There's an immense happiness emanating from him lately. Strangely it's the "newest" thing about him, hard to think of a time he was ever like this before. It's like he's finally grown distant enough from himself to like his old music or even feel proud of it. His voice here feels like he just ripped off a thick layer of varnish he'd been applying since In Rainbows. He's no longer trying to sound like Adelle or hiding behind mumbly falsetto.
@@jonnynguyen6246i was gonna say i’ve been noticing that a lot too! he seems a lot more content with his work and performing for sure. also yeah he has definitely adapted to his current voice. super awesome honestly
@@jonnynguyen6246 I've noticed he doesn't have as much breath as he used to, though. Well, makes sense since he has gotten older. He used to do longer notes and freestyle because he had so much breath to give. He still freestyles but often because he can't quite hit the notes, so he works around it by changing it a bit. You can perhaps even compare this song with his older performances, even the acoustic ones and you can tell the slight difference.
Wasn’t sure he could build the tension without the strings. Oh boy was I wrong. I think he sent me to another dimension with this version. Just a magical night.
@@paulygeeeSmile would’ve been great!! I saw them in Sydney 2012 but this solo gig was something really special. To hear all of the stripped back Radiohead songs next to songs like Dawn Chorus and Eraser just blew my mind
Watching in the UK, feeling envious that he’s doing this on the other side of the world, knowing he’ll never do it back home again. If I had the time and money, I’d pay a small fortune to see this live. Cheers Thom. This is my favourite Radiohead song 😔
there was a few moments i was taking a second to pick a song. the first few chords of this i thought it was True Love Waits, which had me kinda tilting my head confused and thinking??? really???? .. but then it clicked what it was after the strumming rhythm clicking in more. Sail To The Moon was another one where the opening chords, i thought it was Spectre. and i went through a mini routine of processing that he was playing Spectre, trying to process what that means and getting excited for Spectre... and then quickly realizing it's actually Sail the the Moon which i actually love even more but at this point i've already gone through a mini process of excitement and now i'm just easing into the song and enjoying it lol. it's a weird thing !
Wow one of my best, i have so much memories on this track, not forcely funny but this was helping me during this time..Amnesia is for me their masterpiece..just my opinion. Cheers
noticed that too. He skipped the part where the drums came in, probably because he has no drums, or just actually sung the wrong lyrics by mistake and went with it lol

I feel privileged to have been there last night. It was a once in a lifetime gig
Me too! Though, I’ve been fortunate enough to see Radiohead in Melbourne in 2012 and The Smile in Barcelona in 2022. 😍

Thom sounds as great as ever, and very atmospheric.
So good! I would have loved to see this played in Auckland. Thanks for the capture and share Elly, you are a legend

Why he wont do it in the uk?
There are the fans who cheer at the opening lyrics, and there are the fans who cheer at strumming the first chords
Chords every time

Never knew i needed this. This never knew it needed me. That is what music wants.
His voice genuinely as good as ive heard in years. So good. Wish I was there
This might be my favorite rendition of this song. Amazing
Gosh his voice is in fantastic form here. Genuinely great to see these reimaginings pared down songs soaring away
Saw this in Christchurch last week; was the best song of the show. Brilliant...
Excellent performance.
Thom just gets away with the falsetto part and he knows it...😄 Look how happy he is with the crowd's reaction!
Shoutout to Elly!! I'm going to see him in Kyoto so it's perfect for me to warm up with these uploads, thank you!!
Oh he looked so happy at the end :)
What an amazing night!!! Thanks so much for these recordings!! 🙏
Grateful I was there and it gives me the chills reliving it. Nice capture! Thanks Elly!
dude forgot "I go where I please" lol
maybe he didn't want to go there.
Same in Singapore. I think he’s deliberately shortened it

Absolutely amazing
I’ve listened to this song a thousand times but still get the chills listening to it
I really wish I was there to see it. Would have been a dream come true. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to due to circumstances. Hope he comes back soon
I need someone to upload this to SoundCloud ASAP

Beautiful 😊
Saw Radiohead in Perth 1998, wished he'd toured here in 2024 🎙his voice sounds good
Elly you legend!
Oh my god, this is awesome!
wow, that was great
My superhero is getting old 😢
Highlight of the night for me. Thanks for uploading.
Did you record A Brain in a Bottle by any chance?
Just uploaded a short clip
hypnotic
Awesome, but why is he singing a shortened version?
Every time I think he fucked up the lyrics, but he's just slightly shortening it instead! I can understand, cause it's a pretty long song.
I think he definitely forgot some lyrics, he didn't perform most of these songs in years
noticed that too. He skipped the part where the drums came in, probably because he has no drums, or just actually sung the wrong lyrics by mistake and went with it lol
I don't think I'm happy, Thom. I'm still lost.
you'll get your happiness soon enough
@kurco1 thanks man.
