Paul and Buster each got a blackout rifle for Christmas one year and one night while Paul was at a party with friends his who are also Mallory beach's friends and the rifle was stolen from Paul's truck at that party. Now fast forward to the murders of Paul and Maggie I believe 2 people were waiting and watching in the tree line behind the kennels to execute Paul in retaliation for what happened to Mallory and one of the gunmen is the one who stole the other blackout rifle from Paul's truck and that's why the ballistics didn't match up because Paul was shot with his stolen black out rifle. The culprits waited for alec to leave the property then they killed Maggie and Paul and they're probably laughing knowing alec's the perfect scapegoat or fall guy. Yes he is a despicable person, and before this trial, based on his reputation alone, i assumed he did it. I thought he was too guilty to even stand trial. All I see is circumstantial bits and if I were on the jury, I'm not sure if his persona is enough to say he did it, nor the prosecution's argument that he had the motive to disguise his financial crimes through the murder of his family. Is there reason for me to believe he did it? Yes. But beyond any sliver of doubt? Not for me. I wouldn't sentence a man to death if I were only 85% sure he did it. I get you hate him so much that you don't understand why anyone wouldn't comvict him, but holes in the evidence is how reasonable doubt is cast.

Power. The State has too much if it - has the unlimited resources ($) unlimited to run hog wild in pursuit of truth only. Because if used for anything else God help us. The defense attorney is the best Alex can hire. He is very qualified for this murder case. He is putting on an act as an old incompetent attorney to get people to play into his hands. He is trying to irritate, confuse, make people nervous and insinuate their memory is faulty and the professionals are incompetent. The jury is listening to him closely. He's trying to put doubt in their minds. (The LE bungled the case the murderer is still out there. Alex may have stolen money but he is not a murderer). I hope the jury are intelligent people and make the right decision. Sometimes they don't.

It must be exhausting for Alex Murdaugh to be in this courtroom and maintain his composure knowing that he killed his family, listening to all of the details of his family members' murders, while at the same time replaying in his mind what he did to his family, knowing that the cameras are on him at all times, hundreds of thousands of people scrutinizing his facial expressions and non-verbals on RUclips. If he is found not guilty, what kind of life could he possibly think he is going to live?

As I sit here in South Carolina watching all this, I’m leaning toward guilty, but still have reasonable doubts:
      1. State hasn’t produced any physical evidence that Murdaugh (and not possibly someone else) is the perp
      2. Motive. By all accounts he got along well with his family. WHY would he do this? Insanity? If so, he’s hidden it well for the last five decades.
