York in a red and blue costume?
-this guy: gotham city, batman baby
When Gotham is supposed to be in New Jersey.
Michael Scott? Really PA. We literally have a Rocky Balboa statue in Philly.
That, and then she said “Accuarate representation of our state,” I’m so upset about that, we’re not all that dumb.
@@nicholasmiller4696 It was clearly a joke. I would say you are dumber than you think.
To each to their own ig.. For me I felt really proud when she said Michael Scott! The office got to be the best sitcom ever imo.
Nicholas Miller it’s pretty accurate lmao
I'm confused about states since the education system sucks.. is Phlly a state with Pennsylvania as s city? Or is there a state Pennsylvania with a Philly city? University of Pennsylvania bamboozled me today
Okay so the one time I've watched so far the PA rep isn't all about Philly and doesn't say Rocky!?
I know there are a lot of Office fans but come on.
Right? Like The Office is great but Rocky is arguably one of the most famous characters ever
I’m so proud of the Minnesotan, he said what all Minnesotans know is the most famous fictional character. Thank you very much.
You should be ashamed. The country is up in flames because of you people
Edp4455 this could have happened basically anywhere else in the US. Blaming an entire state’s population for that won’t solve anything. I don’t personally think the police handled the situation well at all. You are extremely ignorant to blame me and the 5 million people who live here. And if you really paid attention, you’d know that at this moment, the mayors in the area and Governor Walz are working their asses off to make change. We as a country already have a lot going on right now with Covid and the George Floyd situation. Don’t blame me a 13 year old male, for something a 44 year old murderer did.
Yess! But what about Charlie Brown? There's Peanuts characters all over downtown.
Gavination DRG already did wish BLM destroyed your state
I would have thought of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox for MN.
I’d say Elmo and Peter Parker are also popular NY character. Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street? Can’t believe it took so long to name a street in honor of the show
I know he could of also said the characters from friends!!
People be complaing about everything these days. He had one option and he chose Batman which is a great pick, carry on with your lives y'all
Hmoro hat so true
What about Vito Corleone???????
I see you in the comment section of every single RUclips video I watch haha
I feel like Oklahoma Lady is completely out of touch. The musical Oklahoma, The Watchmen, The Outsiders, Twister, just to make a few. They should have gotten someone that knows OK more.
She's mentioned the musical Oklahoma in a previous video. I think August Osage County is just the more recent one.
Ponyboy!
Jenna Wade stay gold
As a Californian, I would pick Zorro. Written as a character in the time period of Spanish California before it was a state, but it still counts. He was the OG masked avenger with a double identity, and the main influence for Batman.
Bravo to Ohio for mentioning "WKRP in Cincinnati", but Herb Tarlek was the character with the plaid suits; Les Nessman was the news reporter who always had a mysterious bandage in a different place every episode.
I want to know what everyone thinks their state should've said. I'll go first. MN should've said Charlie Brown.
If I can't just agree with the Montana rep (she really nailed it with A River Runs Through It), do the people in Lonesome Dove count? I think they were going to Montana, right?
I live in Idaho but I agree that Napolean Dynamite.
Michigan - I thought they’d say Axel Foley or Tim “the toolman” Taylor, but Sister/Sister was a good choice.
Illinois should’ve said Homer Simpson!
@@MsTink1020 in the Simpsons, Springfield is a fictional town that isn't based in any state. We have a Springfield here in Missouri too.

We can still claim Figment though.
Edp4455 Very true. We still can’t claim Mickey, though. He graced our state with his presence. We didn’t birth him.
Alana D 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
*I just came to hear all the different accents...*
Alaska’s is wrong😂🤦♀️ The Balto story is 100% true
i mean, to be fair though, the animated movie is HIGHLY fictionalized.
I am SO disappointed in California

