You all probably dont care but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Curtis Robert thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Many thanks for the video. Very useful. I note that you are laying down the line section over what appears to be a tracing of the buildings perspective. Please can you explain how this is done?
Good morning Peter,. IVE HAD A GO AT PAINTING WATERCOLOURED SKIES. is there technic holding paint brushes? do you have a video that explains technic brush strokes.?
Thanks Angela - I'm pleased you enjoyed it. The brushes I use are a Red Sable Blend, made by Rosemary and Co. For further details, go here... www.peterwoolley.co.uk/shop_BRUSHES.html
I use Saunders Waterford 200lbs Rough, and mostly use a combination of Winsor & Newton and SAA Artist colour. I always work from tubes. Thanks for the comment John - I'm pleased you enjoyed the demonstration.
Loved this. I just did my first ever watercolour (at 67) a few days ago but I am drawn to this style. May I enquire what is the best paper for this technique? Thank you so much for sharing this
Since this is a collaboration between ink and watercolour, it needs to be done on watercolour paper - I use Saunders Waterford 200lbs, with a Rough surface (although some folks prefer a smooth - or 'Hot Pressed' surface for this technique). Thanks for the comment, and good luck with your watercolour journey, Rob!...
Hi Kate - My grey is mixed from French Ultramarine and Burnt Umber (start with the FU and add tiny amounts of BU at a time, and you'll see the two colours neutralise each other...) - I also like to drop in a small amount of Alizarin Crimson to warm it up slightly.
I’m new to watercolor and like your style of teaching. I’ve visited your website, and am trying to decide which method of learning is best for a raw beginner: 1) The DVD set Watercolour for Beginners, or 2) becoming an Online Member for an ongoing monthly fee. I’m looking for a step-by-step approach to learning the basics of watercolor painting. Thank you! Karen
Hi Karen, thanks for the comment. The two different choices suit different people - some folks like to have the physical discs, online membership is good for those who are happy streaming the demonstrations. For a full learning experience, featuring full-blown step-by-step instruction and one-to-one feedback, may I suggest you take a look at the 'Online Student' option, which is a little bit more a month than the member subs, but you could try it for, say, just three months to see how you get on with it, and then cancel it ir downgrade to a member option... however it suits you. A full 15-disc DVD set is also quite a comprehensive collection of material, presented in a logical, graded way. I hope that helps. Cheers, Peter
I like both. It strikes me that the second technique may be more effective once one is more experienced with water color alone. Great content!
I could listen to you all day!
Artists rule....👍🌺😉
Pithy & focused . . . a breath of fresh air! Just what I needed to reboot my passion for watercolor. Thank you so much. Your work is beautiful.

@@peterwoolleyartist Thank you so much for your prompt and detailed reply 🙏🏻😄 Have a great day 🤗
Both were beautiful , for me its easier to lay out my idea with the “line “ part first.
Thanks Christine - I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I think 'line first' is probably the approach that the majority will relate to.
Love it Peter. I would be very interested to know what paper you use (brand) and also what paint, tubes? and brand also. Very inspiring, thanks.

Slowly step by step. Thank you in anticipation. Sa.urai.

Great!!!!!!!
Fantastic artwork....🤩🤩🤩
Which pen and paper you used here?
excuse me thank you in anticipation to answers to my questions.
Thank you.
You're very welcome Janis - thank you for leaving a comment
Getting the building perspective is the hardest in my sketches, they always look flat
Perhaps keep in mind linear perspective and atmospheric perspective. More detail in the focal point and less detail in the rest.
I took a photograph and measured the angles of windows in every floor. They changed from 10- 60 degrees. Amazing! Thank you for responding.
Same with me!!
What was the grey colour you used at the beginning of the second demo? Thanks!
Hi Kate - My grey is mixed from French Ultramarine and Burnt Umber (start with the FU and add tiny amounts of BU at a time, and you'll see the two colours neutralise each other...) - I also like to drop in a small amount of Alizarin Crimson to warm it up slightly.
peterwoolleyartist thank you! It’s a great video, really useful!
👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟
A great set of 'Thumbs Ups'.... thanks Penny!
