If you've never met him, he is so nice and down to earth. When you talk with him it's like talking to a friend. Sweet man and sweet sweet music.

How the heck do you top that? Funny, clever and perfectly precise playing, without busting out laughing during the performance, all the while making it look easy. Only someone who puts hours and hours into his trade can pull this off.
Would like to hear him do the Sushi song.

This song captures the essence. You will never be good enough, so don't compete with other than yourself. And if you try to become the best, then you have to work hard every day of your life. You still have no guarantees -- you'll probably fail. But the beauty is that if you study people like Pat Donohue, then you can put music to your thoughs in a way that nobody else ever has. Maybe somebody likes it, or maybe somebody doesn't.

My husband attends "Blues in the Gorge". Pat is usually present there. We also watched Pat perform at Timberline lodge awhile back. When "Blues in the Gorge" finishes. We go to Alberta Rose Theater in northeast Portland. He also performs there. One of my favorites of his is "Irish Blues"🤣🎸🎶🎙

Pat is a great guitarist, yes, that is actually a complement. There's another fine version of this on YT by another excellent musician who credits Pat in his intro... Jim Kweskin.

My hands hurt from just watching those chords fly by. So casual. So...laissez-faire. Donohue is crazy good and brilliantly funny.

Ah the first guy who's got it totally right, not a word lied here, yes indeed the manager with his 20%,a few phone calls and he's got his cash again ,the musician can work his balls off, driving from Coast to Coast, the playing is great and the rest can be flushed down the toilet. Greets Vic.

Well, she married a guitar player, so I`m leaning heavily towards the latter. :)

Yeah, there's a lot worse things you could be than a guitarist. Or would you rather be a fish???
