Our chocolate frogs in South Africa were made of Turkish delight dipped in chocolate. It actually felt like a squishy frog! (This was many years ago!) Also, also, the quality of candy depends on which country it was made in. I had a proper chocolate frog from the Netherlands which was Belgian chocolate. Also, I got Dumbledore :D
Had to watch the whole video to figure out for the life of me why I had a notification to watch this video today. Yet, I am in fact watching this video on July 16, 2021😌
I totally agree that i think all the candy in some way has to be whimsical or have some type of magical surprise to it. Like the chocolate flies should have something along the lines of a gusher inside. something sweet that pops like a jelly when you bite it. Or maybe the chocolate cauldron should be filled with marshmallow, not just the top layering and then be hollow. And maybe you can get it different flavors of marshmallow like sweet, sour, spicy, or whatever. I think that the fizzing whizzbies should have been a sour candy, like the acid pops, with the pop rocks in the center instead of a chocolate candy with pop rocks. It is just to similar to the exploding bon bons.
Thank you so much for being so descriptive about the flavors. Really appreciated that. I like the interaction between the two of you. It's easy to see that you're not just brothers but your friends as well.
I thought it was fine, what I didn't like was that is was solid. I thought it would be like the chocolate bunnies you get at easter, but no joke, it was so hard to eat I still had it almost a year later. I decided to just smash it up and eat the pieces. The card was great though, with that foil effect that changes when you turn it.
I loved the fact that it was solid! I bought one when I was in Florida and the frog lasted me three days! It's soooooo much better than the UK one cause that ones smaller and less impressive. I do like the UK fizzing whizbees ^^
I remember liking the chocolate frog. I was confused that they didn't like it...until I realized it was a different chocolate frog. The one I had was small and soft, one of the ones they sold at books-a-million when the books originally came out.
The Chocolate Flies probably hit a FDA regulation issue regarding the insect content of various food types... Like they have actual tests and rules for how much insect is in that chocolate to begin with, and putting a whole fly in on purpose (instead of the rest that is in there by accident) will instantly exceed those limits. -Shawn
I don’t know why that tickled me so much but the “it was better than the flies” comment was hilarious. Like imagine if someone’s not fully listening and just heard that part 😂😂😂
There's so many small tweaks they could make for make these candies so cool its disheartening they don't. Like putting rice crisps in the chocolate fries for that "crunch" of a "bug". Or having the coldron cake be like a cadbury egg with a little marshmellow fluff inside dyed fun colors to look like a "brew" you find inside that could be diffrent flavors and you don't find out until you bite in. Or imagine even the chocolate frogs coming in different fun colors of the hearts house corresponding with the house the card rep was in? So many fun ideas they could do but they never will :(

