Chad getting the death penalty, even if he stays on the death row for a long long time, ìs acknowledging the fact that his crimes were heinous enough as to worthy of the ultimate punishment. Thank you jury.
You know what makes me SO MAD? Through all of this, Chad Daybell still thinks he’s going to heaven….. what an absolute monster.

I’m not God. I don’t know where he’s going. My answer as a Jew is that is between Chad and God but if I was him, I would be worried. Of course, if I was him, I would not have cheated on my wife, took up with a lover, killed her children, killed my wife, perhaps killed my new brother in law (I find it hard to believe Alex Cox died of natural causes) and ran a cult for kicks and power so I would not be in his shoes but I also do not try to speak for God. What worries me is that this nut, Lori and his followers may now think he’s some martyr. I wonder if he will do anything past an automatic appeal. He may be looking to hurry it up and will Lori think now she wants death?
The whole thing is strange. Do his kids think he was railroaded or is a flat out martyr or both?

I thought the same thing! This is what he wants but unfortunately for him Lori won’t be for a very long time. I’m sure that wasn’t in his predictions. Maybe he thinks he’ll come back as her young lover after committing more crimes to go to prison to be with her. Insane! RIP JJ, Tylee, Tammy & Charles (& all the others we don’t know about)

They use the name Jesus to my bafflement because they have stated they feel closer to Jews and Muslims than traditional Christians.
Jews think they are the chosen and we Christians think we are.
But of course, God is no respecter of persons, so the ultimate Judge is God.
Chad and Lori may feel closer now and they may still be having visions and hearing voices of their 'angels'. They may decide to become martyrs. But martyrs to what?
His kids may still be members of the groups of preppers as many are in this part of the world.
I don't know why Chad didn't join a polygamous group and keep both women as wives and get a few more. We have them around us too.

I’m praying they find evidence to connect Chad and Emily to the murders. They knew. If anything she admitted to searching wind directions at Chads place. That puts her there helping with the murder plans. Covering for her dad’s murder makes her an accessory after the fact.

It's not like he hasn't been told what the outcome would be, it's been nearly 5 years since they murdered the kids, he's had plenty of time to prepare for the dp.

They knew they could never put her to death because of her mental illness. Chad was just a con who was making up lies to sell books but Lori actually believed in the crap he made up to get laid.
The state failed on technicalities, so judge agree with defense to take DP off the table in LV case.
Could be shock. I agree he's a horrible person, but I know if I were facing this circumstance I'd probably be frozen.
It’s still on the table in the attempted murder of Brandon and in the murder of Charles.
I don’t think he is capable of shock. I think in order to still have financial support for his legal expenses and commissary from his children, their spouses and maybe his father and some of his siblings he has to be and therefore he has convinced even himself that he is a martyr. He is what he invented he would be and it had already been „decided“ that „dark powers“ would to destroy him in this „probation“. Therefore this happened TO him.
I usually don’t think twice about such criminals dying. But if one really wants to see them suffering as much as they’ve made others suffer, I am so convinced that life in prison with no possibility of parole is the way to go.

I was, too!!! I was assuming they wouldn't want to issue a death sentence, but I was wrong! I'm very pleased and surprised by it.
They 100% did the right thing. What they did to those poor children and Tammy was brutal. It's scary to think that without the kids being searched for, Tammy would've never been exhumed and would've never received justice. Their families would've never known.

I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall when Lori is told her “prophet” got the death penalty for killing or assisting in the killing of all of them. He is going to say he is a martyr and she will agree but hopefully one day she sees she killed her FAMILY for a fat, dumpy, gross, disgusting man. No one is worth my children….especially a piece. There is a lengthy process of appeals that Death Penalty prisoners are due. There are notable cases of DP prisoners waiving their right to appeal as to hasten their punishment. Look up Gary Gilmore. And I believe Timothy McVeigh also.
@@cjking4511 The last inmate to be executed in Idaho was 2012. There are currently 8 death row inmates in Idaho.
Apparently they have had issues with acquiring the chemicals used in lethal injection which halted an execution in February. They reinstated the right to a firing squad but apparently don't have the facility to carry that out either.
Unfortunately I believe Chad will be under our penny for quite some time.

I am not so sure I am comfortable with Chad getting the DP when Lori, the mother of the two children and instigator of the relationship between Chad and Lori, only got a lifetime sentence. She started this whole mess, but he gets the harder punishment?
There was some sort of deal where the DP got taken off the table for Lori. Life without parole for her and Chad will be around a long time on death row.

He received the Death Penalty.
I heard the judge give 15 years also so I assume he was to serve 15 years in prison first. He also has another dp case in Arizona so this case is not really over yet.
He will probably spend 20yrs on death row before they carry out his sentence. The 15yrs was only for the insurance fraud, even though he will never leave prison.
