Clearly the camera operator is disgruntled/failed guitarist. He refused to even include Jay’s guitar work in frame during verses! Deliberately just a smidge to high to capture guitar, but the upper wall looks good. 👍
I know he's not underrated to his fans, but J Mascis is an underrated/undertalked about guitar player. I love his style. I'd call his soloing feel style (which is typically my favorite) but that's just me.
You're so right about his soloing style. He improvises every solo. He never plays it the same twice. That's why he feels it so much, he expresses the emotions he is feeling in that instance through his guitar playing. It's amazing to watch.
They are just incredible. Such a cool track. Saw DJ live this week in Bristol, J speaks more at the beginning of this video than he did the whole gig. Legend.
i thought he said "Amy, watch the corners" I thought holy shit J mentioned someone in a song. "Hey ME ! ofcourse. my favorite band ever. they were all mine for years. Now they are getting repect. seen them over 20 times and the fog with Mike Watt which was a highlight. J has to be one of the top guitarists out there, pardon the pun. top twenty ever.
Lou Barlow is a great bassist, even better guitarist, and even better singer. Sebadoh is my all time favorite band Barlow is in. Folk Implosion is great too, but honestly, the stuff where Lou sings is the best.
J said in a recent interview that he didn't know how to palm mute until "about 2 years ago". You can see here that that riff is not palm muted even though it sounds like it hahahaha.
@@DavySolaris if you listen to watch the corners, i just realized that it's one track played normally and another track layered below it which is all left-hand muting and that's why it sounds palm muted
They come naturally when you feel It inside you....of course when you have gained much experience to dont have to think about the riythm part when playing,Is not Rocket science unfortunatly so i cant help you more than this
Tight. As always. Hey folks, if you like this, check out J's solo stuff. It's also fucking great. J Mascis. It's a bit more Mello but very strong guitar riffs of course. Check out See you at the movies in my head.
In the car with my older brother with this song playing Him: 'I'll put $20 on the line if I can guess your favourite part of this song because I definitely just know what it is' Me: 'Well fine, if I'm that predictable' Him: 'Babbyyyy watch the corners, watch me 'cos I know what you've done Me: 'FINE YA GOT ME'
A great song and a great 90s rock band but unfortunetely very underated to bands of their era ( nirvana, alice in chains, pearl jam, smashing pumpklns ,stone temple pilots and etc.)
hey camerman, film the guitarist in the solos.
Massive fail.
The director dictates what's on screen. Yeah, it sucks, but it's not the cameraman.
Editor sucks alot
Probably should blame the editor more than the cameraman
Clearly the camera operator is disgruntled/failed guitarist. He refused to even include Jay’s guitar work in frame during verses!

I love that J plays guitar like a drummer and Lou plays bass like a guitarist.😉👍
Jay is a drummer
@@JBmusicart Yes. That's what I was referring to.
@@Rob954ever so then by extension, does Murph plays drums like a bassist ? 😉
Murph is in charge
and Lou is a guitarist
I adore this song.
whole song is fucking rocking but god damn I love the chorus of this song so much. the music plus J's vocal line flows so well together
Tellement vrai !
I WANT TO SEE J'S HANDS DAMMIT
PirateDynamics yeah ikr
Amateur hour. Sounds good but that's because it's dinosaur Jr. Doesn't look like they set up right horrible angles
I wanna learn this fucking song
95bFM: "but here's the bassist's hand. That's just as good, right?"
@@mrwashur1991 i mean yeah, Lou plays like a virtuoso
I love love love J's signature guitar sound.
This song is so much better live. They play it faster than on the recorded version.
They're tearing it up, and that's what Live music is all about!!!
I know he's not underrated to his fans, but J Mascis is an underrated/undertalked about guitar player. I love his style. I'd call his soloing feel style (which is typically my favorite) but that's just me.

