I've always thought this watch looked terrible on the wrist, until now. That watch is perfect for her, and seeing it look that good on her wrist gives me new appreciation for the watch.
After watching Brynns WOTW Ive craved a Black Ceramic Royal Oak, now I also want a Yellow gold Octo Finissimo! 😂Awesome week on the wrist! 👌Killing time ladies, be killing it!
"...design & technical watchmaking..." Indeed! The watchmaking that went into the thinness of this line is incredibly well thought out. And yet, the overall design still has great visual depth.
I would have thought it was too big, but it actually makes a lot of sense as a woman’s watch in yellow gold. Agree it has more of bracelet look. Nice video!
I *hate* 70s fashion and aesthetic but I will admit that the aesthetics of this watch are very, very good...they're just not the sort of aesthetics that I, personally, like, so I don't like the watch and would never buy it. However, it looks superb on her. Also, I'm with her on the yellow gold vs. rose gold thing: yellow gold is so much better.
That was a well done review. I'd love to see more of a woman's perspective on these types of watches. The thin, sleek designs created for both male and female
Hopefully they'll be back once the fad side of all this dies down - I'd love to see Ben become a more regular fixture again. I'd also hope they find new female representation like how Cara used to be. Their current roster just feels like they don't actually know anything about watches.
Great review, and the video quality is awesome, as usual. My one complaint is the presenter's vocal fry, which is jarring and makes her words sometimes difficult to discern
Bulgari is more legit than most brands. They got groundbreaking in house movements ans have completely original designs. They got stuff geared jsut towards the, as you put it, en mass apeal for the watch nerd.
It's a very expensive watch to play dress up. I don't know that this is really anyone's true personal style with timeless appeal. This feels like something the wealthy fashionista gets bored with after a season or two, and moves on to something else. Ultimately, owning a Panthère de Cartier (paid for with your own money) is probably a better long term style choice.
Why define it as male or female. This is just a nice pice with small proportions. I think the size of the watch on the face still makes it a mans watch as well.

Octo Finissimo is becoming a new icon.
I thought this would be a big watch but looks great on her wrist
Octo Finissimo is an icon . Looks great on women and men in any style
Yellow gold Daytona would be my pick over this. But this is a stunner as well
Couldn't AGREE with HER more! This WATCH is STUNNING!!!

Audio is not as posh as this lady.
I don’t know why but the watch looks Rose Gold to me.
Any thought on the new blue dial vs the chocolate dial?

It’s videos like these that remind me - Hodinkee has long stopped being a source for watch enthusiasts, but rather the masses
That’s a typical cycle. That’s ok though - there’s more great watch content online than ever!

Only someone from the mass would create a account named Audemars Piquet
HOGWASH
It’s a great watch, very nice indeed

That is a good looking watch for sure. Unfortunately it is a bit out of my price range.
Love the watch!
Amazing
Love Malaika so so much. More Malaika!
Beautiful
Sunburst ceramic dial?
It feels like I'm being talked to as if I have zero knowledge at all of watches. This does not feel like a watch video.
It’s not. It’s an influencer style video - this is what Hodinkee does now.
Great reveiw.
4:17 that's not a micro rotor, that's a balance spring.
Looks way too big, I feel it would look far more elegant if it wasn't so large. I do love the yellow gold though and the dial is pretty.

What do we learn here?
Since this is the lady style, I'm not in the position to say is no right or wrong, too big or too small in fashion. If she loves it, that's best.
I don't care if you'll think Im simp...I love Malaika soooo damn much....
6:52 Not the bracelet with diamonds next to…and scratching the watch, way to take care of a 50k watch hodinkee 😀
Looks a bit bulky on her IMO. But give the woman what she wants.
feels like a nuisance for her to wear it
Has a posher woman ever existed
Only an expat in New York would actually speak like that. 😂
What a nice video and presentation ruined by vocals fried as McDonald’s chips 😢

Lose the vocal fry, it's very off putting.
Honestly, no.
What an ugly watch.
Rose Gold has always been a bit naf. I agree, bring back real GOLD.
