She screamed while she was crying to be precise, and its true, fits awesomly well with the theory!! Not only she flics the lights at Sully's appartment but the entire building! That's gotta be some kind of superpower!!
Yes, but her screaming while crying only made the lights much brighter - in that one apartment. It's when she starts laughing that the building's power blows - which is meant to lead to the ending, where the monsters get their power from cracking jokes and doing slapstick/improv

@@mitab1 it doesn't have to be, the point of the comment wasn't that everything has to be gay. It was to point out that most historical instances of homosexuality were chalked up to friendships. Which brings up the point of "Why does everything have to be straight?"
Actually that makes it 100 times sadder, they were a gay couple just trying to survive in the 50s and suddenly one of them dies and left the other with 5 other kids to raise all alone.
Artemis Wolf OMG your so right. That’s so sad. I caught on to the then being a couple but the thought of no one knowing that because it’s the 1950s and one of them is dead sounds horrible.
Well, when wealthy estates are involved the rules suddenly become exceptionally relaxed. Plus, owning an estate like the Wayne's comes with A LOT of paper work, so it's not unreasonable to assume that the Wayne's had the necessary paperwork filed to legally make Alfred the legal guardian in an emergency. I say this having worked with wealthy estates personally. But as for Scott's situation, sure the Supers might have made some money but not to the degree of the Wayne family. So they wouldn't have gotten the preferential treatment afforded to the Wayne's (in terms of relaxed rules), but they also wouldn't have been as able to acquire the necessary paperwork to allow Scott to maintain family status with the children adopted by Thunderhead. But having the money for all the extra paperwork is only part of the problem. Many areas of the country have laws that actively forbid gay couples from having legal family protections. That means when Thunderhead died, the children would have been immediately taken from Scott and distributed across the foster system, with Scott not being allowed to maintain contact. Assuming Thunderhead died when Boo (Mary) was still little, she would likely have very few memories of Scott - with memories of Sully being MUCH more unique and easy to remember. That all said, my points mostly focus on Scott not being allowed to be an ACTUAL father to Boo - rather than on how she could have still looked up to him as a father figure, like you were talking about. On that particular note, I think it is entirely plausible that my last point has some merit, that she didn't have many memories of Scott due to her youth and the main reason she remembers Sully is because Sully is so unique. But there's also the high possibility that given the wide spread prejudices that exist even today, Boo may have been actively discouraged from knowing anything about Scott - while Sully was just assumed to be an imaginary friend. In addition, for a young child it is hard to understand why one parent figure might simply disappear, she might have felt confused and abandoned when she was inevitably taken away from Scott and might have resented him for "leaving" her, despite the lack of choice either of them had in the situation. Hope that helps, sorry it was long.
k9commander father figure. Not actual father. The idea is that Scott would be able to stand in as her father just as thunder punch had and just as boo wanted.
MrEevee no he's saying that once Thunderhead died all the kids would be put in an orphanage because the roommate wouldn't have been able to get custody. Once Thunderhead's real identity was acknowledged as officially deceased all the legal stuff would come in like a hammer.
Thunderhead raises adopted children with his roommate Scott? Kind of just sounds like a euphemism for a gay couple raising an adopted family... I’m not trying to start any controversy, it’s just a thought.
"Her adopted dad Thunderhead's cape gets caught on a missile and he dies and five year old Boo spends the rest of her life looking for the only other father figure she ever knew, Sully, and eventually goes on to become the witch in Brave." THE ONLY FATHER FIGURE SHE EVER KNEW? WHAT ABOUT SCOTT???
