I was at this show. I couldn't believe he played this. This is the song that got me into bass all those years ago. When he got us singing along I could feel the hairs stand up all over my body. Such a surreal and evocative experience. I can't see myself ever loving a band the way I do Radiohead. Thanks to Thom and a cracking crowd. A life highlight.
these songs mean everything to me. I have been putting off watching them, because i wouldn’t afford the gig. i’m glad Thom slayed Melbourne. i so wish I could have been there
you in melb? sydney myer's open air. i stood outside the fence with many others, could see a screen, hear it fine. ofc better being in there, but still, got some vibe for how good his voice is live
Beautiful. These solo performances are so delicate and ethereal it feels like it needs Thom to give the audience “permission” to sing. Great to hear everyone in full voice ❤️ Thanks for keeping the videos coming Elly!
Well Thom, maybe you didn't know at that time, but in 1997 you were clearly singin' about today. And this is why some of us are emotionally ready for this horrible times. So... thanks. Forever ♥
Big thanks to you Elly.. for recording while there, then putting up here for us all. ❤️. Thom is the man !!! Ps. I’d love to see some of his electronic stuff too 👏😄
It's a first for him, that was a huge moment. He tried it with jigsaw in auckland but it didn't really land as he needed to say "keep it going." You can see how happy he was that it worked here
In the next world war In a jackknifed juggernaut I am born again In the neon sign scrolling up and down I am born again In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe In a deep, deep sleep of the innocent I am born again In a fast German car I'm amazed that I survived An airbag saved my life In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe In an interstellar burst I am back to save the universe
I don't think he gets enough credit for how good a rhythm guitarist he is. His hand-voice independence is pretty crazy.
He's a great guitarist. More than rhythm

It was an amazing night
The people singing along brings back my memory of seeing RH at the Hollywood Bowl and some dude singing at the back of my head all night. lol
That was such an incredible moment 🥹

I don't think I've heard him ask for a sing a long before!
