This is the heroic version of the Lost City of the Tol'vir with a few surprises and an angry pygmy.

Please note that if you point out 'Blessing of Might' and don't know that in Cataclysm BoM and BoW are the same buff, then you haven't been paying any attention over the past few months and you will get mocked for it. Trying to be a smartass on my channel generally means receiving a beatdown.
Ive watched every single video TB has put out to date. Always enjoyed them, and this is no different. It is like a window into the future. Ive learned from his videos where to go in cata to enjoy the game the most.
@Rasenganprod Spot the guy who started playing with Wrath and doesn't know how level/stat scaling works.
For the nubbish amongst you. Here is how it works. The higher the level you go, the more rating is required per percentage point of spellcrit. With Cataclysm, they increase the amount of rating required MASSIVELY. At Level 70, you needed 22.08 rating to get a %, at 80 you need 45.91 and at 85 you need 179.31
This has been today's remedial class for Wrath-rollers. I'll see you next time.
@plaguuu Congratulations, you did not understand the context of that statement, plus I never said 'it sucks'. This is the problem when people don't listen, they make things up.
Frostfire Glyph is not a good glyph to pick in the context of a frost spec, because you're only casting it maybe 2 or 3 times a minute. It is however, a good glyph in the context of a fire spec, where you use it as your main nuke.
@MegaLethen At some point. I wasn't going to use frost when the other mage was also using frost, suboptimal when you could have the nice 5% crit and the replenishment in the same group (which allowed me to use Molten Armour more since I had some form of mana regen tool).
@RealGamedale I haven't done an SFK video yet because SFK is broken as all hell and not worth looking at until they fix the final boss.

The 4 raids that will be in on release are Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent, Throne of the Four Winds and Baradin Hold (the new VoA.. *eww*). The Firelands will be coming out in a patch after that.

@Canazza Not even close to as extreme, just look at the numbers. Blizzard already stated they don't want a repeat of Wrath where people had too much crit and did too much dps.
That said, if you just care about numbers on a meter and not about doing enough DPS to kill the boss with it's current tuning then you're doing it wrong anyway. What matters is downing the boss in the most efficient way possible. If we're all tuned to do less dps than in Wrath, so be it.

@TotalHalibut It's a long time known mechanic, but sort of subtle. For example your standing in a voidzone that will explode and kill you in 3 seconds, you jump out of the circle before the last second and it explodes but you die. What happened is that your considered to still be in the circle until you land but if you are in mid air you are still free game. As a healer, I notice this alot and people whine to me "But i wasn't in the voidzone/ooze/slime/fire etc. "

@20kitten How could you have not noticed this, RUclips has worked this way since it launched, it is not some new phenomenon, it's common as muck and happens to every new video straight after upload.

From what I saw in your videos the final boss of that place is an air elemental, the air elementals are allied with Deathwing, and they promised this group of Tol'vir a cure for the 'curse of flesh'. The Tol'vir who didn't ally with Deathwing were kicked out of the city and now fight against Deathwing's force's presence in Uldum. That's it I guess?
Looks like a fun heroic and pretty quick to get through aswell. Like the idea of frostfire bolt instead of fireball in your rotation. I have a mage myself will certainly try both frost & fire in cataclysm

just to help some people out..... if you set your main spells/ attacks to your mouse (scroll up and down and other buttons) it makes things much easier when you are trying to use spells quickly and still use your other hand to move. it's helped me alot hope it will help you.

Jusging from many of the comments usually found on TB's videos, alot of people are gonna have a hard time fdoing well in cata:P

Wow! Bosses look great and trash is at just the right amount like you said. I think one of the best parts is the environment, very impressed by all the details and colors.
biscuit not sure if anyone told you they ruined fireball and frostfire, fireball no longer does DOT and frostfire the glyph takes away the slowing effect so its either have slow or dot fireball is basically useless now though.

I find that the second boss in BRC or as my guild calls her "Netherspite lights" is a really fun boss, and usually if you have a lock you can fear the dragons that spawn...makes the dps pay attention and caused a group of lvl 83+ wipe
Some of the best boss fights are the ones which force you to be alert and active. And who wouldn't want to jump around like a bean?
Even though i dont play WoW and havent for 4 or 5 years (when the cap was 60) , i still enjoy your videos, very entertaining :)
it looks like a cool place, I like that there aren't a lot of things that you can just outgear.

Holy crap. The stats on that 2-handed polearm are incredible. It's almost twice as powerful as shadowmourne (chaos bane excluded).
@kingratboy2 it's designed for a very broad audience - the graphics are certainly appealing to a younger audience. but at higher levels the standards of concentration, knowledge, reflexes and the level of coordination required really means that that part of the game is designed for people with a more mature mindset. Not to mention the social skills needed to play the game without instantly annoying the hell out of everyone you meet (which tbh a lot of adults who play the game sadly lack too lol)
I'm thinking it might be worth starting with a pyroblast instead of a scorch for the pyroblast dot. Don't know if you've tried playing around with this? It would make the rotation pretty damn hard though if we had to keep pyroblast dot up, while keeping the 3 stack of ffb glyph, while also keeping living bomb up and then using fireball as a filler.
for every crybaby there are dozens if not hundreds of people sitting quietly in the shadows, enjoying your videos and appreciating the hard work you put into them.