What if Scott couldn't handle the kids, gives them all up for adoption, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible adopt Boo, nickname her Violet because of her eyes and abilities, they die, then Violet mysteriously "dissapears", actually time travelling, spending the rest of her life in a loop, trying to find a way to see Sully again.
Oh, Thunderhead just happens to be raising five kids with his "roommate," Scott? In the 50s and 60s? Yep, Thunderhead and Scott are totally just roommates. Just bros being bros. Dudes being guys. That's not code or anything, no siree.
*Another theory* Meta Man NSA file says he died in action with a suit malfunction. Maybe him being indecisive DID mean he cheated on Edna. And if they were close there’s a possibility Edna made Meta Mans suit and maybe she found out that he cheated and was angry that they had a baby together but still cheated so killed him by giving him a cape even though she knows supers should NEVER wear capes
It's possible, but the only two super suits we KNOW she made back in the day ( Mr. Incredible's and Elastigirl's) both lack capes. Then again, Bob didn't know Edna was anti capes
Alice Lacson To quote Syndrome, "Wow, that's a little dark for you." Putting blood on an innocent character's hands is not a good thing. Edna is so career focused it seems unlikely that she would even fall for someone, especially a client.
Only one of them was the legal guardian. If they found out that Scott was anymore than a 'roommate' the children would not be put in the care of him. He may have been put in prison or worse for homosexuality.
"single father, adopted 5 kids with the help of his "roommate" Scott"... Remember this is the 50s. It sounds like boo was raised my 2 dads if you ask me.
Boo being a Super lends credibility to the Witch's magic. Considering Jak-Jak has a whole host of powers, Boo could have many powers too. What if the Witch's "magic" was really just her using her Super powers, and keeping it all concealed behind herbs and incantations?
If she CAN teleport and theoretically manipulate space because of it, it means she could also theoretically manipulate time. That being said, your new theory solidifies the theory that she is the witch from Brave even further.
that got me thinking. what if, hear me out on this, what if she found a way use her teleportation ability to teleport back in time to try to find sully when he was going into her room. she did it successfully but didn’t see him walking in because he isn’t actually coming from the outside of her room but coming from the future. she doesn’t see him go through the door and thinks that maybe he was only in her imagination. the thought that the only person that she felt cared about her (because her parents gave her away) didn’t really exist terrifies her. she goes crazy and eventually goes back in time to live a much simpler life and becomes the witch in Brave. and maybe she disappears through door because of her ability to teleport.
@@littlemonster...O_o she also has a crazy fascination with bears, which despite calling Sully “Kitty” would be all you would remember about a large, fluffy, sharp-toothed animal from your childhood. Explains why she’s used the same spell twice to turn people in bears. On top of that yes there is a wood carving of Sully that forms a Celtic knot at the bottom. The other interesting part is she has a magical door, which activates when leaving and clicking her fingers, then returning. Definitely more to it than most people think.
Anti-Furry Association "It may have something to do with biology." "What do you mean by that?" "A biological component. You know, something in their... DNA." @@julyakacarrie6260 This is actually false. While the name Jack Jack is a play on words to mean “Jack of all trades”, all supers develop multiple powers as children before settling on one or a few, though Jack Jack may be a rare case in which he keeps all of his powers.
I don’t watch pirates of the Caribbean but I’m pretty sure that’s an action movie with REAL people.... I’m pretty sure they aren’t cartoons like the incredibles and monsters inc. I’m pretty sure that isn’t possible. Oh and quick question. Is Pirates of the Caribbean a Pixar movie, or Disney ??
Xoleiya Xo Oh, I'm sorry... Who *owns* Pixar again? Oh, right, *Disney.* Year 2006, $7.4 Billion. Easy Google search. Oops. Yes, Pirates released in 2003 and Monsters, Inc. was in 2001, but did *anyone* have any answers for this video's question back then? No; so excuse us for having some fun. Leave these good, enthusiastic fans alone and keep your trash to yourself, killjoy.