Lol yup
Yep, yall got that evil clown creature!
The most famous character from Oregon is Ramona Quimby!
No it’s Simpson’s
@@CalebKalli That's the winner, right there. Can't blame Oregon guy for saying the Goonies, though; the 80's and 90's were chock full of Astoria in the movies: Kindergarten Cop, Free Willy, Short Circuit.
davidjcheney Simpson’s aren’t in Oregon, genius.
I Think for Arizona, Maybe Lighting McQueen? Because of Some of the movie takes place near Route 66 and is based in Arizona in some parts...
Ooh yeah!! I was having a hard time thinking of one.
Maryland gave an acceptable answer this time, I am so shocked
I mean.. I get that Michael B Jordan played Wallace when he was a kid.. but is Wallace better than Omar!?
I would have said Babs Johnson
I mean maybe not, but she did actually pick a famous character
Omar comin’
Stringer Bell deserves some respect
Pennsylvania: Michael Scott.
Rocky Balboa: Excuse me WTF?!?
I'm proud of South Carolina guy
So am I
Me too
Arizona could’ve said Eleanor from The Good Place! She’s from Phoenix
Yes!!
Eleanor Shellstrop
The Alabama guy gave the right answer for his state and Pennsylvania. Michael Scott is famous but Balboa is much more so
Who’s gonna tell North Dakota that Fargo takes place almost entirely in Minnesota?
lol
The Utah guy speaks the truth. No one ever bases anyone in Utah. HSM is the best we got.
Oh god I don’t claim the Tennessee girl-
She could have said Hannah Montana
None of us claim her or Hannah Montana lol
How come whenever they talk about fictional characters or movies Utah brings up HSM? Just because it was shot there does not mean it took place there. It took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Minnesota here. definitely saw Paul Bunyan and babe the blue ox coming.
As a Canadian I cringed pretty hard when the girl said Anne of Green Gables. XD
I love some of these but most seemed super unsure like they were put on the spot. I was kind of hoping they'd all know an answer and be excited to shout it out no matter how obscure.
Cringe?
I mean that 70's Show takes place in Wisconsin does that count! Also Laverne and Shirley and Happy Days were my faves.
ehhhhh....The Fonz!

Balto ins't a fictional character
but he only ran the last 50 miles of the relay, Togo ran 300+ miles so he's the real hero...
I wouldn't say Balto is not a hero. Does he have credit/popularity that Togo deserves? Yes. But every mile counts towards the finish. Every dog on that team and the one who guided the sled are heroes.
@@spir.tar.herc.129 yes good point, but i'm just not sure why Balto gets all the credit. and Togo was 12 years old when he did it.

Michigan?
TIM "THE TOOLMAN" TAYLOR?
I would’ve gone with Ms. Marvel.
I couldn't think of anyone specific but we have our own book series, Michigan Chillers.
She seems to be too young to have seen Tim.
If Missouri HADN'T said Huck Finn I would have been floored
I'm always so proud of her. She nails it every single time!!
For us Bay Staters I would say probably Hester Prynne, the main character in "The Scarlet Letter". If you're talking TV characters, I think it would have to be anyone in "Cheers"--Sam, NORM, and of course "yer ol' pal Cliff Clavin heah"!
THIS.
Sabrina
I mean. The Simpson’s do be in Oregon. But the goonies works. And Coraline. And gravity falls. Woah.
WV guy continues his streak. I was thinking of John Henry, but Mothman was WAY better
john Henry was real
Did Tennessee really and try and claim Anne of Green Gables? She's Prince Edward Island's pride and joy and all of Canada just took your comment personally.
5:08 she could have said everyone from stranger things or parks and rec, but she decided to do GARFIELD
Garfield is hella popular wdym?
Garfield has been around longer, and was likely a point of pride for the state while this lady was growing up. It’s not surprising that she’d think of that before those more recent shows, as she probably was already living elsewhere by the time they were created.
@@Coolrot thank you
Naw we gotta fight cus garfeild is more iconic than any of those shows
Rocky Balboa for Pennsylvania and Molly of Denali for Alaska. Balto was real
Yeah, The Office takes place in Scranton, but someone ELSE got to mention Rocky and that's not fair.
The fact the Washington guy whiffed on Frasier (or even Twilight characters) is mind-boggling. WTF dude?
For Utah, I half expected Indiana Jones, considering it's shown in the 3rd movie that he lived there as a kid.
That's actually a good pick. I've been scratching my head over who a fictional Utah character would be myself.
Georgia's should be Rick Grimes

Sadly, I would wager that more people are familiar with Forrest Gump.
Ok and Minnesota really missed out not claiming Rose Nyland!!! Golden Girls
Yeah, but come on, it’s Paul Bunyan.
what about Snoopy, Charlie Brown or any of the Peanuts characters lol
I think Louisiana really missed out not claiming the water boy!
I think Louisiana's answer was brilliant!