It's only 30 seconds for 20 minute videos. Well worth it in my opinion.
Idk if they changed it in heroic, but in normal you can hop on the crocodile statues and the little crocs dont damage you.
Cataclysm is a great turning point for WoW. Heroics are quite tough and normal mode is easy enough for the casual player...or those who have no skill.
@TotalHalibut Ah yes Firelands, the Raid that someone in every first time group will try to have a Sulfuras to see how Rag reacts.
I notice you are using FFB in your rotation now - did you find something new aside from your mage guides? Also I see dragon's breath. Are you still experimenting or did you find a solid new fire rotation?
TB do you think that cataclysm might discourage people from being a healer or tank, as some of the content is to hard or do you think the questing for some classes explains how to do these tasks? One last thing please don't beat down on any spelling or grammar mistakes I try my best and I'm still configuring my spell check.I think you have an amazing podcast(blue plz).I use to listen to The Instance but now i listen to yours for informationand great perspective and theres for Comedic Purposes
@WOWLionblood That's a new hunter ability. It's camo. It protects against ranged attacks.....I think.
I can just imagine it, I'm just walking around my area its all nice and sunny, then it randomly starts raining.... "Ah someone must be summoning Siamat again."

Love how total says the trash is trivial around 2:30 and you see health of the tank drop from 100% to 10% in just over a sec
Is absorb storms based on range? It's just that it seems to me that his AoE lightning thing is a punishment for getting ti wrong; Attacks that require LoSing dont normally last that long, and dps race phases dont normally start at 90%. Also, why would they put in an arbitrary middle step in the process, instead of just making siamat cast it when a minion dies? It -looks- like you're meant to have the tank keep him away from the clouds....

I'm not sure of this is in the beta yet but I'll ask anyway.'I think they may be redoing blackwing lair. Because you can fly to Nefarians little balcony at blackrock mountain and there's a meeting stone there. Would you consider checking it out.

At 80 in your quality of gear, I'm guessing your crit chance is over 40%. At 85 in premade gear, you have about a 10% chance to crit.
Question: What would you do with a more melee oriented group (any melee), if you didn't have lust, and if you didn't have a poison cleanse/Enrage dispel, all very common scenerios for a 5 man group.
@mikejclark okey understand your situation O: luckely for you this expansion will give other opportunities to get epics too, by running around in the world doing long quest lines and getting reputaion will give you epics, Atleast what I've heard. So what makes this expansion so great is, if your a raider you'll get epics, and if you're an adventurer you will get epics too. Rly nice imo
Please tell me the gear is placeholder, I don't want more brown cloth that has no variation from start to finish. Otherwise, looking good. Thanks for all the videos

@bombetta81 It's the new blessing of might, increases attack power as well as mana regen. They've combined the old might and wis.

looks like a good dungeon though, the bosses seem alot more fun than some I've seen decent amount of trash and wierd zombie pygmy guys, what more can you ask for?
@someonefromthisworld Why not? Healing does not look hard, it just looks like I (as a healer) will not be able to go "okay guys, its heroic gundrak, lol tank go ret, I'll heal it)
Or you stand in a fire, and its not a big deal because hey I can heal thru it. Right now with the strength of healers, you can heal thru mechanics in raids, which is really poor gameplay.

Lost city tol'vir looks one of ym favourites 5 mans in cata... the look of it is great plus the boss mechanics are neat blizz seemed to learn their mistakes from wrath but also improve the strong ponits of wrath. yes wrath raids and hcs were too easy but some of the mechanics are pretty neat especially ulduar
I dunno about AoE mana cost becoming very costly, but I do know that rogues are getting the energy cost for Fan of Knives reduced by 15!
This'll make rogues much useful for AoE when they are glyphed.

Hey TB! I have a quick question. Why are you using Frostfire Bolt? Maybe i missed a video where u explained it. Is it more damage or a debuff it gives? As you can see im not a mage :p . Hehe.

Glad to see a bear tank, hope they are more prominent. Or more warrior tanks, or more then dks and pallies :D I hope one of the big things in cata is balancing everyone, seems like its the case.

So TotalHailbut, you have been doing both normal and heroic dungeons for quite some time on the Beta. How do the tanks stack up, which tank would you prefer for dungeons, and why. I've heard bears and dk's are thee tanks to have, both for threat, and spike dmg. Curious to what you think about the tanks in the current build.

So, like, are Frost Dk's the new AoE kings? I've been a Frost DK since release, and Howling Blast has received a pretty nice damage buff, no longer has a cooldown, and only takes one Frost rune as opposed to Frost and UH now, so resources are even less of an issue.
Mind running with a Frost DK to try it? Or if I get into beta I'll give a shot with you =P Long time raider, know my stuff.

This one was by far one of the easiest heroic pre nerf. Although last boss was a really healer intensive fight.
Would you suggest on Heroic to make it so that the LoS blockers glow when active, and blink when it shuts down to make the fight a bit harder, some other gimmick, or do you like the balance that it is at atm?