This theory would be bittersweet for Edna’s character arc if it was cannon- Jack Jack allows Edna to further improve her line of work/research of supers AND provides the experience of parenting (being the child she never had while Edna still isn’t responsible for him). Edna NEEDS A BACKSTORY!!!
Especially in the 1950s, gay couples pretend to be roommates. Obviously most roommates aren't secretly gay, but if they raise children *together*? They're practically married.
No she just has teleportation as far as we know... she tries to find Sully again by studying the doors and trying to figure out how they work and figures out that they are actually time travelers. On this channel they think that Boo purposefully went back in time to create an eternal time loop so that the memory of Sully would never die. My theory is that Boo just did it the wrong way so instead of going forward in time to where Sully is she went back in time instead and ended up maybe like 30-50 something years before the events of brave. She instantly realised something had gone wrong but it was too late, the doors didn’t work back anymore. So she spent the rest of her life trying to find a way back by using magic and witchcraft instead. She manages to make her doors into some kind of teleportation method so she can switch between a witch house and a woodcarving store because people tend to want her help with magic and then blame her for the results, but they still don’t travel in time. She doesn’t ever show any way to be immortal I don’t know why you’d think that. In the events of monsters inc she was just 2 and my guess is she was around 80-100 in brave, so she doesn’t actually show any signs of immortality.
Emokid 2004 I'm pretty sure they are canon as being a couple. "Raising kids with his roommate Scott" is about as close as Pixar would likely get in 2004 to saying "Thunderhead is gay and he raised 5 kids with his partner Scott."
Cassidy Dingman THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE Rob Gibbs and Scott Morse have directed a pixar short, and if you see the names this makes sense. Rob Gibbs is Thunderhead’s real name and Scott Morse is Scott.
Cassidy, I'd say more to do with the movie taking place in the 50's/60's when "raising kids with his roommate Scott" was as close to having a family as a gay couple could legally be.
Emokid 2004 pretty sure they were gay and because at that point in time ( especially the first incredibles movie) calling them roommates would be something people would do. You know not calling them a couple but calling them " special friends " or something like that rather than just say they're a couple.
Velton Hix You know what that could be, because why would Boo keep her biological last name? It’d make more sense for her to take her adoptive parents last name. I’d say one or both of them are Mr Gibbs, but I’m not sure they would publicly share the same last name because homosexuality wasn’t accepted in the 1960s and that’s when the movie is set
I'm assuming that Thunderhead is Mr. Gibbs since, legally, he is her adoptive father. Why would the child take the name of her adoptive parent's 100% completely heterosexual life partner after all
What if Boo is also Void? Void’s power relates to teleportation too. Her hair is (presumably) dyed so she could have black hair. Growing up she could use that power to find out how to make the doors to go back in time to become the Brave witch.
UGH that would be awesome and fits except the second incredibles was 1962 or 1963 and Boo was about 2 around 1955, so she could only be around 10, not nearly old enough.
What about the family portrait Boo drew? I don't think it matches up. Edit: Never mind, the drawing in question in Boo's room contains 4 figures labelled as Mary, an unintelligible word, Katy, and Pops. If he adopted 5 children, Boo doesn't have to be the youngest. Maybe this drawing takes place back when she had less siblings. (Or she could have just not included her whole family in the picture.) I felt the need to correct myself.
One thing: generally when children are adopted, they take their adoptive parents' surname (not always, I imagine, but a majority of the time). Why would Mary still have MetaMan/"Mr Gibbs"s surname after being adopted by ThunderHead? Wouldn't it be more likely that ThunderHead is Mr Gibbs?