also, that they haven't seen coconut ice and rock before...such old fashioned basic sweets, but why would they have had them unless they were visiting a Tenby or blackpool or something XD
@@bettycrash3092 I'm Australian and a school bake sale isnt complete without some coconut ice, one of my faves
Id be that wizard on the train with a bag full of muggle sweets. #undetectableexpansioncharm
It’s July 16 2021 Guys!!! Hey Jen and B!
I think you should also start recording audiobooks of harry potter and other fandoms 📘🎧
It's so weird seeing Americans rate Wine Gums so high, because to me they're so basic. I like them but I'd never rate them highly. 😂
Wine Gums are ELITE
I know 😂 such an old fashion sweet. Like lemon sherbets and Bon bons haha
I like them and i would rate them high and im British.
this is True for the off brand ones but maynards bassets are the best wine gums as they're elite
I don't really rate wine gums, fruit pastilles are better
Love that the “B” is upside down
Everyone: ewww a fly😬
J and Ben: why isn't there a fly in here😒
If your friend did not say "I'll take the lot" when buying all this, you need a new friend.
True
Maybe Percy needs to write a report on the cauldron thickness of the chocolate cauldrons.
I just realized I’m a day away from the July 16th, 2021 expiration date on the acid pops. 🤣 34:20 Awesome! 😂
I love that they made a "Gred and Forge" reference! 😂 😂 😂
"Last episode of Super Carlin Brothers..."
*panic*
"Of 2020"
Oh thank goodness
Same i was like No n- of 2020 oh good there is still more
Panik then Kalm
So they're not posting this week?
@@lilliemillward4870 sad. I’m wanting a review of Soul!!!
Our chocolate frogs in South Africa were made of Turkish delight dipped in chocolate. It actually felt like a squishy frog! (This was many years ago!)
Also, also, the quality of candy depends on which country it was made in. I had a proper chocolate frog from the Netherlands which was Belgian chocolate. Also, I got Dumbledore :D
Was it Turkish delight I could have sworn it was a gummy filling
Had to watch the whole video to figure out for the life of me why I had a notification to watch this video today. Yet, I am in fact watching this video on July 16, 2021😌
same here haha
Chocolate frogs, fudge flies, and dark mark lollipops are my favorites:)
I've never been this early. Merry Christmas, brothers.
ME EITHER!! MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas, hope you have a good one!
🎄🎄🎄
100th like and merry christmas
Jonathan and Ben switching the sweaters hurt my brain the entire time
Bruh me too. I literally couldn’t remember their names because I was thinking ab their shirts too much
J*.. not Jay
Jonathan Carlin
I'm guessing that if they were the other way round, might be something else!
Sorry i put jay not Jonathan mb
The fact you both watch/have seen some of the gbbo (great british bake off) and know Paul Hollywood's name just totally made my day
Around 14:13 they just started having a surge of memory’s all at once. I was not sure what I was listening to. 😂
Wise words from Jen: “Guys, this tub be HUGE”
"These socks are amazing!"
I think you mean Jen?
@@mastercraft64 I was about to comment that, ha!
@@mastercraft64 Fixed it!!
Haha the opposite shirts 😂
Ok I just realized this is probably a reference to Greg and Forge!!
Oh wow. Yeah I didn’t till you said something! 😂😂 Gred and Forge and Bay and Jen
I think its more to do with the fact that BJ means "something else"!
I am confused about something. In this they say his name is J, just the one letter, but his personal channel is called Jonathan Carlin, sooooo????
@@claudeanello3362 his full name is Jonathan but if you are going to call him J, it is just the letter
I love the fact that Fred and George’s candy is one of their highest ranked items.
I really LOOOVE this vid you should do more like this!
I just realized that they get paid to be cool nerds on RUclips!🤣
Ben: Reeeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyy?
J: yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaa!
📢💡 Suggestion to J and Ben: Have an episode where you try to re-create or make your own Hogwarts candies 💡
It is just to similar to the exploding bon bons.
giggling like children with the Bertie Botts... that should be a 100. 🤣
Thank you so much for being so descriptive about the flavors. Really appreciated that. I like the interaction between the two of you. It's easy to see that you're not just brothers but your friends as well.
Right?! I love their relationship
Me: *tries chocolate frog and loves it*
Ben and J: “It’s awful!”
Same! I loved the chocolate frog when I tried it 💀
I loved the fact that it was solid!
In New Zealand there are some chocolate frogs that are hard blocks of chocolate filled with Rice Krispies and they taste amazing.

I don’t know why that tickled me so much but the “it was better than the flies” comment was hilarious. Like imagine if someone’s not fully listening and just heard that part 😂😂😂
29:57 lol
Ben: “I did ok!”
J: “You did pretty bad”
There's so many small tweaks they could make for make these candies so cool its disheartening they don't. Like putting rice crisps in the chocolate fries for that "crunch" of a "bug". Or having the coldron cake be like a cadbury egg with a little marshmellow fluff inside dyed fun colors to look like a "brew" you find inside that could be diffrent flavors and you don't find out until you bite in. Or imagine even the chocolate frogs coming in different fun colors of the hearts house corresponding with the house the card rep was in? So many fun ideas they could do but they never will :(

Brother in the blue sweater: And I am... where is my chair?
