I've some pretty big cojones and I tip my hat to you, sir. Those leaves are no joke... thought I had it bad with submerged logs and branches in the swamp. Cannot wait to get my 790S up to T.O.T.D. and the surrounding trails in January.
@@Windblown Tail of the Dragon on the TN/NC border. That and the Cherohala Skyway/Blue Ridge Parkway are some of my favorite roads. Looking forward to hitting the trails around there I wouldn't try on my VF750 Magna, haha!
If it looks steep on video, it's twice that in reality, and that looks real steep in parts. Love seeing videos adventure videos from the East Coast. I head down to a beach house on Chincoteague Island, VA several times a year from NE Ohio. I looked to see where Damascus, VA was in relation to my route down there. Not really close. lol I think your colorful use of language and situational improvisation seem pretty inline and is directionally proportional with the "oh s**t" factor being experienced BTW. I made a graph inside my head using locally available cobwebs, and the angiushional intensity of your narrative during your ascent, correlates especially nice with the possibility of an unanticipated right side descent.
It's a fun trail. The narrow parts got into my head the most. Kept thinking about who I'd call to come with block and tackle to drag the bike back up if I dropped off the side. Lol. If you do get over that way there is a lot of good riding both street and dirt.
Trail starts out from the north side of Damascus VA. I don't recall the street name it's on. The street just ends and the trail begins. There is a sign at the start indicating the section is approved for use by motorcycles. This is important as further up the trail there are other hiking trails that are NOT approved for motorcycles so be aware so that you don't end up on a hiking only trail. The trail dumps out onto a forest road which takes you out to rt 58.
Damn I love it, great video. I wamt to take my Himalayan on that yrail next year. It is going to be crazy for sure.
Wow, nice. Shows what the bike is capable of.
Glad to see they havent updated the signs lol. You did great man! Pretty sure thats the biggest bike thats been on there!
Hahaha. The signs definitely look like they have seen better days. I'm ready to do it again, this time just my tools on the bike. :)

At least it wasn't wet leaves. :) So, T.O.T.D - What's that stand for?

Scary seep at thr right side there. Great with an overnighter, did you have a vreat outlook at the place? Is that a BC30 combined with R80?
Nah. It's the Stinger 22l that comes with the R80 I have on the back.
Where is the start of this trail? I'd like to try it. Is there a trail head?