Yeah “roommate”
Actually that makes it 100 times sadder, they were a gay couple just trying to survive in the 50s and suddenly one of them dies and left the other with 5 other kids to raise all alone.
Artemis Wolf OMG your so right. That’s so sad. I caught on to the then being a couple but the thought of no one knowing that because it’s the 1950s and one of them is dead sounds horrible.

I know I'm late, but I was just about to say this. So he's a single dad to FIVE kids with his "roommate"...mhm
And also in the time line in the 50s it was socially unexpected to be gay so that is why he is seen when he died a “flirting” with the woman he saved
Who else wants to learn more about Scott after watching this?
He sounds delightful
Pixar’s first Gay couple!
Dammit, I really wished it was Sarge and Fillmore from the Cars movies.

@@Storm-bv7pc Yeah pretty much
12:58 "only other father figure she ever knew" this is scott erasure
#scottvisibility
Or a simple acknowledgement of the laws of the time - since Scott would have not been allowed to keep the adopted children after Thunderhead died.
just me at home yeah, but he said father *figure*, which scott could still be to boo.
Also, Alfred was allowed to keep batman
The only flaw in that argument: Boo doesn't need to search for another father figure because (as far as we know) she still has Scott!
Aisling
The issue is that in those days, the "roommate" would not be able to gain legal custody of the children.
Aisling and her 4 siblings
k9commander father figure. Not actual father. The idea is that Scott would be able to stand in as her father just as thunder punch had and just as boo wanted.
k9commander He still would have been a better father figure than a giant blue monster.
MrEevee no he's saying that once Thunderhead died all the kids would be put in an orphanage because the roommate wouldn't have been able to get custody. Once Thunderhead's real identity was acknowledged as officially deceased all the legal stuff would come in like a hammer.

*Another theory*
Meta Man NSA file says he died in action with a suit malfunction.
Alice Lacson whoa🤯
He was cheating on Edna with another suit designer, who made him that suit
I think she didn't have that philosophy back then. I think that the Supers who died wearing her suits are the _reason_ she doesn't do capes.
Sully's not the only father figure... What about Scott?
BrickByBrick maybe since thunderhead (don't know his name) died Scott moved out
Scott moved on and did what exactly to the 5 children in his care?
Orrrr, Scott was his partner.
Exactly what I thought when he said that. Doesn’t hurt the theory though
Only one of them was the legal guardian. If they found out that Scott was anymore than a 'roommate' the children would not be put in the care of him. He may have been put in prison or worse for homosexuality.
Do you think that thunderhead could be Mr Gibbs? If boo was adopted, she may have taken the name of her adoptive parents...

I’m so confused on how the witch from brave got into this? How did she become the witch from brave? Did she time travel?? I’m so confused

Teleportation, time travel, and immortality. She is the witch from Brave, right? 🤔...
She’s stuck in a endless time loop
The complete Pixar theory in a nutshell
It's a theory lol
Call this a time-loop, because we just came full-circle.

Who else ships thunder head and his room mate Scott😂😂
Emokid 2004
I'm pretty sure they are canon as being a couple. "Raising kids with his roommate Scott" is about as close as Pixar would likely get in 2004 to saying "Thunderhead is gay and he raised 5 kids with his partner Scott."
Cassidy Dingman THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE
Rob Gibbs and Scott Morse have directed a pixar short, and if you see the names this makes sense. Rob Gibbs is Thunderhead’s real name and Scott Morse is Scott.
Deluxshin OH MY GOD
Cassidy, I'd say more to do with the movie taking place in the 50's/60's when "raising kids with his roommate Scott" was as close to having a family as a gay couple could legally be.
Emokid 2004 pretty sure they were gay and because at that point in time ( especially the first incredibles movie) calling them roommates would be something people would do. You know not calling them a couple but calling them " special friends " or something like that rather than just say they're a couple.
Can you guys do a theory on Mirage? I really want to find out who she is! Love you guys!
Would that make Scott thunderheads lover and/or mr Gibbs?
Velton Hix You know what that could be, because why would Boo keep her biological last name? It’d make more sense for her to take her adoptive parents last name. I’d say one or both of them are Mr Gibbs, but I’m not sure they would publicly share the same last name because homosexuality wasn’t accepted in the 1960s and that’s when the movie is set
I'm assuming that Thunderhead is Mr. Gibbs since, legally, he is her adoptive father. Why would the child take the name of her adoptive parent's 100% completely heterosexual life partner after all