I just love Dinosaur Jr. So consistently good.
What a band, this performance is so heavy and so damn good.
Damn dat solo, when J hit delay
The wall of sound!
Lol
They are just incredible. Such a cool track. Saw DJ live this week in Bristol, J speaks more at the beginning of this video than he did the whole gig. Legend.
Cmon, the intro to Out There was fire
Did I say it wasn’t?
@@Bobo34597 I think I was trying to respond to a different comment
Saw them live a few years back in germany. It was loud! And great it was!
Genius. Dino's guitar sounds... masterpiece.
This is such a catchy, beautiful song. Still floors me after hearing it over 1000 times.
i thought he said "Amy, watch the corners" I thought holy shit J mentioned someone in a song. "Hey ME ! ofcourse. my favorite band ever. they were all mine for years. OMG that was just classic - Dinosaur revisiting to find them still this good!!! : )
That's a crazy bass player.
Lou Barlow is a great bassist, even better guitarist, and even better singer. Sebadoh is my all time favorite band Barlow is in. Folk Implosion is great too, but honestly, the stuff where Lou sings is the best.
There was a time when J. and Lou had a falling-out, but they eventually reconciled and reformed Dino Jr. -- good thing they did!
Vladimir Medvedev Lou is the best!
Lou can play any type of fish.
ofcourse!
That Solo!
incredible musicians
Nice song jay is great!!!
essa música faz parte da minha vida!!! :)
Esta canción forma parte de mi vida, una pequeña parte de mi adolescencia. Me encanta.
Porra, é bom até ao vivo, que música 💓💓💓
Essa música é foda demais!
Hope y'all break this one out at the Ryman! Always wanted to see it live. Kick ass tune!
Adore the vocals..
Amazing song. A big hug from Brazil. 🤗
This is my favorite song from them.
Seeing you guys tonight at Crescent Ballroom and again tomorrow in Tucson!!! 2 Days of Dinosaur!!!!!!! Wish i could see Sebadoh...
Insane how tight this band is! Not an easy song, and they hit everything perfectly
Oh so brilliant, lucky they are coming to Liverpool in September . I cant wait these guys so creative. Rock
look how high J's capo is...all the bottom end is being covered by Lou. my speakers are picking up lots of bass.
Yep same here. Most people saying to turn up the bass are probably using laptop speakers.
The bass player is the greatest smoothie drinking hippie out there
Its amazing!!
Just brilliant love this song so much 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Larga vida a esta banda!!
Isso é bom de mais!!!!
This song is amazing
J said in a recent interview that he didn't know how to palm mute until "about 2 years ago". You can see here that that riff is not palm muted even though it sounds like it hahahaha.
For real? That sounds like a J thing to say hahaha
Palm mutes were like the first thing I learned, my pfp is also op ivy tho so maybe that explains it.
Think it's palm muted on record but he avoids it live; if he's worried about his technique being sloppy then that probably makes sense.
@@DavySolaris if you listen to watch the corners, i just realized that it's one track played normally and another track layered below it which is all left-hand muting and that's why it sounds palm muted
Yooooo
2:38 yeah the drums are great and stuff but if the Guitars plays the Solo show the damn Solo
His guitar solos somehow always make sense and land
Pena ela não executar o solo original, é memorável e matador ! Mas de qualquer forma, dicou d +
com certeza!!!
Fernando martyres costa São 2 solos de fo** do cara***!!!
j improvises every solo, that’s what’s good about it. he always puts his all into his solos. it’s incredible.
Murph fuckin' rulz.
this is a very underrated band, they got some serious talent
Este tema es una maravilla! DINOSAUR JR RULES!
I wish I could write melodies like this, I can write (in my opinion) amazing riffs it’s just melody is a hard thing to come up with

According to RUclips music this was my most listened to song in 2020 and that is very fucking accurate
absolutely impeccable taste 🤌🏽👌🏽

This song sounds way better live IMO
Crunchy
Drums sound good.
Love the glasses

Muito bom!
what he says at the beg about the songm cc please;
Yeah, great idea camera dude. Stand behind J the whole time.
pure art
Great Looking forward to the rest!! Vampires, Never would have seen that coming. I guess crumble was about Zombies?
Way better than the record version
what he says on the beginning? this song is about the (????) life of a vampire.. or unlife
THIS BAND IS GREAT. FUCK AND STRONG. I LOVE IT.
murphs drums are way too quiet on the Album version
They dont suck there sound nice here
I didn't know this song was about vampires? That's cool.

Bad ass jam 🎵
where's the bass?
Have you tried to listen to it on good speakers? :-)
I can barely hear the bass, considering this is Dinosaur Jr. the levels of the bass are too low. Barlow's bass has always been as loud as J's guitar.
+Elimnio
BURRRRN! xD
+Lee Moran try not listening on a laptop
What fret is he capoed on??? Anyone??
D VAN I’m pretty sure it’s 7th fret
