Calling me
Who put all the shit in your head?
Telling things
Saying things
'Till you break
Filthy water bubbles up
Who put all the shit in your head?
Pile it in
Half asleep
Half awake
Let the demons out your head
Let the demons out your head
How they grow
How they stare
How they gawp
But we would like some privacy
Strangled roots becoming trees
How they sit
How they stare
How they gawp
Weave into your dream
Weave into your dream
Weave into your dream
Weave
Weave

Imagine if Thom reworked this for The Smile.
He has, it’s called Tiptoe and it’s on the new album
The more I read Thom's lyrics the more it seems he is writing about his personal life. It used to seem so surreal and abstract but as time goes on, I think it is more matter of fact.
D'ah
he explicitly stated he is not and he is disappointed in audience perceiving it that way in the recent interview with Zane Lowe
though looking at some of them I can’t really shake off the impression You mentioned
As Thom has had, my wife has cancer. I dont know what lead to his divorce but I imagine based on the lyrics of many of his songs they are directed toward her. I have also been divorced. Maybe that's just my perception. He is incredibly talented. I think he may have had some resentment toward her in later years as I think "I am a rude person" is about her as well. I think there may have been a jealousy thing going on there but I'm sure I am WAY off.
I think the day dreaming video was actually recorded backwards and thom was actually shutting the doors instead of opening them I think the final video is in reverse. If you watch it backwards it starts with him saying “half of my heart half of my love 23 years” which is how long he was married to his wife before she died. I think the whole video was Thomas way of coping with the death of his wife. It was his way of closing the door / that chapter of his life .
The more i read him, the less that i see him talking about himself, but about our current politicial social situation. That's why he's abstract, so he can say several things at once.
Thom has to have to most work available online than any other artist.. EVER!!
I've been listening to Radiohead since I saw Paranoid Android on MTV around like 7-8 years old.. just when yoi think you've heard all their work.. you find something else.
Its the mark of a true musician.. and imo, the greatest 🙌
I 100% agree with you, the only artist who's up there that I know of is mac miller. So much music and so much variety. Unfortunately we didn't get to see how great he could be, grateful we've gotten to see thom's greatness.
Sounds like a Trent Reznor colab, I know it's not, but just imagine how great that would be.
With the type of people Thom and Trent are, I don't really see them working well together. But if they ever do end up working together in the future, that would be awesome.
Although I enjoy Anima, I would have loved it if Thom would've gone deeper in such a spacious and drony realm.
Like dawn chorus?
@@RustinChole Dawn Chorus came closest yeah
@@makkietakkie Everyone hypes Dawn Chorus but to me, it completely takes the flow out of Anima.
@@MforMovesets I find it to be a welcome break from the electronic soundscapes of the album. Like an emotional interlude where Thoms raw feelings momentarily break through the sea of beats and synths that make up the rest of the album. (Not a complaint on the other album tracks, I find anima to be almost completely perfect)
@@MforMovesets dawn chorus is massively overrated. The synth sounds and chord changes are beautiful but the singing-talking and the lyrics are fucking trash.
Masterpiece. Should have more views. Thank you Thom.
deep pathos and glittering beauty, a masterpiece, this moves me on a level others can rarely plumb
Thom really needs to bring this one out in whatever form. Would love to see in on LP10.
He should join a band
for me this is the track of the year
Live at Philharmonie de Paris - April 2019
Really hoping for another York's or Radioheaf album before my next execution. Fingies crosseded.
Um? Execution?
Wait what.
Follow the west most peninsula, past the peehats and you will find your answer. It's a secret to everyone!
@@klowndogrock man, I remember wrecking those things in OoT as a kid, I felt so badass spamming the downward strike

Lovely tune Mr. Yorke...
Magnífico
Beautiful track
this is beautiful
So beautiful!
Glad I found your channel, namesake.
Another stunner.
thom is an underrated guitar player
Am I that fucking drunk already, or is there like 12 different Thoms looking sincerely at me?
we are in a blissful dream
The synths here sounds like 4 Minute Warning
Nils, dette her for ekstrim for mig i dag, før kunne jeg god't lide ham, men måske er vi ikke på samme level mere, hvem ved.
alguien que lo escuche en esta cuarentena
Does anyone know if a studio version has been confirmed for this track yet? Even live it sounds incredible

Speculated to be "I Quit" on the new album from The Smile. We shall see.
0:01 Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plageis the wise?
That's a tripod in the beginning, and no one can convince me otherwise.

God dam What is this
When did this track come out?
Apr 8, 2019 - Tonight, Thom Yorke debuted two new songs at the “Minimalist Dream House” concert at the Philharmonie de Paris.
This song Gawpers and Thom's first classical song Don't Fear The Light you hear on youtube are a radio rip from BBC Radio 3 in 2019

“Daily Battles” would have been a much better closing track.
Even the outro is sublime.
Beautiful madness.
