This video made me realize Florida basically took Alabama’s exact state flag and stuck their state seal in the middle. And that’s it.

Colorado, California, Maryland, and Texas all have great flags, the rest are all mistakes. Actually New Mexico and Arizona’s flags aren’t bad either.

The Maryland flag is a huge part of our culture. You can get it on anything. Shorts, hats, lanyards, coasters, guitar straps, masks and anything else. We love it because of how unique it is.

@SLAMO Hawai'i was an independent kingdom for a long time, and therefore was not even a part of the USA when they were being oppressed by the British. We were actually diplomatic allies with Great Britain. Capt Vancouver presented our king with a union jack when he came to Hawai'i as a symbol of friendship between the two nations and that is why it was incorporated into our flag

The NY state flag has the cost of arms, and it says “Excelsior” which I’m pretty sure is the only word out governor knows because he says it literally ALL THE TIME

To be fair, it's really the mentality of the Downstate and Upstate. We don't like to acknowledge each other's existence. Not only do we have a state and city flag, but each of the five boroughs have a flag too.

When Maryland said it’s colorful I didn’t think she knew what she was talking about cause it’s colors are only red and yellow. But then she said like her outfit and it was actually similar so I’ll give her points cause that flag looks hard to describe!
The maryland flag is the easiest to describe it's has 4 sections, the colors are black yellow red and white it has black and yellow checker design in upper left and bottom right and red and white crosses in the upper right and bottom left.

In South Carolina, the state flag is on EVERYTHING. Shirts, hats, coolers, you name it. We even have a popular store chain called Palmetto Moon (referencing the flag). It’s a cute flag and we love our palmetto trees.

I moved to Oregon as a teenager. I watched because I wanted to know more as I can only think of the color being blue and some kind of state seal in yellow. I didn’t know it had a back side to it and that it has a 🦫 on it. Sweet!

Technically, her outfit is only off by one color. That said, “it’s colorful” is misleading. The flag is four colors and the fact she didn’t even list them is disappointing. Honestly tho, describing the state flag without knowing 17th century coat of arms & blazon terminology is challenging.

The North Carolina state flag has two dates on it. May 20, 1775 for the Mecklenburg Declaration of independence and April 12, 1776 for the Halifax Resolves. Which also appear on the state seal with the phrase "Esse quam videri" which means "To be, rather than to seem".
